Crumbling Mine

Crumbling Mine is a small mine southeast of Chorrol containing bandits. It contains only one zone, Crumbling Mine.

Notes[edit]

  • At the end of the mine, you can see what appears to be an attempt to tunnel into Chorrol's sewer system, but there is no way of actually entering the sewers. Console commands may be used to access the area, which only contains a few winding passages that eventually end in black, impassable barriers, with no loot or other items.
  • You can see parts of the foundations of Chorrol's city wall in some areas.

Exterior[edit]

Zone 1: Crumbling Mine[edit]

Crumbling Mine

This relatively small mine contains loads of traps. Upon entering through door Out, you will encounter an enemy guarding a minor loot chest in the first room. Advancing further leads you to another room with an enemy and a Swinging Mace trap at E. Search the minor loot chest in this room, then choose one of two paths. The path to the right leads past one enemy, one minor loot chest, and two bedrolls (b) before ending in another room. The second path only features one minor loot chest before ending in the same room found at the end of the first path. This room contains two enemies in close proximity, a dining table, two bottles of cheap wine, various cutlery, and a slaughtered deer in a dark nook, probably serving as food.

Going deeper into the mine leads past a room on the right, which collapses as you approach due to a Cave In trap at C. Further on are two more traps. You should first watch for another Swinging Mace trap at D, then avoid the Falling Logs at F. The path ends in a bandit camp, which consists of one regular enemy, the boss-level bandit at A, the boss chest at B, two tents with two bedrolls (b), and more cheap wine. At the end of the camp, you can see Chorrol's sewer system through a hole in the wall; judging from the various scattered tools such as pickaxes and shovels, the bandits are trying to use this breach to access Chorrol. It is impossible to access the sewers, however.
