Falanu Hlaalu - are you dead enough for her taste?
Falanu Hlaalu - are you dead enough for her taste?

Falanu Hlaalu is a merchant at All Things Alchemical in Skingrad. Falanu Hlaalu sells alchemy equipment and ingredients. She also seems to have a disturbing penchant for necrophilia (some NPCs may mention to you or each other about how they've seen her hanging around the graveyard at night with a strange smile on her face), and may be involved in worship of the Daedric Prince Sanguine. She's a member of House Hlaalu and hints that she has recently "moved" in from Morrowind province. More likely she was exiled from the province due to necrophilia. This is especially likely due to the Dunmer culture's high value of ancestors.

[edit] Notes

  • When you ask around about Falanu, people seem to think she's a man instead of a woman.
  • She makes reference to herself being the only alchemist in Skingrad. This is incorrect, since Sinderion lives down the street at the West Weald Inn.
  • Once you have read Modern Heretics, spoken with Ulene Hlervu about "Cheydinhal", or spoken with Trayvond the Redguard, a new "Daedra cults" conversation topic will appear. When you speak to Falanu about this, she will mark Sanguine's Shrine on your map.

[edit] Unique Dialogue

"Me? I'm Falanu. House Hlaalu. As if that matters here."
"I'm the only alchemist in Skingrad. Not much business here, but I can't go back to Morrowind. It's just like anywhere else in the Empire."
"By the way... do you happen to know what the fine is here in Cyrodiil for necrophilia? Just asking."
(after the reply "Uh...excuse me?"): Oh. Nothing. I was just wondering.
(after the reply "No idea"): "Thanks anyway."
(after the reply "Is it the first offense?"): "Let's assume...no."
(then after the reply "Then it's at least 500 gold."): "That's nothing compared to Morrowind. Thanks."
