[edit] Hunting
hunting in the wilderness of Cyrodil
In oblivion there are many ways in how you can go about doing it you can do it purely for fun as it is a great thing to do when you are bored or if you are into roleplaying you can do it as a job/lifestyle also it is a good source of income for low level characters. one example would be if you are say level 2 or 3 and you are afraid of going into dungeons becuase of fear that some strange creature will jump down from the ceilng and snap your neck before you even have chance to see what attacked you, hunting might be a good source of income and a way to gather up your marksmanship skill and stealth skills.
How To Hunt: The best way is with a bow and some nice arrows of the best quality avaliable at your level also if u have a high stregnth carry a nice claymore to disopse of any bandits encounterd or if you are a high level bears aswell.good hunting grounds are the great forest region, just west of bruma (where you will also see the imperial legion foreseters if you havent seen what they do i'd go and check it out for yourself !) and also another good hunting grounds are count anvil. and a very important trip is to NEVER GO INTO DUNGEONS you are a hunter not an adventurer you take the less risky although less profitable path of hunting.
What To Hunt: animals to hunt are wolves as there pelts wiegh bassicaly nothing and your going to get atleast 5 gold off each one so if you get 10 pelts each trip you can get 50 gold which is qiute good for a low level chracter altough mid to high level charcters wont profit much money but money is money... deer are fun to hunt as they put up no fight and there meat provides good alchemy affects. bears and lions are not a good idea as they are strong and there pelts wieght arent worth the gold although a bear pelt does make a nice decoration in your home.
Overall hunting is fun but not very profitable for higher level characters plus it does give a good excuse to explore oblvions well detailed enviroment.
