Notes

  • You cannot enter this dungeon until you start the related quest. Before that, the main entrance will be locked ("requires a key", although there is no key); the door is automatically unlocked at stage 20 of the quest (i.e., when Hannibal gives you your assignment).

  • The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 2, 0
  • This location's map marker (M on map) is named Nenyond Twyll (editor name NenyondTwyllMapMarker). The entrance door is NW of the marker, 40 feet away.
  • 2 Wilderness Creatures (Forest variety) are near the entrance
  • The following plants can be found near the entrance: 2 Columbine plants, 5 Monkshood plants, and 2 Domica Redwort plants

Zone 1: Nenyond Twyll

There are two doors that lead to the second zone, Nenyond Twyll Riellesel. You will use door D to access the second zone. Door C is for returning from the second zone. The hidden doors (E and F) that prevent initial access to door C can only be opened using the pressure plate (cyan dot) on the east side of the hidden doors.

The first room contains a trap at T. The only purpose of this trap is to kill your companion, Fithragaer; the trap will not do any damage to you or other creatures. It is possible to keep Fithragaer alive, as detailed in the quest notes, although doing so prevents the quest from updating properly.

Occupants:

Treasure:

Traps:

  • 1 Ceiling Spikes trap (this particular trap will kill Fithragaer but subsequently does no damage to anyone) at location T on map

Doors and Gates:

  • There are three doors in/out of this zone
  • 2 Hidden Doors at E and F, opened by stepping on the pressure plate (cyan dot) on the east side of E.

Other:

  • 3 bedrolls at locations b on map

Zone 2: Nenyond Twyll Riellesel

You will enter this zone through door D and exit through door C. To complete the quest, you will need to find Mucianus Allias (but not necessarily kill), located at Q. The hidden doors (E and F) that block access to Allias' room are opened using the activation "Push Block" (cyan dot) on the wall just west of the door.

This zone primarily consists of a large room mostly filled by a pool of water. On the walkway across the pool are two Varla Stones (V). The activation switches to open the Varla Stone cages are both in the water (the two cyan dots) on either side of the Varla Stone platform. Note, however, that there are four Dark Welkynd Stone traps (T) on pedestals standing in the water. The other treasure of interest is the boss-level Ayleid Reliquary at B.
