Zone 1: Ninendava
The Ayleid Statue in this dungeon is north of the entrance (at S on the map), nearly straight ahead of you when you enter the dungeon. However, the gate at C will initially be blocking your access to the statue. The gate has a hard-level lock that can be opened using lockpicking or spells; alternatively, you can obtain the Ninedava Gate Key from the far west side of the dungeon (k). Exploring that part of the dungeon also allows you to loot the boss chest (B).
The initial intersection can be somewhat confusing on the map: it is a three-way intersection that you first enter from the south. Although the map makes it look like a four way intersection (with a fourth option to proceed northwards), the fourth corridor is actually at a lower level. From the intersection you have the options:
- South to the entrance.
- West (left-hand turn when you first enter) leads you to the Ayleid statue, after some minor zigzags and climbing two sets of stairs.
- East (right-hand turn when you first enter) leads you you downstairs, looping back underneath the original intersection, then continuing to the west into the swinging blade trap at T.
Occupants:
- 5-8 Vampire Enemies (each 50% probability Vampire, 33% Undead, 17% Vampire Beast)
- 2-5 Zombie Undead
Treasure:
- 1 Ayleid Statue at location S on map
- 1 boss-level Coffin (Vampire variety; locked) at B
- 3 Ayleid Casks 01 (1 locked)
- 3 Coffins 01
- Ninedava Gate Key at k. The key is on top of the book Darkest Darkness which is sitting on a table next to a (locked) Ayleid Cask.
Traps:
- 1 Swinging Blade trap at location T on map
Doors and Gates:
- There is one door (at Out) in/out of this zone, leading outside
- 1 Gate at C (locked, "hard" level lock or can be opened by Ninedava Gate Key)
