Oblivion:Non Random Loot

There are a small number of non-random enchanted items that can be found in the game. Most generic magic items (Generic Magic Apparel and Generic Magic Weapons) are only found in random loot. The items listed on this page, however, are not randomly determined and will always be placed in the specified locations at the start of the game. It is possible for the items to subsequently move (the notes provide details on a few notorious cases), so if you want to find these items it is often best to collect the items early in the game.

For each item located outside, the coordinates are provided. On the PC, the console command SDT 31, then TDT shows you your current coordinates. The map link can also be used to go to the Oblivion map, centered on the location of the item.

Also, the footnotes provide more detailed information on how to find each item. Even when using the coordinates it can be very difficult to find some of these items. If you don't want the quick answer and would rather find the items yourself, do not read the small text in the footnotes.

[edit] Non Random Clothing

#1 The amulet is on the second level of the fort exterior. Initially it is hanging in the air a few feet above the ledge in front of the chest, but it frequently falls to the ground. Standing above the sole chest on the second floor, the circular fort wall in your back and facing the inner center of the fort, move forward about 2 meters along the broken ledge rim until you reach the edge. Look right above you, and you should be able to see the yellow amulet floating in the sky. Try grabbing it while jumping or firing an arrow at it to make it fall. If you don't see it in the air, search the ground under your feet carefully.
#2 On a ridge on the outside of the wall. Requires some fancy footwork to get to. Go to the second level, and jump onto the wall in the front. You should be standing in a gap in the wall, looking straight at Cheydinhal. Look down and you'll see a small ledge in front of you. Step on the ledge and slowly follow the ledge to the left. You'll find the ring in the middle of a "X" configuration of gold coins.
#3 Underwater in Lake Rumare next to Fanacasecul. This ring is initially placed just off the end of the northern pier of Fanacasecul. However, it inevitably rolls downhill from its initial location to a random spot on the lake bottom; after it has rolled finding the ring can be nearly impossible. Therefore, if you want to retrieve this ring it is strongly recommended that you try to obtain it early in the game, before you have ever visited the area. If you immediately go straight to the ring's initial location it is possible to grab the ring before it tumbles and gets lost (swimming across the lake from the Waterfront District is one way to quickly get to the ring without first dealing with the ruin's bandits). The ring's initial location is in a slight crevice between the rocks found just east of the northeast tower of Fanacasecul (as shown on this image). The crevice is on the lake bottom (the underside of the rocks). An Ale bottle is nearby on the lake bottom, but the bottle is even more likely to roll away.
#4 Closest landmark is Shadow's Rest Cavern, there are a pair of waterfalls nearby. Looking at the waterfalls from the lake they feed into, go to the waterfall on the right and stand underneath it. The ring should be at your feet, either floating or resting on the bottom
#5 You have to go through the Anvil castle to get the ring. Get into the Countess' private quarters area. One of the doors on the map will lead you to a balcony outside. The ring is sitting on the table.
#6 Tricky part is not being seen taking them.
#7 Only accessible in the Shivering Isles expansion pack. The ring is beside a pair of fur gauntlets and two bones.

[edit] Non Random Armor

#1 Go to the far northwest end of the island. Facing the west edge of the map, dive into the water and follow the land to the bottom. You should find skeletal remains with the helmet by his head.
#2 Nothing complicated here. Pick a lock, sneak in, go upstairs, pick another lock of the door in the bedroom, and you will now be on some sort of landing. The helmet is on the right, on top of the dresser. (stealing, obviously)
#3 It's not really hidden, just guarded (slaughterfish). After clearing out the Mausoleum, there will be a locked gate to an underwater part of the map. There's a hole in the floor that leads to the section the armor is located. Ironically, there's a fine steel warhammer on the floor before you reach the hole that has a higher value than the armor
#4 The boots are located in an upstairs bedroom. Taking them is theft (although you get a great chance to steal them during The Unfortunate Shopkeeper). Or you can just buy them from Norbert Lelles.

[edit] Non Random Weapons

#1 Just inside the cave you'll see a large room with coffins lining the left wall. Your target is the furthest coffin, highest level. Walk over to the other side, and jump to the coffin. As you're jumping, you should see an outline of a sword. Activate like crazy until it's in your inventory.
#2 This one is difficult to get to unless your character is good with acrobatics. The chamber with the Vampire Matriarch houses the axe, but the axe is high up. A character with good acrobatics can jump from one of the protruding ledges, to the walkway above; alternatively you can use paintbrushes to get up there.
#3 Fairly straightforward. After clearing out 2nd level of the fort of the 2 conjurers, there is a staircase leading to a room, but the bridge is out. Looking at the room headon, turn to your right, and you should see a skull on a horizontal beam. The axe is right by it, just jump towards it and activate till you get it.
#4 Right near the edge of the map between Skingard and Kvatch, head east from Fort Istirus. Keep looking to your left, and after a few minutes you should see skeletal remains. The dagger is right by the remains.
#5 Private quarters of his house in Anvil. It's sitting on top of a desk (stealing, obviously).
#6 Available for purchase, or you can try to steal them.
