Ongar the World-Weary takes a break in Olav's Tap and Tack in Bruma

Ongar the World-Weary is a Thieves Guild fence in Bruma. He can be found either at home in Ongar's House or at Olav's Tap and Tack.

Because Ongar is a Thieves Guild fence, his barter services are only available after you have joined the guild. Ongar has the lowest mercantile skill of all the fences and some cheap items. He always has a supply of 100 lockpicks, which will restock every three days. He will not barter outside.

His house is in southern Bruma, behind the Great Chapel of Talos and facing Istirus Brolus' and Jearl's houses. The entrance area holds a clutter barrel and a cupboard that contains food. The dining table holds five ears of corn, a loaf of bread, and a cheese wedge. A grain sack sits next to the clutter barrel, and a clutter sack sits next to the fireplace. His single bed is in the northern corner and a chest at the foot of the bed contains clutter; on top sits an iron shortsword. The small crate next to the bed contains more clutter, and the basket on top of it holds three apples. A dish on the table in the western corner holds fifteen blackberries, with an olive vest next to it. The chest here contains armor and/or weapons, and the bookshelf next to it holds a pair of oiled linen shoes and a covered bowl that contains clutter. These two containers are the only in the house that do not respawn.

[edit] Notes

  • If his disposition toward you is high enough (above 60) he will say 'My favorite customer! Whaddya got?' when you initiate his service.
  • His habit of stealing while at Olav's often gets him into fights when other NPCs detect him.
