Prior Maborel is a male Breton Priest and a monk at Weynon Priory. After you have spoken to Jauffre about the topic "Assistance," he will offer to let you borrow his horse. (Without talking to Jauffre about "Assistance," it is possible for Prior Maborel to offer you the horse, but when you go to take the horse, it will still have a red icon.) You will not need to ever return the horse, because Prior Maborel does not survive the Weynon Priory quest (he is the victim of a scripted death).

Just like Jauffre, Prior Maborel's body is tagged as a quest item, meaning it will never disappear from its resting place outside Weynon Priory.

• Prior Maborel is one of the few NPCs to suffer a Scripted Death but to not to be tagged as Essential. Thus it is possible for him to be killed before his scripted death. Doing so causes a strange (but harmless) glitch: when the time for his Scripted Death comes, his body switches places to its scripted location.
• He wears a rare and weightless Black Robe.
