[edit] Crimson Eviscerator
This is an enchanted Daedric dagger (one-handed blade, speed 1.4, reach 0.6) that can be found in the Unusual Box on top of the Shrine of Sithis.
Obtaining a high-level version of this dagger is difficult for two reasons.
- The level of the dagger is set at the time when you first install the Deepscorn Hollow mod, not at the time when you open the unusual box. See Raiment of the Crimson Scar for details.
- The version of the dagger that you get is randomly determined, rather than being fixed. Because of the details of how leveled lists work, this means that if your character is level 15 or higher when you install the mod there is a 50% chance you will receive the best possible item for that character level and a 50% chance of getting the second-best item. For example, a level 23 character will get either the level 15-19 or the level 20-24 version; a level 45 character will get either the level 25-29 or the level 30+ version.
The Weakness to Poison effect does not have any stated time limit, which means the effect is zero duration.

* This version was supposed to be the level 5-9 version of the dagger, but was left out of the leveled list and therefore will never be found in game.
This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Official Mods Patch.
[edit] Raiment of the Crimson Scar
The version of the raiment that you receive is based upon the level of your character when you first install the Deepscorn Hollow plugin -- instead of the level of your character when you receive the raiment.
Possible ways to fix this glitch, especially if you installed the plugin when you started the game, include:
- installing the Quest award leveler mod, a painless way to "upgrade" both the Raiment and Eviscerator to match your current level at any time during the game
This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Official Mods Patch.- using the "player.additem" console command to fix this manually (PC only)
- or, as a one-time only upgrade, reinstalling the plugin and restarting this quest from scratch:
- Make sure you have nothing of value anywhere in Deepscorn Hollow
- Leave the area, and create a new, permanent saved game for archiving (in case something doesn't work out as expected)
- Uninstall the plugin
- Load your saved game (ignore any potential warning about missing game contents) and create a new saved game without the plugin
- Reinstall the plugin.
- You will have to redo any parts of the quest you had previously completed and you will lose any quest-specific items and any items that were in Deepscorn Hollow, but you will receive the higher quality raiment matching your current character level.

[edit] Ingredients
| Ingredient Name | Primary Effect | Secondary Effect | Tertiary Effect | Quaternary Effect | Worth | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chokeberry xx009BFE |
Poison Fruit | 1 | 0.1 | |||
| Can be harvested from the Chokeberry Vines in the Garden of Venomgrowth. Chokeberries are listed under ingredients but, similar to Poisoned Apples, they cannot be used to make poisons. Instead they are used directly to poison targets who eat them. The primary difference from Poisoned Apples is that they are not zero-weight, preventing them from being reverse-pickpocketed onto a target. Like Poisoned Apples, they will also kill you should you ingest them. Chokeberries can be combined with other script effect ingredients, although the resulting potions are not generally useful. | ||||||
| Purgeblood Salts xx001372 |
Restore Magicka | Damage Health | Fortify Magicka | Dispel | 0 | 0.4 |
| These salts can be mined from the Purgeblood Crystal Formations by the Font of Renewal. Although primarily useful for curing vampirism at the Font, they can also be used as alchemy ingredients. The Purgeblood Salts will respawn after three days (the Purgeblood Crystal Formations are the only "containers" in Deepscorn Hollow that respawn). The formations can also be exploited to quickly obtain limitless amounts of Purgeblood Salts. If you place two or more salts into one of the formations and then try to withdraw the salts, you will find that the salts are added to your inventory but are not removed from the formation. So if you start by collecting one salt from each of the three formations, then put all three back into one of the formations, you can then "withdraw" those three repeatedly... and of course you can deposit back an even greater number of salts to withdraw them by groups of 30+ for instance. This duplication glitch does not work for any other ingredient though: in the construction set the number of salts is set to -1, which means that the formation provides a never-ending supply, but it apparently works only if there is more than 1 to start with. |
