Oblivion:Random Oblivion World 1
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
This is one of seven random oblivion worlds; in addition, the Oblivion gate in front of Bravil always connects to this world.
When you step out of the gate the main tower is directly in front of you. However, a War Gate prevents you from taking the direct route to the tower. Instead the recommended route is to find your way to one of the two peripheral towers and activate the gate controls at the top of the tower.
The western tower is the Blood Well and is the slightly shorter route. Head west then north, (clockwise around the loop of islands that makes up most of this world), passing a tilted and inaccessible tower, and then crossing over a narrow bridge. A short ways after the bridge is an entrance to the Caverns of the Abused (if you don't mind taking some damage, you can also jump off the narrow bridge to reach an alternate entrance to the caverns). The lower level of the caverns leads to the Blood Well and a typical setup with a Corpse Masher elevator. The gate controls at the top of the tower are optional at this point; opening the war gate is primarily useful if you would like to get back to the oblivion gate or explore more of this world.
The second option is to go through the eastern tower, the Spindle Shrine. To get there you actually need to start by going southwest from the oblivion gate, which starts you on a chain of islands that eventually lead you counterclockwise to the tower. Along the way you will pass another dysfunctional tilted tower. In the Spindle Shrine the Corpse Masher leads to a higher level door that at first looks like it will lead to the main tower, but, in fact, that bridge is ruined. Continue to the top of the tower to activate the war gate, then return to the bottom of the Spindle Shrine and exit. But don't go back to the original war gate; instead continue a little ways further north, and you will find a second war gate that has now opened up.
The third option for reaching the main tower is to just go around the closed War Gate by jumping into the lava for a moment. If timed and done properly you can sustain minimum damage, although you need to also be prepared to immediately take one or more random daedra and be under fire from several fireball towers.
The main tower in this world is one of the five random towers.
If you take the time to explore more of this world there are a fair number of Fleshy Pods with loot. The most notable one is a boss-level Fleshy Pod, found at the north end of the world on a strange platform that appears to be the top of a submerged tower.
