[edit] Elemental Gods
Gods that have power over Earth, Fire, Ice, Lightning and Water.
[edit] Earth Deity
A deity with powers of tremors and stone. The main skills should include Alteration, Blunt, Heavy Armor and Illusion.
- Nords are ideal. Try giving yourself darker skin than most, or dark brown hair.
- Wear Ebony armor whenever possible.
- Make a custom class known as Earth deity, that has Battlemage properties.
- Use a Warhammer.
- Make custom spells such as a Shield spell called "Stone hide", giving you 50% Shield for *X* duration on self, or a Paralysis spell called "Aftershock".
- Use Burdening spells on your opponents, or for true roleplaying, on yourself, as if you were truly made of stone (however you will probably need a high strength).
- Perhaps clear a ruined fort of enemies and make a home out of it. Pretend that the fort started crumbling when you approached.
- Avoid water whenever possible. If you can't, swim right to the bottom and stay there, as if you were a sinking stone.
- Lay out random loot or objects (not weapons, just things like plates and pitchers) on the ground and then walk through it, as if your footsteps had made it all fall down.
- Hit a door and open it at the same time, as if you were hammering through it.
- If you want, you could get a high Conjuration level and make a custom Summon Storm Atronach spell, with a long duration, as a bodyguard, though try and not get it into combat, as its lightning spell sort of takes away from the experience.
- Wear the Ring Of Burden whenever possible to make it seem that you're as heavy as stone.
[edit] Fire Deity
This is a good idea for a Breton or a Dunmer (preferably a Dunmer: Fire Resistance 75%).
Note: Damage inflicted upon yourself bypasses resistances so being a Breton, Orc, or Dunmer will not protect you from fire damage on self.
Note: For fire damage on self without health damage make a spell with 3 points fire damage for 1 second on touch and 3 points fortify magicka on self for 120 seconds, naming it accordingly. when you cast it your character will be on fire for 120 seconds with no damage coming from the flames. Be careful though, as this will count as an assault if you touch someone with it.
- Make your character either as black as you can (like your body is made of obsidian or some other volcanic rock) or an orange-yellow color (like you're MADE of fire), and make their hair look like it's fire (spiked hair if you can get it; either way, make it red, yellow, or orange).
- Dress in bright clothing, preferably red.
- Use Fire and Light spells.
- Wear armor, clothing, or jewelry enchanted with Resist Magicka (ideal for Bretons, due to their natural 50% Magicka Resistance), Fire Shield (Dunmer's natural 75% Fire Resistance, plus a little more protection from weapons), or Resist Fire (Dunmer again).
- Wear armor with a Weakness to Frost enchantment.
- Make your own Restore Health/Fatigue Potions, with a name like "Magma of Life", and ONLY heal using these.
- Enchant ALL your weapons with Fire Damage and Weakness to Fire.
- Place the bones of those who defy you (or any you manage to find lying around) on your doorstep as a warning to others.
- DO NOT GO IN WATER!!!!!
- Eat Fire Salt and ingredients from the Planes of Oblivion.
- Show the foolish mortals of Cyrodiil that invoking your wrath is a grave mistake! If someone makes you angry, unleash powerful Fire spells that have a HUGE range and a long duration on them, and on anyone who tries to stop you!
- Use a Flame Atronach as your bodyguard (if you have the wizards tower download, or you can just summon one- try making a custom, longer summon fire atronach spell).
- For an intimidating deity, Daedric armor is the way to go (it's black and red, not to mention all the spikes); for a more classy or noble look, go for Ebony (no red, but the Black with gold designs is pretty fancy).
- If you want to actually catch on fire you can. Just enchant any armor you'll wear with fire damage on self. Now you are on fire! However, you will have to constantly heal yourself since you will be taking damage.
- Pretend you are The Devil or a servant of Him. Unleash infernos across Tamriel, killing all inhabitants inside cities. Pretend that Kvatch was only the beginning...
- Be aggressive.
- Be fearful and respectful to the water deity but at the same time be at constant war.
[edit] Ice Deity
A deity of ice has been uncovered!
- Obviously make yourself a Nord, for the frost resistance, but Bretons can work too.
- Include in your main skills: Destruction, Blade, Light Armor, Conjuration and Acrobatics.
- Golden rule: the ONLY city you can go to is Bruma! All of the other cities are too warm for you, so never go into them.
- Stay in all the cold, snowy parts of Cyrodiil.
- Make Dive Rock your home.
- Only use swords, and they should all have Frost Damage - Chillrend is an ideal weapon.
- If you want to achieve full power as an Ice Deity, enchant your armor with frost resistance up to 100%!
- Wear an item with weakness to fire on self, or use 'The Lord' birthsign which has this weakness already.
- Use extremely powerful frost damage spells.
- Walk on water, pretending it's frozen.
- Only use the Conjuration skill to summon Frost Atronachs!
- If you go to any other city, take off all your clothes, and run around naked, so you're not too hot!
- Only wear Mithril armor or white robes. The Priest of Order garments look as if made of ice so those are another choice as well.
- Frostcrag Spire makes a great palace for an Ice Deity.
- With the spire you can also use Frost Salts to summon Frost Atronachs.
- Note: Frost Shield will not defend you from frost damage cast on yourself
[edit] Nature Deity
A Deity in tune with plants and forests.
- Make yourself a Bosmer, as they seem to be best linked with forests.
- Wear a green hood and robe, also wear leather gauntlets and boots
- Make command creature spells and only use them on "Natural" down-to-earth creatures (Excluding Ogres, Goblins and mudcrabs) such as Minotaurs, Spriggans and wolves.
- Get the Boots of the Crusader. They may not quite fit the role, however they have the Woodland Grace enchantment, meaning that all forest creatures will not attack you.
- Use Alchemy frequently, but pretend you got the equipment from the heart of the woods.
- Live out in the heart of the woods between Skingrad and Chorrol.
- Or if you have the KOTN live in Kyneraths grotto.
- Wield a bow, but only use when absolutely necessary; remember, the Nature Deity is benevolent and kind.
- If you find an Imperial Legion Forester, reverse pickpocket him a potion called "Natures blessing" which should include fortify health, fortify fatigue and 100% resistance to poison, to aid him in the middle of the forest.
- Or, since they ARE hunting and killing YOUR forest creatures maybe you kill them. or sabotage them.
- Have a chameleon spell called "Forest Concealment" so you can blend in with the forest itself.
- Have a high acrobatics skill and pretend to leap from tree-to-tree.
- Despise any who have axes while in the forest (i.e. Bandits) use "Forest Concealment" to swiftly and stealthily take them out.
- Have a 100% weakness to fire, as plants burn very easily.
- Place plants on the road, to bless any noble people who walk along it.
- Have fun as a Nature Deity!
[edit] Storm Deity
You could become a Storm deity, for example, you can become Thor, the God of Thunder, Lightning and Rain of the ancient Norse religion.
- To be a Storm Deity, it is best to find a tall tower - like Frostcrag Spire - (preferably, not ruined), mountain or other monolithic area. Remember, Deities love being noticed and revered, and a Storm Deity would resemble power and force, so something grand is needed.
- Be a Nord, as the Nords are seen as the tallest and most physically powerful race.
- Make a new Class and name it suitably (such as God of Thunder). Choose powerful Attributes and Skills, such as Strength, Endurance, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Blunt and other physical skills. (NOTE: Security and Stealth should not be taken, neither should Alchemy, Light Armor or Restoration)
- Put the difficulty slider quite a ways down, or even put on God Mode (only for completely fun play, would only recommend doing so if you have already finished the game (God Mode Cheat:tgm))
- Use a two handed hammer and either find a shock-enchanted one, or enchant your own. (e.g. Nerveshatter)
- Use Dwarven Armor or other large, grand armor and enchant it, or used pre-enchanted items (shock enchants). (NOTE: Do not use Daedric Armor or weapons, as it looks too much like fire)
- If you used God Mode and are not a part of the Mages Guild, use the cheat "showspellmaking", and make a shock spell that is unbelievably powerful. Only ever use this power if a large group of people are against you.
- Make a few storm-related spells and then make a blessing of yourself (Such as the Blessing of Thor) and use it on people who serve you well.
- Make grand artifacts of yourself, recruit followers and award them for deeds, or quests well done.
- Give your followers quests, by employing them to help you rid a cave of your enemy.
- Remember, Lightning hits the Earth, make folklore about this and say it is because you and the Earth deity (give her/she a name) are at constant war. You should kill creatures of the earth, such as Spriggans and Dreugh. Creatures that tunnel and Mine, who make the Earth their home must also die, such as Goblins and Rats.
- Or as lightning needs earth to electricute something tell tales of how you and the Earth Deity are in constant contact.
- Complete the Fingers of the Mountain quest
- Find a book that has something to do with Lightning, or, if you are a modder, make a Book that is your holy Bible and Tome. Put it in your temple. Carry it with you when you go to smite your foes or reward your followers.
- If you cheated already, or still are OK about doing it, raise all your skills and attributes to 255.
There are countless possibilities for Storm deities.
[edit] Water Deity
- Probably best to play this as a strange blue-looking Argonian. Mess with the Character Creation until you have something sufficiently unearthly.
- As water is known to be smart choose all magic skills but switch alchemy for something like hand to hand for those unworthy of being killed by your magic.
- Be the unheard of Daedric god.
- Make a spell that heals on touch/target and call it "Blessing of Water" or something like that.
- Drink self-made potions called "Water Essence" when you are away from water. It should have the effects of restore fatigue and health. To expand this, find some way to enchant your stuff to hurt you when you are out of water (if this is possible, it may not be)
- Live IN or on top of the water. Find one of the small islands in the middle of the river and set up your throne of sorts there. Put Water Essence everywhere, put books about water, Daedric gods and such all over the place. Go slay some slaughterfish and mudcrabs and collect crab meat and scales. Drop them somewhere on your throne island as sacrifices your subjects made.
- Or you can live in smugglers cove the first bit of the thieves den because that has water and a bed.
- Kill NPCs that go swimming without permission.
- You have a long time hatred of Anvil (sailors trespassing in YOUR waters)-seek vengeance!
- Adding onto the hatred of Anvil, start a self made questline, involving you picking off beggars to merchants to guards, to causing a panic in the city.
- Try and kill them by commanding them and taking them to your slaughter fish servants.
- But you dont hate other cities try and offer your water healing spells to the sick.
- Avoid lighting at all times. you are made of water and are not immune to Lighting attacks.
- Get yourself a staff that has very powerful destruction effects. Get another that has really good Illusion.
- Have permanent water walking or water breathing somehow - go get the Jewel of Rumare?
- When fighting, destroy things with ice spells. Speak out loud some incantation in a god voice when you're doing this. Don't use swords (exception being Chillrend as it has the appearance of being made of ice).
- Enchant armour/robes/clothes with 100% frost ristance as frost is water.
- Wear clothing that would suit a water god - dress in all blue enchanted stuff, don't wear armor.
- When on the water (water walking), you should use chameleon and healing effects.
- You should not heal yourself when off of water unless you're using your Water Essence
- Wear either robes or armor; maybe armor when underwater and robes when walking over it.
- Live in a single lake but when you go out of the water look for other water masses, as if you cannot be away from water for too long.
- Get weightless items and enchant them with water walking or breathing, and reverse pickpocket them onto your followers.
- Go visit slaughterfish, mudcrabs and whatever else is down there, and hammer them with charm spells. Pretend to "command" your new subjects and make up laws for them. If they are doing something wrong, kill them. Show no mercy towards disobedience. Gift them occasionally - acquire stuff from outside your realm (in the stores), and dump it in the water.
- If you're using the Fin Gleam helmet (found in the water just west of the small island west of Anvil's harbor) and you plan on wearing armor, wear glass for the green color.
- Try enchanting a ring for chameleon 20% or a spell for chameleon 10% to look like you are made of water but not totally invisible.
- On the PC, use the console to add yourself to the creature faction, stopping your slaughterfish and mudcrab armies from betraying you.
- Using the console make the giant slaughterfish docile and make it your pet. Set up base in its cavern.
- Try and find the fin gleam helm and use that chest as I dont think it respawns for your loot.
- Have a few human followers as well as fish.
- If you use the constuction set make an underwater house.
- As the nature deity needs you for his/her plants to grow either say how weak the nature deity is because he/she needs help or say how good friends you are with the nature deity.
- Scorn the fire deity and how weak he is compared to you and tell tales of you battle non-stop with him in a never ending war.
- Raise your Intelligence and Willpower as you are the god of water and water symbolises wisdom.
