Use your physical prowess to achieve your goals.

[edit] Variations

[edit] Archer

Archers are people with afinity to bows, as you know. If you like Ranged and Stealth you should pick this particular class. As an Archer, wear light armor, blunt or sword, bow of course and you may chose a more magical Archer with spells for fortify marksmanship, sneak, etc... Your race should be Wood Elf, Dark Elf, or any other race that has afinity to bows. As your life as an Archer begins, you should...

  • Join the Fighters Guild
    • Join Thieves guild (optional)
  • Start doing quests and main quest.
    • You could should stay with low profile and start doing both Theive's Guild and Fighter's Guild quests.
  • You may worship the Nine or even Daedra, whatever you please.
    • What kind of Archer you are doesn't matter, all have the same goal, wealth, power and fame.
  • If you have the Shivering Isles expansion, be sure to do the Lady of Paranoia quest, you get a unique bow called Ruin's Edge, which has a random magic effect on strike.

[edit] Arch-Knight

Ever wanted to be more poweful than an ordinary knight? Become an Arch-knight! Serve a certain town or city, perhaps even a small village like Pell's Gate! Buy as big of a house as you can find! Decorate it with armour and trophies of your many battles! You could even pretend a Minotaur horn belonged to a Dremora leader. Battlehorn Castle is a good home for an Arch-knight like yourself. Although you are a noble, you aren't a count. Visit your town, and defend it from all evils. Do quests to gain money, maybe even open a store. Train often, your main skills should be Blade and Heavy Armor.

  • Have a follower, pretend he or she is your apprentice. Take them out on excursions. If they are killed, hold a funeral ceremony, maybe cremate them.
    • Visit your Count or Countess, roleplay that they told you to clear out a ruin.
  • You could be an evil arch-knight, burning cities and taking them over. Kvatch is always a good place to start.
  • Consort with daedra to find out about the Mythic Dawn, or a Daedric Prince who might be invading cyrodil.
    • Be creative! Try and find an individual look. Wear the best armor you find no matter if they match, have an array of talents, blunt, blade, magic and archery, do all to protect your town.

[edit] Ayleid Warrior

An Ayleid Guardian

Wear mostly or all Elven armor and use Elven weapons, or you could also use Ayleid War Axes or Umaril's Sword from The Knights of the Nine Plug-in. Always wear an Ayleid Crown! The Crown of Nenalata and The Crown of Lindai are good choices.

Get the Finger of the Mountain spell, for it is an Ayleid spell.

Put people under your control (permanent command humanoid effect only available on PC version with console commands)! You could put only High Elves under your control using the console commands and then kill the rest! (Anyone you like may be spared as you can pretend they too are following you.) Kill everyone that rejects the Ayleid rulers (spare other High Elves). When everything else is conquered, conquer the Imperial City and sit in the council chamber, declaring yourself King of Cyrodiil!

[edit] Besieger

Lord Drad's Estate is good to siege

Whether you're defending your land, or crushing any opposition in your way, a besieger knows of only advanced battle tactics and death. Do you? Prepare your character. It doesn't matter what your character looks like, anyone can attack anything. For skills and classes, it's best to be combat or magic specialized. Stealth just isn't the right way to lay siege to a city, is it?

Equipment is very important for a besieger. You will be attacking a location for most likely more than a day, so prepare accordingly. If you are combat specialized, it is best to bring heavy armor, a claymore or longsword as a main weapon and a shortsword or dagger as a backup. If you are magic specialized, bring robes enchanted with Health or Shield, your staff and a dagger or shortsword in case of close combat. You should also bring a few potions to restore your Magicka. Remember to bring a healthy supply of food so you don't get sick or fatigued. The longer a besieger isn't in battle, the higher the chance you will lose.

You will first need to decide how your character starts out. Is he a newbie at fighting and is a lowly Supply Boy? Maybe he's come back from retirement and is a battle-hardened Siege Commander. Whatever he is, be sure to know how you will play out your besieger from that point in his career.

What does a besieger do? Well, lay siege to things, of course. But what? This is when the decision from you impacts many things. First, decide where or what you will be besieging. Also figure out why that place. Maybe you're a band of Orcs who decide to attack Lord Drad's estate for the cruelty he has put his slaves through. Maybe you're just a barbaric tribe with a lot of guts. Whatever it is, make sure it's a good reason, and one you can fight for a long time.

Once you pick your location, it's time to prepare for the fight. Armies that just rush in without thinking don't last long. You need to scout out your target. If it's a city, maybe learn where the guards are posted so you can sneak in through another way and make your attack. If it's a fort, you could see what kind of traps are set and use them to your advantage. Maybe the battle takes place in the middle of a forest. Find some good bushes to hide in, or rocks to hide extra supplies in. One of the most important tactics in siege warfare is knowing the territory. Make sure you know what the objective of the siege is. Don't eliminate an entire population only to find you were supposed to destroy the archers' towers.

The battle is what you've been preparing for. At least, hopefully you've prepared for it. Many things determine how you will fight this battle. What your objective is, your specialization, what you are besieging, etc. It's a good idea to think this through beforehand, otherwise you will be caught off-guard, and that's not good. If you are just here to defeat another enemy, find some strategic position. Fighting as a mage or archer allows you to be farther away from the action, which gives you a pretty wide selection of places to fight from.

Another important thing to remember is what your part in this siege is. Are you a plain fighter just stalling the enemy until your goal is completed? Maybe you're a saboteur planting explosives to destroy walls or towers weakening a fort's defensive capability. (You may have to improvise here, not many things look like explosives) Whatever it is, remember that a good besieger knows the territory and himself.

Be sure to have set up supply caches around the area for quick replenishing. Of course, you won't be able to just rely on these. Imagine you're fighting someone. Would you really be able to run away, search through a crate, and reequip yourself in brand new armor while someone is cutting you down? Remember, try to be realistic.

  • PC NoteIt's difficult to get a whole lot of guards to come after you outside of the cities. The Open Cities mod allows guards to pass through easily., and the Construction Set is very helpful for immersing yourself deeper into being a besieger. If you have it and are moderately able at it then read on...

Headquarters- It's best if you have some place where you hold all meetings to discuss battle plans and produce equipment. Of course, if that doesn't fit in with what you want to do, by all means don't do it. With the CS, you are free to create hovels to houses to towers to castles, so be creative. Maybe furnish it with trophies from your past battles. It may be a good idea to have a small outpost near a siege target for monitoring. It shouldn't be too big, maybe just set up a few tents or something else to that effect. How weird would it be if all of a sudden you walk out of a city and see castles and towers along the road that weren't there yesterday? These outposts are good places to store food for battle-weary comrades.

I, for one know exactly how little freedom you get with choosing followers. Most of the time these followers aren't dressed at all for the occasion. With the CS, you are free to create a band of fellow soldiers to aid your siege. Make sure not to make too many, otherwise your game will start to lag. Maybe give them all a common armor piece to identify each other in the heat of battle.

Caches- Stick some barrels and crates wherever you feel is good. Of course, in reality you won't just find crates that happen to be in the exact spot that's most strategic. But who says they were already there? Maybe your comrades put them there in advance...

[edit] Blade

A blade in the Cloud Ruler Temple Armory

There is a very broad roleplaying opportunity with the Blades. When Jauffre gives you the opportunity to Join the Blades, accept.

Live at Cloud Ruler Temple. Set up a room there and make it your home base. Every morning get up early and go have breakfast. Suit up in your armor and head down to the armory for some Blade, Blunt, Hand-to-Hand or Bow practice. You could also Roleplay that you're the Official Battlemage, Archer or any other Official charge of the Blades and do your other training duties. Greet your brothers and sisters and go on duty: patrol the interior of the temple, the walls outside, or even around the border of the temple itself. You could have a night shift and watch the wilderness from the wall towers, shooting fireballs to light up the ground if you see something. Pretend you are training the two Blades that are practicing on the patch of grass.

There are 18 (2 for each town) NPCs around Cyrodiil who are affiliated with the Mythic Dawn cult, being Sleeper-Agents. As a Blade, it is your duty to fight this organization. At night, or when they aren't at home, search through the homes of people you suspect. If you find copies of the Mythic Dawn Commentaries or Red robe uniforms, then you know you have a Mythic Dawn faction member. Track them down and assassinate them. Confront them in full Blades gear and drop their Mythic Dawn gear in front of them. When no one can see you, cut them down (although chances are they will attack you upon sight if you have completed Dagon Shrine thus giving you a right to defend yourself).

Get a full suit of Blades armor, complete with Blades Shields, either an Akaviri Katana or Akaviri Dai-Katana and the Draconian Madstone, in the East Wing armory. You should enchant all of your armor with Transcendent Sigil Stones, also if you don't like to use Akaviri Katana or Dai-Kai because it doesn't do much damage you could use the Ebony Blade or Goldbrand; Unfortunately you have to associate with a Daedra Cult, but you could just infiltrate the Cult and then kill the cult members. Wear this often. Get a set of cover clothes. A regular-looking set of shirts, shoes, and pants for when you need to hide your identity. It doesn't need to be high-class or low-class. Middle-class might be good. But if you want, just use whatever you want. Blades aren't supposed to advertise their identity to the world, as every Blade you can talk to will tell you.

Don't associate with anything evil. You can join the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Knights of the White Stallion, Knights of the Thorn, Knights of the Nine etc. Join the Order of the Virtuous Blood and get paid to go track down and kill vampires. Visit Ayleid ruins, caves, and forts, and kill off evil sorcerer cults and necromancers. Whenever you run into bandits, take a moment to kill them in order to protect the good citizens of Tamriel. Avoid killing animals. If you have to, use spells to get rid of them or just ignore them if possible. If you have Knights of the Nine get the Boots of the Crusader, with the Boots equipped wild animals don't attack you, they just stand. Clean out various shady elements of the Empire, such as the Thieves Guild or the Dark Brotherhood. Go undercover and join the Thieves Guild for a while. Wait until you get up to where you can meet the Gray Fox, then assassinate him and take out the remaining members. Do not associate yourself with worshiping anything other than Talos and The Nine Divines. Stay away from Daedra worship. If you want to make up your own blade quests then you could pretend you're reading the Akaviri Orders and following them.

[edit] Boxer

  • Create a male Redguard, Nord, Orc, or Khajiit with Hand to Hand, Speechcraft, Athletics, Light Armor, Block, and whatever else as major skills, choose combat as their specialty, and Strength and Endurance as preferred attributes.
  • Steal the Bands of Kwang Lao from the two Arena combatants practicing outside the Arena. This will fortify your Hand to Hand skill by 20 points, which helps a lot. The first thing you must do is join the Arena in the Imperial City. Live in the Imperial City; spend most of your time there.

When you're not in combat in the Arena, wear a pair of pants that are either your training pants, (some simple cloth pants most lower-class characters wear) or some enchanted light armor greaves with Fortify Fatigue or Hand to Hand. When in the Arena, wear the Light Raiment. As expected, box your opponents to death. You can use a Disintegrate Weapon spell to force the Arena combatants to fight you in a legitimate boxing match.

Never wear shoes. Or a shirt, most of the time. You can often wear some wristbands however. Make many Restore Fatigue potions called Energy Drink. When you are punching someone and you are running out of Fatigue, drink them.

Focus on building up your Hand-to-Hand as your sole all-effective combat skill. Whenever you run into bandits or animals on the road, beat them to death. Frequently head out into the woods or inside Ayleid Ruins as training. Beat everything to death in Hackdirt, conjurers in ruins, or necromancers in caves. With the Fighters Stronghold download, you can train with your Orc friend as he never dies and regenerates health.

  • PC NoteIf you have the PC version, beat up essential NPCS, knock them unconscious, rinse, repeat, then delete the bounty and hostility with the console. This also works if you have the Staff of the Everscamp, which grants you unlimited scamps to beat up. Another good training technique is at Peryite's Shrine (check page to see and prevent bug) because you don't get a bounty for hitting them and they never die.

[edit] Champion

Become a famous champion. Become the Champion of the Arena (not Grand Champion) or become the Champion of the Fighters Guild.

Buy Rosethorn Hall or even liberate Battlehorn Castle. Use Men At Arms as bodyguards, fellow mercenaries, Fighters Guild members, or even apprentices.

If you're an Arena Champion, slowly take on contracts from the Fighters Guild (Remember to take Men at arms for those big contracts). If you have to go to Anvil or Cheydinhal for contracts, don't fast travel, pretend Modryn asks you to go all the way to Anvil for an important contract. If you are a Fighters Guild Champion, every now then travel to the Imperial City and do 1-3 Arena matches each day you are there. Check on the Fighters Guild every now and then.

Don't do any other quests except for Rosethorn Hall, or Battlethorn Castle quests and Arena or Fighters Guild quest lines. Therefore you can help people out every now and then in each city. While traveling to other cities or just wandering around the wild, help out people in inns, settlements and farms.

Only do one quest at a time for authenticity or pretend to get stuck on a quest like a murder mystery. For example, you are doing the Brotherhood Betrayed quest and you can't find any evidence in Olav's Tap and Tack. While staying at the inn another time you accidentally drop something behind the dresser, then you find the diary.

[edit] Conqueror

You are a conqueror! Your mission is to destroy the established empire and appoint yourself ruler of Tamriel! Try to have a powerful character and have all of the plug-ins so you can have more followers and bases to keep your army in. Get every follower you can that won't attack you for attacking other NPCs and guards. Try and get your army a uniform by reverse-pickpocketing permanent bound armor onto your followers.

After you've gathered your army, bring them to Battlehorn Castle. This is one of the most defensible places in Cyrodiil, and it has your own private army in it. Try to start your attack by destroying minor settlements. If you want to, leave a signature item at every site of your attack, like a daedric arrow.

Cause as much destruction as possible by casting area of effect fire spells in peoples' houses. Assassinate killable leaders of cities, like the Count of Bravil, or the Countesses of Anvil and Leyawiin. Once you are ready to begin an invasion of a big city, start with Chorrol because you can easily retreat to Battlehorn if the attack is going badly. Work your way through the city streets and then invade the castle.

When you attack Anvil, use the secret passageway in Dunbarrow Cove to sneak into the castle, kill the count and countess while they sleep, and destroy the rest of the castle. Shoot fireballs at the docks from the castle bridge. Launch Spells and Arrows while perched on top of the Lighthouse, after killing the owner.

Once you've taken all of the minor cities, it's time to attack the Imperial City. Invade during the day when there are the most citizens out in the streets. It helps to have the Staff of Worms with you so you can reanimate all of the dead citizens to create your own undead army. Work your way around the city in a wheel motion, and once you've taken every district, move toward the heart of the Empire, burn White-Gold tower, and capture Ocato using a Command Humanoid spell. Bring him to Battlehorn, and burden him with items to keep him in place. Then your conquest of Cyrodiil is complete! Indulge yourself and live out your days as Emperor.

[edit] Crusader

A Crusader would be a typical knight, although much more dedicated to good than a knight. They never attack any innocent people, they never steal, they never kill unless it's absolutely necessary, and they dedicate their life to helping all of the citizens of the Empire. Obviously, it's best to wear the Crusader's relics as your outfit, but any shiny knight armor will do. Though it especially good if you have the Crusader's relics equipped, as they have enchantments and spells for helping those less fortunate than yourself, but as before, you don't need them. You can just make custom spells/enchantments if necessary.

Crusaders typically do not use magic for combat, although they do use restoration to heal themselves and their allies. They should use either a sword or blunt weapon for combat, as they are willing to fight their enemies face to face, so that others don't have to. They should wear Heavy Armor, and have a high Block skill, unless you prefer to fight with a two-handed weapon. They don't need to be very sneaky, but it does help if they have good Acrobatics and Athletics stats. You should be also have a high Speechcraft skill, because a Crusader should be loved by all he saves from peril.

All this makes it the Knight class or Crusader class the best choice, although obviously a Custom Class would work better. Any race will do, but an Imperial would be the easiest for the people to relate to. It's best to pick one which is human and more combat focused. Dunmer can do well.

Once you've made your character and equipped him/her and leveled him/her and all, go about town giving money to the poor and healing them, as if they were low on health. Put food in the beggars food bags next to their beds, and go to the chapel and pray for hours at a time (you can wait in order to do this) If you want people to have a reason to praise you as a hero, command a creature to follow yourself into the city then kill it, or use the console if you're on the PC. You can also wave around your spoils of battle, such as a daedric helmet (marauder's head) or a minotaur horn. Make sure you have a high personality, or else they will all hate you, and then it won't be realistic. Make pilgrimages to one of each of the Nine Divines regularly, and bring the equipment and supplies of necromancers, marauders and bandits and sell them for a low price to various merchants. Not too low though, because you still need it to give money to the poor and to buy food and clothes for them.

Have fun being a goody two-shoes Crusader!

[edit] Dark Knight

Dark Knights are more powerful than assassins but less sneaky. They listen to the dark secrets... Dark, terrible secrets. Too terrible for any mortal ears. They perform acts the one would find disgraceful, and are not ashamed of them.

There are no restrictions on the Race or Birthsign options but for the class, create one that specializes in Combat, with Strength and Intelligence as Favorite Attributes, for major skills choose Athletics, Alteration, Blade or Blunt, Block,Conjuration, Destruction and Heavy armor. You could also use Light Armor.

You should wear armor most of the time, but when not, use dark, black clothing such as Black Hand Robe. If you're on the PC there are great armor mods for this type of Roleplay. the Armor of the Fallen mod is one of the best, you should wear it, along with a Black Hood or Black Hand Hood. Enchant your armor, hood and robes/clothing with powerful effects, gained from the Sigil Stones of the Daedra, after all, you are an almight Daedric Warrior. Blackwood Company armor is a good choice for looking evil.

Live at Battlehorn Castle and Reverse-Pickpocket a full set of enchanted Bound armor and an enchanted Bound Claymore, onto all of your Men-At-Arms, so they all look evil.

Find shrines to Daedra Lords. Pretend they are speaking to you. Kill any travelers and citizens that would pose a threat to you when you come across them. If you are caught and jailed, sit in a chair and don't talk. If asked why you did what you did, only reply, "The voices in the Void". If you break out, kill the jailor. Don't Sneak. You are all-powerful are you not? You shouldn't need to sneak.

Only go to the shrines at night. Do what they say. Buy a Black Horse, or even better, get Shadowmere; This is a very important part!

If you're going to be a Dark Knight then you're going to need a mighty Dark sword e.g. Shadowrend from the Shivering Isles or just Umbra.Sufferthorn Dagger or Blade of Woe is good too, they look evil.

[edit] Devil Hunter

You have a mission in life: Destroy the gates to Oblivion, and protect the innocent from the evils of the daedra. Don't forget, some daedra have consciences, while some people don't, and they should be carefully noted as such.

As far as melee weapons go, try for a silver weapon and enchanting it with a weak-moderate enchantment and naming it. But as the game progresses, your weapon may become inadequate, so if your against a particularly strong dremora or such, take his weapon as a memento and use it to fight fire with fire. For apparel, just go for what tickles your fancy.

You should spend around four days a week finding daedra caves/dungeons and clearing them of all daedric life (You'd want a few days off if you were slaying daedra all week too!). Meals are usually few and at odd hours since you are in almost constant danger, you should probably make a daedra death quota, and sleeping should only be a possible option AFTER you reach that certain death quota.

For stats, Devil Hunters tend to be smooth-talkers and proficient in all forms of combat (Not using archery or magic, of course.). They despise the daedra and as such don't summon them and believe that the dearly departed shall rest in peace. So you'd best enforce your ideals and kill any daedra worshippers, conjurers, necromancers, undead, daedra, and not to mention the anomalies that transcend life and death known as liches. Don't show your weapons in public, the common folk shouldn't think that there's any trouble in their vicinity or they may panic.

[edit] Judge of Life

Before anything, acquire the Umbra sword and the sword of the Crusader. You are the wielder of the swords of life and death, of cruelty and mercy, of slavery and freedom, of despair and hope. You wander Cyrodiil as a judger of souls, deciding the fate of those you kill, depending on which sword you use. If you don't have the Knights of the Nine expansion, or aren't strong enough to defeat Umbra, you can always enchant a silver sword and call it Sword of Life and get an iron or Daedric blade and call it Sword of Death.

  • Umbra - enemy's soul is forever imprisoned inside the evil blade.
  • Crusader - soul is liberated from physical bondage and begins life on the other side.

You as the player decide which characters/monsters deserve which blade. Do necromancers deserve liberation? Does a starving highwayman deserve eternal torment? Does a brown bear attack out of malice or defense because you are on its territory? These things you must decide. The judge of life is no normal man, he was chosen by the collective wisdom and vision of the ancestor moth monks to be the one worthy to wield the power of eternal life and eternal death. You wander the land separating the wretched from the noble.

  • This can work well with other roleplays that have neutral alignment, such as a mercenary.

[edit] Knight of the Nine

Hail Holy Crusaders of the Nine do you wish to serve Akatosh? Receive the blessings of Talos and have Mara smile upon you?

A crusader of the Nine at the Nines Priory

Always wear the Crusader Armor in battle. For normal clothing wear monks robes possibly enchanted with blessings of the Nine. Make a holy Pilgrimage to all of the wayshrines and receive blessings from all of the gods. Pray at chapels every morning and night to be sure you are truly on good terms with your holy fathers. Live in the Priory of the Nine use the console to make your Knights Essential so the Knights of Nine live eternally!

  • PC NoteIf you are good at modding or can find a good house mod you can live outside of the priory with all of the shrines and other relics of the Nine.

Gather your Holy followers and preform Heroic Deeds with them! Close the unholy vile gates of Oblivion! Become the champion of Cyrodiil and stop Mehrunes Dagon's conquest to destroy all of the Holy Land! You get gifted Battlehorn castle for your actions so you divide your time between the castle and the priory. Preach in your armour to show that the Nine don't always pick old men with receding hair to teach their ways.

[edit] Knight of the Thorn

During the Main Quest of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion you have the honor to join the ranks of the Knights of the Thorn, which is good for a Roleplaying idea.

First your character, the best races are the human races (Breton included), since they look the best for knights; But the founder of the Knights of the Thorn is a Dunmer; So any race could be acceptable. Helpful Birthsigns are: The Warrior, The Lady, The Ritual and The Atronach. Create a class named either "Knight of the Thorn" or simply "Knight"; Give it the Specialization of Combat with favorite attributes of Strength and either Endurance, Intelligence or Personality; Use for Major Skills Acrobatics, Athletics, Blade, Blunt, Heavy Armor, Block and Restoration ( you can also use Illusion instead of Acrobatics ). Imagine that you are the Knights of the Thorn official Battlemage, Archer, Boxer etc. Make your character better for those titles.

For your equipment you must always use the Thornblade or the Staff of Indarys, and the Knights of the Thorn Medallion. If you have the Shivering Isles the do the quest To Help A Hero and obtain the Thorn Shield. Just like the other Knights you must use a full Steel Armor suit, but with no helmet. Get a few Transcendent Sigil Stones ( or the best you can ) and enchant your full Steel Armor, along with the Thorn Shield for powerful effects; Fire, Frost or Shock Shield, Spell Absorption (especially if you have the Atronach birthsign), Resistances ( Fire, Frost, Shock, Disease, Poison and Magic ), etc. Use other helpful items such as Mundane Ring, Ring of Vitality, Sorcerer's Ring, etc.

Patrol Cheydinhal and of course buy a house there, either live there or at the Knights of the Thorn Lodge, or both. Don't just patrol the city also patrol the outside of it, the Forts, Ruins, Mines and Caves around the city. Imagine if a Goblin menace was coming! Get the news to the Knights and after they're all ready (after a bottle of wine of course) go into the place and kill all of them, do this occasionally. Do the same with Marauders, Necromancers etc...

The Guard thinks you're just a "Glorified Club"; save the world from the Oblivion Crisis just to prove them wrong! You could also be be the Fighters Guild Master, the Arch-Mage, the Champion of Cyrodiil, a Blade, the Divine Crusader of Legend, join all good Knights factions, don't associate with anything evil, do all side quests possible etc. Decorate the Lodge with enchanted equipment and everything of the best, food, more wine, plates, tables, baskets and bring honor to the Knights of the Thorn!

[edit] Knight of the White Stallion

First of all, complete the quest which makes you become a Knight of the White Stallion. Stay in the White Stallion Lodge and train at least once a day to better yourself for the long campaign ahead of you. Your Target is the Black Bow Bandits; they are filth in your eyes, and they must all be destroyed.

You may also be noble, so when you are in town wear high end clothes (e.g. Blue Suede Outfit, Black and Gold Outfit, etc.). Never move from Leyawiin, unless you need to go to the Imperial City to buy Food, Weapons, and Armour.

Remember to take the Black Bows the bandits drop and hand them into the count; you get 100 gold for every bow you hand into him, which can be a good way to make a living. Once you get enough money, buy the house in Leyawiin and stay there when in town. Meet up with the Count for dinner once a week and discuss political matters with him. Eat good food such as meat, fruit, and wines.

If you have the time, assist with the countess's travels around Cyrodiil. Help people in Leyawiin with minor quests, but nothing evil. Also be a part of the City Watch and meet with the Captain to discuss crime in Leyawiin. Deal with the Skooma dealers outside of town in Greyland.

[edit] Mercenary

Become a mercenary. Get the Rosethorn Hall or Battlehorn Castle. Use it as your base of operations. Or if you want a little group, you might finish Knights of the White Stallion and use White Stallion Lodge as your base. Keep a selection of all the types of weapons and armor in your headquarters.

Get a large number of Followers to be your soldiers. Take on the bandits, marauders and even the Drothmeri army. It is possible to get around 11 essential followers. Be sure to upgrade your army's arsenal, drop weapons in front of them and attack and yield so they pick it up. Go and buy food every day so your army stays fit.

Take on contracts. Do the main quest with your new army and rise in the Fighters Guild. If you are using White Stallion Lodge, don’t forget to kill Black Bow Bandits with your army and sell them to count. You could also join the Blackwood Company and run the Fighters Guild out of business, or even destroy them!

Start off using only the rusty iron/rough leather armour you get from the main quest. Remember that you're a trainee merc and that you dont have any money. As you rise in the fighter's guild, buy yourself better weapons and armour. When you finally reach master, equip yourself with the very best weapons you can, whether it be ebony, daedric or even the Imperial Dragon Armour from the main quest.

Alternatively, once you reach a certain level, take Battlehorn Castle and turn it into a mercenary school. Gather all your followers and place them in the main courtyard, or down in the training room, and stick either a Man-at-Arms or the Castellan to oversee their 'training'

You could be good mercenary, who lives by a set of moral rules, or a greedy soldier of fortune, who would accept any contract and do anything for money.

[edit] Rebel/Revolutionary

Fight the Imperial Legion! Fight Chancellor Ocato's rule! Equip yourself with your best armor and best weapon(s). Build up the disposition of as many people as possible, and get as many followers as you can!

Go on a rampage through towns and wear guard armor! Use all means to defeat Town Guards and watch. Sneak up on Guards at gates and knife them. Then run back into the forest. Attract Bandits, Goblins, Vampires, Crusaders, and more to your army. Place Goblin armies in Imperial City and watch the chaos while simultaneously raiding smaller cities and settlements. Gather a follower from each Guild or group (e.g. Sir Thedret from the Knights of the Nine, Mage Apprentice from the Mages Guild and Dark Brotherhood Murderer Archer from the Dark Brotherhood), equip them, invent a fancy abbreviated name for your rebellion.

Find a small settlement sympathetic to your cause and sleep in the Inn there. Bring your followers to a settlement, placing them in various places. Make sure to put the best fighters in your 'Army' on the edges of town to guard against any Imperial attacks!

You can start out as a small time rebel, but continuously get better armor and weapons to fight the legion. Never pay your bounty. If you are captured, try to escape your cell. You could hunt down and assassinate lords and ladies; even ambush Countess Alessia on her trip from Chorrol to Leyawiin!

Hunt down traitors! Start faction wars. Who the heck is that Gray Fox guy? After all, he's a count... now isn't that more than enough reason to destroy those thieves guild freaks once and for all? All they do is to prolong the suffering of the people by breaking their revolutionary spirit (because they help the poor, but don't agitate politically) and give rebels a bad name.

The other imperial guilds could be useful, maybe disguise a commando as a Mages Guild member and assault the Fighters Guild and hope to get them at each other’s throats that way.

Stockpile weapons and armor for your growing army. (It helps to have a safe chest to store it in. One of the various 'portable campsite' mods works well, as they usually come with a safe container.) When you think you have the support and influence you need, begin raiding the Imperial patrols and larger towns. If you suffer terrible casualties in your assault(s), you can combat the Imperial menace subtly. Poison the food in the watch towers.

Make your way into a good area to start the battle (e.g. Arboretum in the Imperial City). Attack a guard and resist arrest. Fight your way through all the guards until you reach the Count/Countess. Take a few prisoners! Use a Command Humanoid spell to lead your prisoner to some obscure location (Such as Dive Rock) and place burdening items on them until they cannot move! Leave them to rot in their "jail".

  • PC NoteIf you are playing the PC version you can make the counts/countesses unessential.

Kill the Count/Countess (Unconscious) and move your way to the next city. The Count of Bravil is not essential, nor are the Count and Countess of Anvil after The Ultimate Heist is completed. They can be killed without mods.

After you have killed or imprisoned all of the counts and countesses go for the big one... Kill Chancellor Ocato! Once you kill Chancellor Ocato take control of Cyrodiil with your new government. Kill every guard in the Imperial City and always wear the Gray Cowl as your "crown". Lock prisoners in the basement of the Imperial Palace by using Command Humanoid spells and the Console. Release everyone in the Imperial Prison, and if the guards object, kill them!

Have a base in each city, such as Dunbarrow Cove in Anvil or the Skooma Den in Bravil. The list is endless!

Once you have declared yourself Emperor or Empress, decide how you are going to rule your subjects! Are you a benevolent leader? A bloodthirsty warlord? An evil tyrant? Take a look at the Ruler roleplay for some ideas!

[edit] Renrijra Krin Member

This has 3 sections. Soldier, Leader, and Higher Ranked person. Well, if you want to be a Renrijra Krin member read this book. Don't consider. Read this book. I mean it.

[edit] Soldier

Character type.

Be a Khajiit!! Seriously, what other race would you be?? Skills to have: Acrobatics. You could jump over their heads! Athletics. Outrun them! Light Armor. Not too heavy on the loads, you want to be speedy and efficient. Blade. Preferred over Blunt because daggers are lighter than maces. Block. Block with your blade; shields will weigh you down. Armorer. You'd need this skill to repair the little armor you have. Optional:Illusion, Alteration, Mysticism, Blunt, Speechcraft.

Story

You are helping with the fight for Elsweyr. Remember the foolish concepts, and keep that grin on your face. You are the teeth of the Mercenary's Grin, do what your 'Dispatcher' tells you, and carry out your missions quickly and lethally.

Equipment

You're going to want to have some clothing, and preferably a little light armor. I recommend some stylish boots and some tough gauntlets. Other trashy clothes. No hood, unless you're a special elite soldier, wearing a leather helmet. Swords? Of course. A shortword if you are stronger and a dagger if you are quicker. Potions? You don't need em' they just weigh you down.

Ideas

  • You need to decide whether to be a sneakier kind, or a stronger kind. STEALTH or STEEL. A sneaky kind would walk into Leyawiin, pick up on the gossip, break into the barracks and steal swords and armor... A stronger type would walk into town, get a couple of good hits on the villagers, resist arrest and slip out of town. You have to be fast nonetheless.
  • Break into houses! Leyawiin without food? That's advantageous.
  • Kill a respected towns member! Sneakily, or make a big show of it.
  • Make sure you get a job from your dispatcher, and make sure you can do that job according to your skills...
  • Examples for missions:
    • Assassination. Perhaps you remove a noble who has gotten a little too powerful...
    • Theivery. How will the townspeople feel about the Count when they have no food?
    • Massacre. Perhaps at the end of the Renrijra campaign... Nothing else worked... Kill them all.
    • Bribery. If you're not yet a criminal, pay the Countess a visit, give her money in bribes, warm her up to the idea of Mercenary's Grin. But not the count. Everybody knows he has zero power.
    • Ambush. The Countess visits her mommy regularly. Hide near the road, and take out the convoy! You must be a strong Khajiit though.
    • Diplomacy. Bring a Black Horse Courier to the Countess, pretend it's a peace treaty. Ask her to sign it, maybe she will, maybe she won't. If she does, and you are now allied, backstab them.
    • GIVE, GIVE, GIVE! Your dispatcher may assign you to a mission like this. Give the citizenry items that the dispatcher gives you. (Duplication Glitch) and spread them around with reverse pickpocketing, breaking into homes and putting them in containers, or dropping them around town.

Okay, more ideas.

  • Make sure you have a location you can find your dispatcher, and decide who they are. A Khajiit living in Bravil or Leyawiin works best, unless you want to get complicated... Make a fellow Khajiit follow you with Command Humanoid, and reverse pickpocket cursed items that burden your new dispatcher so he stays in place. They will now be locked in place in whatever location you choose.
  • I recommend using the Five Claws Lodge as your hang out, and the bartender could be your dispatcher.
  • Make sure to be nice to the citizenry, since this IS a political war. Don't start killing unless the Krin gets desperate.

[edit] Leader

Character Type Of course, you'd want to be a Khajiit... Imagine an Imperial waving the flags and saying they are an Elseweyr freedom fighter. Skills:Athletics? Get to your meetings on time. Acrobatics? You might need it to get around faster, or something. Blade? You're going to need a little fighting experience no matter what. Speechcraft? A leader needs this. Mercantile? Buy and sell for Renrijra funding. Light Armor? Optional. You might want to look like a militant leader. Heavy Armor? Ha! That was a joke. Sneak? Always good to have. Illusion? Why not? Charming is always good. Mysticism? Okay, I'm running out of ideas.

Story You are the LEADER!! The advocate of the Mercenary's grin. The tongue. You call the shots, you decide the action, YOU DECIDE IT ALL!

Equipment Good clothes, boots and guantlets if you want to look militant, a sword if you want to be a soldier as well. No heavy armor. Keep it fast, keep it light, always.

Ideas You need to decide some things.

  • Will the Renrijra be political? Sneaky? Pure evil? That's your decision.
  • Will you be a soldier along with the kittens? Are you too dignified? Are you too afraid? Will it send the wrong message? Will it send the right message?
  • Will you attempt to reason AT ALL with the Countess and the Empire?
  • Will you show your face often, and give to the people, becoming loved? Or will you live in the shadows, take from the people, rule by fear?
  • Contact the dispatcher and tell them what to tell the grunts. You could then change identities, becoming a grunt, to do what the leader wants. It'd take some imagination, but it'd be fun.

[edit] Higher Ranked Person

Character Type We got past the Khajiit thing, did we not? Skills:Speechcraft? Yup. You gotta have a silver tongue. Athletics? Run faster... Blade? You probably started with this one. Acrobatics? Why not? You are a Khajiit, after all. After that, you can have basically whatever skills you want. Keep it lightweight.

Story You've lived long enough or were just lucky enough to become a Higher Ranked Member. You used to be a soldier, and here the story diverts based on what path you took.

  • STEALTH:You made it by stabbing some in the back, and never getting caught. What suckers the Imperials are. You've become a dispatcher. Congratulations! You can now order the kittens around!
  • STEEL:You made it by opening big fat cans of butt kicking! And, never getting killed. What suckers the Imperials are. You've become an Elite Soldier. Those Imperial idiots will fear your blade and your hood.

Equipment

  • STEALTH:A hood, preferably. Shrouded armor works well, too. Carry a dagger and a nice bow. Potions to improve speechcraft and mercantile work well, too.
  • STEEL:A hood is a must. It's what seperates you from the kittens. A good shortsword or a bad longsword do just fine. Add another light armor piece to your ensemble.

Ideas STEALTH:

  • You get to be in the meetings. Find the leader of the Renrijra Krin and meet up with him. He will tell you what to do.
  • Since you can use stealth well, you'll probably be assigned to specialist missions within your group.
  • Tell the kittens what to do. Send them to their deaths, with a smile.
  • Advance in rank. One day you will be leader.

STEEL:

  • You get to have the fun jobs now. You use little stealth as a Very High Ranked dispatcher assigns you missions.
  • Many of your missions will involve killing someone, then battling the guards while you walk out of town.
  • It'll be fun! You could jump off of rooftops and stuff!
  • You don't get paid. Don't even think about it. To get money simply loot when nobody's looking. You do have to feed yourself, after all.
  • You can advance in rank so the leader of the Krin dispatches you personally. Congratulations! You're now his special servant!
  • Advance in rank. One day you will be leader.

[edit] Samurai

Become a noble warrior in a Far Eastern alternative to the knight! Good races for this are: Redguard, High Elf and Dark Elf. Make a samurai class with the following attributes and skills: Strength, Agility, Armorer, Blade, Block, Hand to Hand, Heavy Armor, Marksman and Speechcraft. Birsthsigns: The Warrior or The Lord.

All samurai were rich nobles, so wear expensive clothes and armor. Whilst traveling wear a shirt, pants, robe and sandals, and in your home, no footwear. Use Akaviri weaponry and armor: these are the closest things to samurai items. Eat and Drink sparsely! You do not want to use all your provisions.

Whilst travelling, wear a simple robe and eradicate bandits! Or be evil and attack anyone who is not of noble blood. Destroy these peasant fools and the guardsmen! Also be God fearing. Go to the Chapel everyday and pray. If you are good and have shamed your honor, repent and do a good deed.

Most samurai had a daimyo or a lord so choose a count or countess of Cyrodiil and serve them. Or, if you wish, become a Ronin (a samurai with no master) and travel the land doing quests no one else would dream of doing.

[edit] Soul Warrior

Want to be a Warrior who tampers with souls to benefit themselves? Master mysticism, destruction, and restoration. Collect large amounts of soul gems, and maybe even Azura's Star. A good weapon would be umbra because it traps souls inside your soul gems/azura's star.

Trap the souls of the weak and use them for your personal glory, recharging or enchanting. You could also keep a collection of souls or make money off of them. Buy a house as well to store your extra souls, preferably Benirus Manor in Anvil.

Also, you could help the mages guild collect soul gems. Use the Arch-Mage's room as a base.

[edit] Vampire Hunter

A Vampire Hunter

Ensure you have the blade skill (what use is a mace for stabbing them in the heart?). Alchemy is also a must. Get the Imperial City house with money from hunting and put a bowl full of garlic, a silver dagger, some cure or resist disease potions and the book Immortal Blood near the bed or somewhere close. Just in case a vampire thinks of revenge. Enchant a weapon to inflict fire damage, and name it "Vampire Bane," "Silver Stake," or something similar. Vampires have a weakness to fire damage, and this will help you kill them faster. Use Silver or Enchanted weapons when fighting vampires, 'normal' weapons won't have any effect.

Search forts, ruins and caves for tracks of Vampires. List up all the vampirized locations, 'Parchments' makes good lists. Spend time training your Destruction skill so you can burn the foul creatures to death. Carry garlic, it may be a myth - but you rather want to be on the safe side. Carry lots of disease curing food and potions to cure yourself from vampire bites.

Join the Order of the Virtuous Blood, and bring your spoils (Vampire Dust) in for payment. At 250 gold a pop, Vampire hunting can actually be a semi-profitable roleplaying style

Some Vampire Hunters are Vampires themselves! Maybe you resent the Hostile vampires for giving your kind a bad reputation. Or maybe you were captured by vampires who turned you into one. Maybe you are so desperate to rid the world of Vampires that you became one yourself, just so you can get closer to your targets. Take your allies to deepscorn hollow and cast out the vampiric assistant. Then you have access to the pool and you can cure your friends if they get aflicted.

[edit] Veteran

Ever wanted to be an Imperial Legion veteran? Just follow these guidelines and you'll be living that life.

Get some Imperial Legion armor and display it in a nice house. If the guards are in a fight, help them. If you sure someone is thief or assassin, cast a frenzy spell on them, then kill. Get a bodyguard. Have a few Mages Guild members following you.

  • PC NoteIn PC, you can change their names via console like "My Bodyguard”, and give them guards' armor.

Never break the law and make a few "quests" to accidentally bust crime. Find some caves or mines with bandits and clear them with your bodyguards. Patrol roads between cities to kill bandits and creatures.

Make trophies of accomplishments, such as the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal to show you caught the Gray Fox. Or Kylius' ring if you bring Kylius Lonavo to justice.

[edit] Viking

Become a feared warrior from the North, prepared to take on the most terrifying foes! Nords make the best Vikings lore-wise, though Imperials or Redguards can be used as well. Use the Warrior birthsign, with Light Armor, Blade/Blunt, Marksman, and Athletics as your major skills. The rest are up to you, so long as they fit.

First of all, you'll need to dress the part. When fighting, wear a combination of Chainmail, Fur, and Iron armors. A good combination is a Chainmail cuirass, Iron boots, and Fur greaves and gauntlets. Use a Light Iron shield and Steel shortsword, or if you're the heavy type, a Steel Battleaxe or Claymore. The Frostwyrm Bow is a great possibility for long-ranged combat.

When you're relaxing, wear Fur armor or otherwise cold-protective clothing. Remember, it's cold up there. Eat regularly, especially the meat and alcohol. Buy the house in Bruma, since it's closest to your homeland, and if you have the PC version, get yourself a wife.

Remember, you do things for the good of yourself and your family. Anyone who gets in your way is an obstacle! Make regular 'visits' to small settlements, such as Border Watch, and live up to the Viking name. Take everything you can and sell it, or mount the weapons and shields of your enemies as trophies.

Make sure you finish the unmarked quest, as it ties in well with the Viking setting of the character.

[edit] Witchfinder or Witchhunter

Eridor makes a great Witchfinder.

A sort of Holy Bounty Hunter, you are bound by sacred oath to cleanse the Empire of all practitioners of malign sorcery; Hedge-Wizards, Conjurers, Necromancers, even the Mages Guild is not entirely beyond your scrutiny. You have further sworn the destruction of Daedra and Undead, including the elusive Vampire.

In order to maintain your stealth whilst seeking out your prey, it is advised that you protect yourself with Light Armor; fur, leather or chainmail. When full armor is not required, wear a combination of armor and plain clothing, perhaps wear only gauntlets, greaves and boots, like Eridor of Skingrad.

It is of vital importance that you carry a silver weapon; Witchfinders are more prone to using stealth to their advantage, so perhaps a silver bow would be beneficial. Witchhunters on the other hand are more aggressive in nature, so they may prefer a silver battle axe or warhammer. Carry torches and lockpicks, you will beyond a doubt need them to gain entry to various dungeons and lairs. You may consider keeping the wrist-irons from the Imperial Prison.

Unlike the Witches you hunt, the Gods have blessed you with powers in order to serve them. Utilize flame destruction spells to destroy your enemies; it is the closest they will get to being burned at the stake. Use restoration magic to heal your wounds, especially after encounters with Vampires. Pray regularly at the Chapels for the blessing of the Nine.

Find out where Vampires, Necromancers, and Undead spawn, and travel between them on righteous tours of duty; keep the caves and dark places of Tamriel clean. Before you enter the suspected haven of the unclean, canvas the area. In the Great Hunt, you are a thief and you are trying to steal the lives of the unclean. In your 'canvassing' look for routes of escape, take a head count of how many enemies there are, Prepare accordingly; if you know you are fighting Vampires, head to an Alchemist and make or buy some poisons of fire. Check your spells; make sure you can cast enough of your most needed spell to survive.

Follow quests that seem to lead to Necromancers, Undead, Vampires, Cultists, and other unclean troublemakers. The Mage's Guild quest is a great opportunity; the main quest is another opportunity, although Daedra are not necessarily vile, the people who summon them are.

Take trophies of slain enemies as a way of keeping headcount. Despite being a Witchfinder, you will likely end up combating many Bandits and Marauders in the search for your real quarry, thus muddying your journal kill count. Keeping samples of Vampire Dust, Bonemeal, Ectoplasm, Mythic Dawn Robes, and Necromancer Robes is a way of keeping track of how well you've done.

Witchfinders who are easy to anger may feel insulted when injured, and, rather than blocking or attempting to evade attacks, using their injury as an excuse to push harder, launching into power attack after power attack and chugging potions of sorcery to continue a chain of Fire spells that make the Vampires around them wilt and die. Or perhaps he's calm, collected -- always asking if it's worth it to use what he has, taking note of the mistakes of enemies. What is your character background; does he have family? What motivates him to hunt people and creatures that are violent and dangerous? Fame? Fortune? A connection to the Nine? Revenge? You don't need to determine every little action your character would feel inclined to. Just think of those three questions: Their duty - their personality -- and their history, and the things your character would and wouldn't do seem to fall into place.

[edit] Wraithslayer/Undead Hunter

Character Type Any race works well, and any specialization as well. Your goal is to kill undead, so make sure to have major skills that reflect that. A useful class would be to specialize in stealth, and get Blade, Block, Light Armor, Marksman, Restoration, Athletics, and perhaps Mercantile to sell your loot. This is just a suggestion, but it works well.

Equipment Spending long amounts of time in dark holes in the ground fighting creepy things that should be dead has its drawbacks and to avoid these drawbacks you must prepare.

    • Zombies
  • Zombies are probably the most annoying undead you'll meet. They making awkward noises, hardly put up a good fight, and carry a lot of diseases.
  • Zombies have a huge fire weakness. Plan accordingly by having a fire enchanted weapon, or a fire spell. Let it be known that they also have frost resistances. In fact, frost is the last enchantment/spell you want to have while fighting undead.
  • They have a 100% resistance to poison. You can't use poison on them, ever. Poison isn't something you'll want to waste money on while hunting undead.
  • Zombies have a 30% resist magic ability, but don't fret. Just use a fire spell and nothing will go in their favor.
  • All zombies have a high chance of carrying diseases, the chance gets even higher when you get to Headless Zombies, then once you start fighting Dread Zombies it's garaunteed that they have a disease.
    • Skeletons
  • Skeletons can actually be formidable foes. They're the closests to humans in form and combat style, and can easily be your downfall if you're not too careful.
  • While the common skeleton doesn't have a fire weakness, it does have a heavy frost resistance. Simply don't use frost around undead.
  • These guys are impervious to paralysis and poison. Both of these are not very useful to the typical Undead Hunter.
  • A subsection of skeletons, have a weakness to fire. This goes to show that a blade enchanted with fire is the best way to go when fighting undead.
  • Liches are immune to frost and poison. Don't try it on them. These ones also absorb magicka at 25%.
  • The last and a very pesky form of undead are the ethereal ones. Ghosts and Wraiths. These guys are by far the hardest to hit but they can be rather weak once you can hit them.
  • They have complete resistances to frost, poison, and normal weapons. You cannot hit a ghost unless you use magic, a silver, daedric, or dremora weapon, or an enchanted weapon.
  • Ghosts and Wraiths mainly use frost spells, and many of their spells are resistant to silence. A wise thing to do is have armor enchanted with resist frost and/or reflect damage for any undead you encounter.

Backstory You hate undead. It's up to you why you hate undead. Perhaps you're a follower of Meridia and worship her by killing undead things. Maybe a close relative of yours was killed by a zombie. Your rival could have become a lich and now you're killing every undead creature you see. No matter what, you're a loner that has an unrivaled hate for all things undead.

Ideas

    • Kill. Any. Undead. You hunt undead. Travel to places like Ayleid Ruins where you'll find undead in abundance. Prepare correctly and kill them all.
  • Make sure you do any quest that involves you killing undead, such as the Skingrad Recommendation quest where you must rescue Erthor.
    • You main source of income will be from the loot you find in Ayleid Ruins. Use this to eat, get a place to sleep, and to buy your repair hammers, lockpicks, repairs, soul gems, spells, recharges, weapons and armor, and basically anything you'll need.
  • Don't outdo yourself. Going through three Ayleid ruins a day isn't realistic at all. At most you could probably go through one a week, and spend the week resting, traveling, and preparing.
    • You hate necromancers because of their association with the undead. Make sure to kill any you see, and perhaps even go out of your way to end them, such as joining the mages guild and doing a few anti-necromancer quests in it. If you completely want to obliterate the Necromancers, a good weapon to kill them with would be the Umbra, as it would forever trap their evil soul inside the blade, making it impossible for them to continue tampering with other spirits. Or if you just want to kill them then you could draw them out to a public area, and excute them with a battle axe or warhammer.
  • You also hate conjuration, obviously. If you want to be really extreme, then kill anyone you see that practices conjuration. Since the Chorrol mages guild specializes in Conjuration, be especially rude to them and maybe even go as far as to hurt them.
    • If you have a house, then buy the storage area. Now, when you go undead hunting, take the Bonemeal, Mort Flesh, and Ectoplasm from the carcasses of your enemies and put them in your chest to keep track of how many you've killed.
  • Spread the word! Tell people about your hate for undead and help them to realize how evil they are. You may rub them the wrong way but they will come to thank you one day.
    • Don't use your local map. Instead, memorize the halls, corridors and become more immersed in the tomb. Go into chapel undercrofts. Once the place has been cleansed leave an offering to the spirits you've just released, (a flower, red wine etc.)
  • When all is said and done, you're an independent warrior bent on the destruction of all undead. The populace may not understand you now, but later, after you have passed, Cyrodiil will come to realize what great things you have done.
  • (For a good sided Undead Hunter who doesn't hate undead) Ghosts and spirits are meant to move onto the spiritual plane once dead, the ones who linger suffer greatly and wish only to be at peace. Releasing ghosts are run of the mill, but when you come across a wraith make the battle more epic and meaningful... because wraiths have long been trapped in torment between worlds. Zombies are merely the victims of an evil sorceror who trapped them in their own body long after they died. Skeletons are the product of otherwordly magic as well. Only liches are truly evil, and deserve to be sent to Oblivion, where they belong. Conjurers summon and enslave the undead as well as necromancers. Make sure to kill them mercifully. They'll thank you in the afterlife.
  • (For a Undead Hunter who hates undead) Kill them all and everything associated with them. Ghosts and wraiths disturb and kill the populace, not to mention you. Zombies are disturbing, annoying, and must be destroyed at all costs. Skeletons are unnatural and pure evil. Liches are the worst of all, humans that made themselves undead. Make sure to kill these ones fast and hard. Conjurers summon undead, and therefore must be destroyed as well. Necromancers encourage using the undead even more. No matter what, be sure to kill them all mercilessly.

[edit] Cavalier

Have you ever envisioned yourself riding into battle and striking fear into your enemy's heart? Well perhaps the Cavalier lifestyle is the life for you!

Buy a horse, as that is what makes you a mounted knight. Normally, Oblivion doesn't allow horseback combat so to simulate this, ride into battle and jump off your horse right next to your enemy. The Deadly Reflex mod adds horseback combat. Your race should be Imperial or Redguard since they are most knightly looking but this is your character so any race will suffice. Become a Blade, Knight of the White Stallion, or a Knight of the Thorn and ride for your faction! Ride alongside Countess Caro on her travels. When you aren't out fighting, remain at your Lord's side and guard him/her with your life. Perhaps a neighboring province has invaded the city and you must ride away to petition the crown for aid! Mount your horse and walk (don't run) on the roads and protect the innocents of the county. Visit other Nobles as a messenger for your master. Perhaps for personal gain you betray your lord and become the new Count/Countess. Continue your devoted service and be honored by your master as his/her trusted Paladin, remain by your master's side and act as an advisor/bodyguard. If you horse dies, wait awhile before you purchase a new one. Or maybe the loss hurt you so deeply you retire from your life as a Cavalier. The Horse Armor plug-in is also recommended for this roleplay.
