A priest in the Temple of one

Religious Enthusiasts are people who are guided in life by their religious beliefs. Some peaceful, and some spreading their religion with a sword, they all believe they serve a purpose for a greater being.

[edit] Overview

  • Specialization(s): Magic or Stealth
  • Equipment:
    • Since Religious Enthusiasts usually aren't rich, don't spoil yourself in garments. Wear simple clothing like a Monks Robe and a Mages Hood.
    • As for footwear, sandals or no shoes at all is fine.

[edit] Possible Activities

  • If the object of your worship would approve, donate to beggars; if not, slaughter them.
  • Your life is devoted to your religion. You do not work for money. (unless you worship zenithar, as he loves a devoted and hard worker)
  • Place fresh flowers on an altar or shrine each day to show respect to the gods, or if you worship Daedra place Bloodgrass.
  • You may want to take a vow of silence. Do not talk to anybody to show your determination to follow the gods.
  • You may want to create a spell called 'Pray', or something similar, and cast it as you kneel (sneak) at an altar.
    • If you do eat, cast your 'Pray' spell before eating.
  • Ride upon a cheap horse or travel on foot.
  • Convert others to your religion and spread the good news. You can roleplay this by distributing literature and materials appropriate to your religion in common meeting places (inns and such) throughout Cyrodiil, or, if someone likes you enough, their home. For example, an enthusiast of the Nine Divines might distribute copies of their books, such as the Ten Commands: Nine Divines. A Mythic Dawn Cultist, conversely, might distribute The Book of Daedra and some Mythic Dawn Robes.

[edit] Variations

[edit] Daedra worshipper

Be a follower of the Daedra. Choose a Daedric deity and worship them. Bring daily offerings to an altar and convert others.

Common Daedric skills include conjuration and Destruction.

Decorate your house with Daedric books such as Book of Daedra, the 4 commentaries of Mankor Camoran, the Mysterium Xarxes and other Daedric items. You can quest for your Daedra prince and other Daedra to get Daedric artifacts to use or even decorate your house with. You could even branch out and put items outside your house to ward off the followers of the Nine.

Become even more of a Daedra fanatic and defile the shrines and churches at night. You can kill the priests and use the staff of worms to resurrect them and pretend that they are now Daedra Priests. You can then equip them with something new(Black robes, etc.)to fit their new job. You could also sprinkle lit torches, Daedra hearts, Clannfear claws, scamp skin, blood grass, Books of Daedra, and other Daedra things all over the chapel and Statues of the Nine. If you have the PC version, you could name the priests "Daedric Priest" or "Daedric Priestess" and then name the Chapel something more Daedric, for example, name the Chapel of Dibella something like Shrine of Azura or Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon.

No matter what Daedric deity you choose, there will most likely always be something you can do related to them. If you have already finished all quests related to Daedra, why not visit your deity or if not visitable, perhaps visit their statue or shrine (If you renamed one of the chapels after your deity) and make up a quest related to that deity, such as maybe if you worship Mehrunes Dagon (An easy way to make this realistic is to not steal the Mysterium Xarxes and stay in the Mythic Dawn) you can say that he wants you to eliminate the blades and turn their base into a Daedric Palace.

In combat wear Daedric armor, Mythic Dawn robes, or something similar.

[edit] Druid

Druids worship gods of nature and use it to their advantage. Make potions and increase your alchemy skill as much as possible. Wear the Cowl of the Druid and some white garments. You could also wear fur armor. Wear the Boots of the Crusader to become one with nature. if you want to have a weapon equipped, use a staff. Have one of your major skills be restoration and heal the weak with spells or potions

Wood Elves are forest beings and are great for this sort of roleplay.

As a protector of the natural order, you should refrain from using Conjuration. Daedra are meant to stay in Oblivion, and the dead are not meant to be disturbed from their eternal rest. Summoning such creatures as Daedra and Undead defy nature. If you have the Oblivion:Spell Tomes official plug-in, one of the books gives you the ability to summon a bear. Because you are summoning a creature of the natural world, this is an acceptable Conjuration spell. Also, if you have any mods that allow you to summon things such as bears, wolves, dryads, etc. feel free to you use those also.

[edit] Elemental God

Gods that have power over the elements.

Earth Deity

A deity with powers of tremors and stone. The main skills should include Alteration, Blunt, Heavy Armor and Illusion. Nords are ideal. Try giving yourself darker skin than most, or dark brown hair. Wear Ebony armor whenever possible. Make a custom class known as Earth Deity, that has Battlemage properties. Use a Warhammer. Make custom spells such as a Shield spell called "Stone hide", giving you 50% Shield for *X* duration on self, or a Paralysis spell called "Aftershock".

Use Burdening spells on your opponents, or for true roleplaying, on yourself, as if you were truly made of stone (however you will probably need a high strength). Perhaps clear a ruined fort of enemies and make a home out of it. Pretend that the fort started crumbling when you approached.

Avoid water whenever possible. If you can't, cast a water breathing spell and swim right to the bottom and stay there, as if you were a sinking stone. Lay out random loot or objects (not weapons, just things like plates and pitchers) on the ground and then walk through it, as if your footsteps had made it all fall down. Hit a door and open it at the same time, as if you were hammering through it. Wear the Ring Of Burden whenever possible to make it seem that you're as heavy as stone.

Fire Deity
A servant of the Fire Deity, a Flame Atronach.

This is a good idea for a Breton or a Dunmer (preferably a Dunmer: Fire Resistance 75%).

Note: Damage inflicted upon yourself bypasses resistances so being a Breton, Orc, or Dunmer will not protect you from fire damage on self. For fire damage on self without health damage make a spell with 3 points fire damage for 1 second on touch and 3 points fortify magicka on self for 120 seconds, or a spell with 3 points fire damage for 120 seconds on self and restore health 3 points for 120 seconds on self, naming it accordingly. when you cast it your character will be on fire for 120 seconds with no damage coming from the flames; Be careful though, as this will count as an assault if you touch someone with it.

Make your character either as black as you can (like your body is made of obsidian or some other volcanic rock) or an orange-yellow color (like you're MADE of fire), and make their hair look like it's fire (spiked hair if you can get it; either way, make it red, yellow, or orange). Dress in bright clothing, preferably red. Wear armor, clothing, or jewelry enchanted with Resist Magicka (ideal for Bretons, due to their natural 50% Magicka Resistance), Fire Shield (Dunmer's natural 75% Fire Resistance, plus a little more protection from weapons), or Resist Fire (Dunmer again). Wear armor with a Weakness to Frost enchantment. For an intimidating deity, Daedric armor is the way to go (it's black and red, not to mention all the spikes); for a more classy or noble look, go for Ebony (no red, but the Black with gold designs is pretty fancy), or Amber armor from Shivering Isles. It works wonders as it's naturally bright orange. Also wear the Flame of Agnon from the Shivering Isles

Make your own Restore Health/Fatigue Potions, with a name like "Magma of Life", and ONLY heal using these. Enchant ALL your weapons with Fire Damage and Weakness to Fire. Use Fire and Light spells.

Place the bones of those who defy you (or any you manage to find lying around) on your doorstep as a warning to others. Do not go in water! Eat Fire Salt and ingredients from the Planes of Oblivion.

Show the foolish mortals of Cyrodiil that invoking your wrath is a grave mistake! If someone makes you angry, unleash powerful Fire spells that have a HUGE range and a long duration on them, and on anyone who tries to stop you! Use a Flame Atronach as your bodyguard (if you have the wizards tower download, or you can just summon one- try making a custom, longer summon fire atronach spell).

If you want to actually catch on fire you can. Just enchant any armor you'll wear with fire damage on self. Now you are on fire! However, you will have to constantly heal yourself since you will be taking damage, or if you don't want to take damage, create a custom spell with fortify magicka 3 pts for 120 secs on self and fire damage 3 pts on touch. For some reason this makes you catch fire.

Ice Deity
A servant of the Ice Deity, a Frost Atronach.

A deity of ice has been uncovered! Obviously make yourself a Nord, for the frost resistance, but Bretons can work too. Create a very pale character with white-grey hair. Wear the white mages' robes and no shoes if you want. If you want to achieve full power as an Ice Deity, enchant your armor with frost resistance up to 100%! Wear an item with weakness to fire on self, or use 'The Lord' birthsign which has this weakness already. Only wear Mithril armor or white robes. The Priest of Order garments look as if made of ice so those are another choice as well. (PC users can use mods to obtain armor with a more suitable appearance, such as ice-like Deaedric Armor or blue-colored Glass)

Include in your main skills: Destruction, Blade, Light Armor, Conjuration and Acrobatics. Use extremely powerful frost damage spells. Only use swords, and they should all have Frost Damage - Chillrend is an ideal weapon. If you do want to use a staff, Hrormir's Icestaff is perfect.

Make a spell that does frost damage on target and fortifies magicka for 120 seconds; this will give your character an icy exterior for 120 seconds. It looks like you're taking frost damage but it doesn't affect your health at all.

Golden rule: the ONLY city you can go to is Bruma! All of the other cities are too warm for you, so never go into them. If you go to any other city, take off all your clothes, and run around naked, so you're not too hot! Stay in all the cold, snowy parts of Cyrodiil. Make Dive Rock your home. Frostcrag Spire makes a great palace for an Ice Deity.

Walk on water, pretending it's frozen. Only use the Conjuration skill to summon Frost Atronachs! With the spire you can also use Frost Salts to summon Frost Atronachs. Create a spell that summons a Frost Atronach for long periods of time. Always have it by your side. After all, gods need protection. Maybe a slight chameleon effect will give you the right transparent look as if you were actually made of ice. Enchant any armor or jewelry to make the visual effect become permanent, or use spells. The latter solution might fit better if you don't attempt being a full-time frosty but rather be some kind of medium for the Ice Deity to incarnate.

Nature Deity

A Deity in tune with plants and forests. Make yourself a Wood elf as they seem to be best linked with forests. Wear a green hood and robe, also wear leather gauntlets and boots. Also make a custom class and name it "God of Nature" or something like that to make this more realistic. A nice major skill to have is alteration. Make command creature spells and only use them on "Natural" down-to-earth creatures (Excluding Ogres, Goblins and mudcrabs) such as Bears, Minotaurs, and wolves.

Get the Boots of the Crusader. They may not quite fit the role, however they have the Woodland Grace enchantment, meaning that all forest creatures will not attack you. Use Alchemy frequently, but pretend you got the equipment from the heart of the woods.

Live out in the heart of the woods between Skingrad and Chorrol, or if you have the KOTN plug-in, live in Kynareth's grotto.

Fight everything with your fists (to show your dislike for man-made weapons) or wield a bow (to strike fear into your enemies hearts while they are being wiped out by single arrows launching from the forest) but only use when absolutely necessary; remember, the Nature Deity is benevolent and kind. If you find an Imperial Legion Forester, reverse pickpocket him a potion called "Nature's blessing" which should include fortify health, fortify fatigue and 100% resistance to poison, to aid him in the middle of the forest. Or, since they are hunting and killing your forest creatures maybe you kill them or sabotage them, by pickpocketing their arrows or bow, killing/stealing their horse or pickpocketing other supplies like food.

Have a chameleon spell called "Forest Concealment" so you can blend in with the forest itself. Have a high acrobatics skill and pretend to leap from tree-to-tree. Despise any who have axes while in the forest (i.e. Bandits) use "Forest Concealment" to swiftly and stealthily take them out.

Have a 100% weakness to fire, as plants burn very easily. Place plants on the road, to bless any noble people who walk along it.

Storm Deity
A servant of the Storm God and occasionally the Earth God, a Storm Atronach.

You could become a Storm deity, for example, you can become Thor, the God of Thunder, Lightning and Rain of the ancient Norse religion. To be a Storm Deity, it is best to find a tall tower - like Frostcrag Spire - (preferably, not ruined), mountain or other monolithic area. Remember, Deities love being noticed and revered, and a Storm Deity would resemble power and force, so something grand is needed. Be a Nord, as the Nords are seen as the tallest and most physically powerful race.

Make a new Class and name it suitably (such as God of Thunder). Choose powerful Attributes and Skills, such as Strength, Endurance, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Blunt and other physical skills. (NOTE: Security and Stealth should not be taken, neither should Alchemy, Light Armor or Restoration) Put the difficulty slider quite a ways down, or even put on God Mode (only for completely fun play, would only recommend doing so if you have already finished the game [God Mode Cheat:tgm])

Use a two handed hammer and either find a shock-enchanted one, or enchant your own. (e.g. Nerveshatter). Use Dwarven Armor or other large, grand armor and enchant it, or used pre-enchanted items (shock enchants). (NOTE: Do not use Daedric Armor or weapons, as it looks too much like fire)

If you used God Mode and are not a part of the Mages Guild, use the cheat "showspellmaking", and make a shock spell that is unbelievably powerful. Only ever use this power if a large group of people are against you. Make a few storm-related spells and then make a blessing of yourself (Such as the Blessing of Thor) and use it on people who serve you well.

Make grand artifacts of yourself, recruit followers and award them for deeds, or quests well done. Give your followers quests, by employing them to help you rid a cave of your enemy.

Remember, Lightning hits the Earth, make folklore about this and say it is because you and the Earth deity (give her/she a name) are at constant war. You should kill creatures of the earth, such as Spriggans and Land Dreugh. Creatures that tunnel and mine, who make the Earth their home, must also die, such as Goblins and Rats. Or as lightning needs earth to electrocute something tell tales of how you and the Earth Deity are in constant contact.

Complete the Fingers of the Mountain quest

Find a book that has something to do with Lightning, like the "Book of storms" from the Midas Magic mod, or, if you are a modder, make a Book that is your holy Bible and Tome. Put it in your temple. Carry it with you when you go to smite your foes or reward your followers.

Water Deity
A servant of the Water God, the dangerous Slaughterfish.

Probably the best to play this is as a strange blue-looking Argonian. Mess with the Character Creation until you have something sufficiently unearthly. As water is known to be smart choose all magic skills but switch alchemy for something like hand to hand for those unworthy of being killed by your magic.

Get yourself a staff that has very powerful destruction effects. Get another that has really good Illusion. Have permanent water walking or water breathing somehow - go get the Jewel of Rumare? When fighting, destroy things with ice spells. Speak out loud some incantation in a god voice when you're doing this. Don't use swords (exception being Chillrend as it has the appearance of being made of ice).

Enchant armor/robes/clothes with 100% frost resistance as frost is water. Wear clothing that would suit a water god - dress in all blue enchanted stuff, don't wear armor. When on the water (water walking), you should use chameleon and healing effects. You should not heal yourself when off of water unless you're using your Water Essence. Wear either robes or armor; maybe armor when underwater and robes when walking over it.

Live IN or on top of the water. Find one of the small islands in the middle of the river and set up your throne of sorts there. Put Water Essence everywhere, put books about water, Daedric gods and such all over the place. Go slay some slaughterfish and mudcrabs and collect crab meat and scales. Drop them somewhere on your throne island as sacrifices your subjects made. Or you can live in smugglers cove the first bit of the thieves den because that has water and a bed.

Live in a single lake but when you go out of the water look for other water masses, as if you cannot be away from water for too long. Go visit slaughterfish, mudcrabs and whatever else is down there, and hammer them with charm spells. Pretend to "command" your new subjects and make up laws for them. If they are doing something wrong, kill them. Show no mercy towards disobedience. Gift them occasionally - acquire stuff from outside your realm (in the stores), and dump it in the water.

Make a spell that heals on touch/target and call it "Blessing of Water" or something like that. Avoid lighting at all times. You are made of water and are not immune to Lighting attacks.

Drink self-made potions called "Water Essence" when you are away from water. It should have the effects of restore fatigue and health.

Kill NPCs that go swimming without permission. You have a long time hatred of Anvil (sailors trespassing in YOUR waters)-seek vengeance! Adding onto the hatred of Anvil, start a self made questline, involving you picking off beggars to merchants to guards, to causing a panic in the city. Try and kill them by commanding them and taking them to your slaughter fish servants. But you don't hate other cities try and offer your water healing spells to the sick.

Get weightless items and enchant them with water walking or breathing, and reverse pickpocket them onto your followers. If you're using the Fin Gleam helmet (found in the water just west of the small island west of Anvil's harbor) and you plan on wearing armor, wear glass for the green color. Try enchanting a ring for chameleon 20% or a spell for chameleon 10% to look like you are made of water but not totally invisible.

Have a few human followers as well as fish. As the nature deity needs you for his/her plants to grow either say how weak the nature deity is because he/she needs help or say how good friends you are with the nature deity. Scorn the fire deity and how weak he is compared to you and tell tales of you battle non-stop with him in a never ending war.

Raise your Intelligence and Willpower as you are the god of water and water symbolizes wisdom. Water conducts electricity, so if you are in a lightning storm or a lightning attack hits you, throw a lightning attack at your attacker!

  • PC NoteOn the PC, use the console to add yourself to the creature faction, stopping your slaughterfish and mudcrab armies from betraying you. Using the console make the giant slaughterfish docile and make it your pet. Set up base in its cavern. Make an underwater house.

Darkness Deity

The best way to look for this is to make your skin color jet black, regardless of your race. Keep changing the color of your skin until you look as black as the night. Darkness is considered the element of evil so choose skills that fit the word evil, such as Destruction, and maybe even use skills that an evil faction uses, Ex. Necromancers use Conjuration, Dark Brotherhood members use Sneak, etc. It doesnt matter what type of weapons you use, so feel free to choose between Blade, Blunt, or hand to hand. Get a staff that has very powerful destruction effects and name it something that sounds scary, like the Bloodied staff of Vengeance or something. Darkness is the element of the undead so have a few spells that summon skeletons or other undead creatures. When fighting, summoning spells and weapons excel. A very nice weapon to use for this roleplay is the Shadowrend Sword/Axe.

Wear Black or evil-looking clothes. Wear clothing that would suit a Darkness god - and to make this seem more realistic, enchant Daedric or other evil-looking armor and name it Armor of The Darkness God, Helmet of The Darkness God, Gauntlets of The Darkness God, etc. When in the dark, you should use chameleon and healing effects. You should become a 100% vampire, as you could have special abilities in the night and also daylight would hurt you, because you are the Darkness God. If you feel like walking around when not in battle, dont wear armor, and instead wear black robes like The black hand robes or King of worms robe. Live in a cave, or other secluded area that has no or little sunlight. Find a throne somewhere such as an Ayleid ruin or even better, the Dementia throne in the Shivering Isles and sit there when you are resting after a quest. Put Dark Essence everywhere, put books about Darkness( Ex. The Darkest Darkness book), Daedric gods and such all over the place. Collect Black Soul Gems, for they hold darkness within them. Drop them somewhere near your throne as sacrifices your subjects made.

You should be the leader of every evil or shadowy faction, for you are the God of Darkness. Be the Listener of The Dark Brotherhood, and The Gray Fox of the Thieves Guild.

You can go in daylight, but not much, for you must dwell in darkness. Go find Necromancers or other evil subjects and use charm spells on them. Pretend to "command" your new subjects and make up laws for them. If they are doing something wrong, kill them. Show no mercy towards disobedience. When they successfully carry out a task for you, reward(reverse-pickpocket) them with an enchanted piece of permanant bound armor named Darkness God's Reward. Make a spell that heals on touch/target and call it "Gift of Darkness" or something like that. Avoid light as much as you can. You are made of Darkness and have a strong weakness to Light.

Drink self-made potions called "Dark Essence" when you are in light. It should have the effects of restore fatigue and health.

Kill NPCs that use darkness-like powers without permission. You have a long time hatred of the Conjurers (Summoners of dark creatures)-Kill them! Adding onto the hatred of Conjurers, start a self made questline where you infiltrate the Mages Guild and murder the Conjurers in it. Only The evil necromancers are allowed to summon! Try and kill the Conjurers by commanding them and taking them to your Necromancer/other evil servants. But you don't hate everyone so try and offer your Darkness powers to the weak.

Have a few followers that are non-humans, such as Argonians. You are an enemy of all other deities so scorn them and tell others about your non-stop battle against all of them, and how you're outnumbered but still winning.

Raise your Destruction skill to max level, as you are the god of Darkness and Darkness symbolizes Evil. If you are attacked with an element such as fire, water, or thunder, use your darkness powers to manipulate their attack back at them.

[edit] Fanatic

Fanatics would gladly die for a religious cause. The tattered robes and the hood from M'aiq the Liar are good things to wear when not in combat. Imperial or Bretons are the only races that truly work for this. Worship your god, and only your god.

Choose a god to follow, for example: A Nine Divine such as Talos or Akatosh, or a Daedric Prince such as Azura or Sheogorath. To make it seem like you are truly devoted to your chosen god, enchant and name your armor/weapons after your god, like Blade of Talos or Helmet of Azura. However, don't name all your armor like that or else it would be boring. Who wants all of their armor to say of Akatosh at the end? So try to name some of your armor after something related to your god, for example a follower of Stendarr could name their gauntlets something like Hands of Mercy, so be creative.

Pray at a chapel/statue/shrine of your god at least once every day and make an offering to them. If you are the leader of any guilds(Ex. Arch-Mage of Mages Guild) try to spread books related to your chosen god around the buildings of the guild to try and convert the other members.

Read about your god and learn who their enemies are. Make a self-made questline that your god is using you as their personal Warrior and they want you to eliminate all NPCs that worship the gods who are against your god.

You could even defile chapels and turn them into a shrine of your god. Be the Most Religious Fanatic you can be and do whatever you can for your god. You could also do activities related to your god. For example, a worshiper of Hircine could hunt every now and then.

Make a spell called Summon "Your God's name here" and make it summon a spirit. Use it every summoning day of your chosen god. Act as if you are summoning your god so they can personally tell you your next mission.

[edit] Heretic

Heretics are the opposites of Zealots, denouncing Sheogorath as a false god. They manipulate and destroy their foes.

Find Heretic camps, get the robes and hood, and kill anyone who doesn't think you're a true Heretic, including other Heretics that attack you. You can buy a home or live in a Heretic camp. You mainly stay in Mania but you might wander off to Dementia and kill off some Zealots. Place the book Heretical Thoughts in all your homes. Travel almost always in Sneak, observing the situation.

You favor blunt weapons over Blades and you usually use Daedric weapons. Destruction, Conjuration, Alteration, and Restoration must flow from your hands. Learn how to summon a Hunger, and do so whenever you please. Most Hungers are your slaves; use them to kill your enemies. Some Hungers you may become attached to and you may treat them like a pet. Lure in a Dark Seducer or Golden Saint to "attack" you. A Heretic's goal is to kill all Dark Seducers, Golden Saints, Zealots, and ultimately Sheogorath.

  • PC Note Using the PC, use the console to add yourself to the Heretic faction and rather than attacking you, the Heretics will be allied with you, and you can also get a permanent summoned Hunger and name it something to have it as your pet.

[edit] Inquisitor

An Inquisitor is a zealot of the nine divines. The best races for an inquisitor are Imperial, Altmer, Breton, Nords, Redguard, or Bosmer. Torture the lesser races like the Argonians, Khajiits, Dunmer and Orcs. Wear enchanted robes.

Purify Cyrodiil by infiltrating and destroying the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild. Wipe out all influence of the daedra including books and artifacts. Exterminate all Daedric followers including the Mythic Dawn and it is also important to close Oblivion gates.

Live in Frostcrag Spire, Benirus Manor, Rosethorn Hall, Arborwatch, the Priory of the Nine or have your own hidden lair e.g Deepscorn Hollow or Fort Farragut. Make friends with heavy worshipers like Alessia Ottus. Take control of every chapel in Cyrodiil by joining the Nine divines faction using the quest Pilgrimage in the Nine Divines Plug-in. If you have taken over a guild or all the guilds, rule them religiously and convert them by putting religious books in all of the guild areas.

If you have Shivering Isles, advance to the quest where you become inquisitor and instead of completing the quest just torture castle members every now and then.

[edit] Manifestation

Maybe you have worshipped a god for so long, that they decide to manifest into your body and use you to do their bidding. Choose a God from here and roleplay that they have manifested into your body, making them control you. Do deeds that your chosen god would do. Zenithar, for example appreciates hard work so if you were his manifestation you would either work really hard or do good deeds for others who work very hard.

Choose a race that your god is associated with, a cyrodiil god would be imperial, a skyrim god would be Nord, a Morrowind god would be Dunmer, and so on.

If there are any items in the game that are related to your god, wear them, and also enchant any other armor or weapons you use and name them something like Helmet of Sithis if you worship Sithis or Blade of Stendarr if you worship Stendarr.

[edit] Monk

Monks live peaceful lives, encouraging generosity and kindness. Always use Hand-to-Hand and spells if you must fight. Don't use weapons. Practice martial arts in your spare time, and maybe even become a Blade. Wear Monks robes (regular and white). You will need Calm, Restore Health and Invisibility spells to be a Monk.

Pray over a deceased body that you may have killed. Leave a gift on the corpse. Keep the world peaceful. If somebody is rude to you, charm them or bribe them to make their day. You could live in the Weynon Priory, with your fellow monks. Choose a chapel that you really like and work there as a priest once or twice a week.

[edit] Mythic Dawn

The Mythic Dawn Cult are the worshipers of Mehrunes Dagon, the Daedric god of Destruction and Natural Disasters, who is plotting against the Nine Divines. You can join the Mythic Dawn by completing the Main Quest until the The Path of Dawn quest. Give Harrow all your possessions, as this is the "Purification". Do not, however, steal the Mysterium Xarxes, for this will make the faction turn against you. If you have a home, spread around clues that you may be in the Mythic Dawn inside it, such as a book of Daedra, the 4 commentaries, Daedric artifacts, and even your Mythic Dawn Robe and hood in a dresser, but make them at least a little bit tricky to find, giving anyone suspicious of you a puzzle to solve. Once joined, you will be very pleased to know that when you use a Power Attack your character will yell For Lord Dagon! or Die Unbeliever!, which is an ideal perk for roleplayers. Additionally, if your character takes health damage, he may yell I do not fear death! or Paradise Awaits Me, also great for roleplaying.

Mythic Dawn Assassin The section of the cult responsible for the Emperor's murder. They absolutely spite the nonbelievers, and will cave into their despising attitude when they see any member of the Blades Faction. Thusly, as one, you must do the same.

Recruiter Use a Command Humanoid spell and force somebody into the Mythic Dawn Cult, pretending they passed the test and you gave them the four cult books.

Member The basic member of the Mythic Dawn, they feed on others' pain and suffering. Use a Command Humanoid spell and force them into the evil lair in your house (e.g. Benirus Manor Basement, since they can't get past the portal).

Mage The mythic dawn spellcaster. Try forcing animals and humans to be your slaves by using Command Humanoid and Creature spells.

To keep your identity secret: you should never openly show your Mythic Dawn affiliation and never wear your robe unless you're alone with another member. Also, other Mythic Dawn members now have 100 Disposition towards you, which adds the a new greeting dialogue: Greetings Brother/Sister or Greet the new day, brother/sister

[edit] Pilgrim

Pilgrims travel across the land to visit wayshrines and take on harsh endeavors to show their devotion to the gods. Travel across Cyrodiil and visit wayshrines, bringing offerings. Visit cities and tell tales of mighty gods and stories you pick up on your travels.

Although you may just be a holy pilgrim, you will still try to do whatever you can for the Nine Divines. Maybe join the Knights of the Nine, and even become the Holy Divine Crusader. Visit chapels every once in a while and sit in them for a while, as if you are praying to your god.

[edit] Priest of the Nine

A Priest of the Nine lives a peaceful life, and worships the Nine Divines. A good residence would be a chapel. Tattered or Gray Robes are appropriate attire for a Priest of the Nine. Cast a healing spell on people who enter the chapel in the morning and at night to give them a 'blessing'. Host services, like weddings and funerals. You could even wed your own followers, then cast demoralize on both of them, so they run out of the chapel, ready to spend the rest of their lives together.

Most priests would want to own the Knights of the Nine expansion to further religious activity. The Priory of the Nine makes a good residence. Complete the Knights of the Nine questline and serve the followers in your priory with food, clean clothes and heal them if necessary. If you don't want to complete the quest then just start the Pilgrimage so you are a part of the Nine Divines Faction allowing you to sleep and eat anything in the Churches.

The Nine do not approve of bounties. If you commit a crime, do a pilgrimage to reconcile your sins.

Visit all the cities and churches to introduce yourself to other priests. Pray at the many chapels to make available the Divines' blessing at their respective altars. You can consider the church a 'Guild'. Bless people you see on the street and be a charitable person. Do good deeds for people like helping them farm. This increases your reputation for being a good person and a follower of the gods. Give the poor gold and food.

To generate an income, you may want to collect ingredients you come across in your travels between cities. You could even raid known Necromancer hideouts and bandit dens. Vampires also offer a prime target for any holy warrior. You can also turn Vampire Dust in for gold after completing The Order of the Virtuous Blood quest.

[edit] Priest of the Order

Priests of the Order are priests from the order that attack New Sheoth in the Shivering Isles expansion. As one of them, always use their robes and hoods, and maybe use the following skills: Blade, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism and Restoration. As a Priest of the Order your main goal is simple: kill and destroy everything in New Sheoth. Annihilate everything and everyone, even the heretics that try to denounce Sheogorath. They're against you too. This type of roleplay is very difficult because everyone is against you and you need to be very powerful. If you have completed Shivering Isles and become Lord Sheogorath, use the Sword of Jyggalag as your main weapon. Use conjuration and close-quarter destructive spells, maybe try a bit of health-absorbing magic too. Live in the pillaged camps or settlements spread around The Shivering Isles, then maybe go to Cyrodil and "cleanse" it after you kill everyone, and everything.

[edit] Religious Maniac

Religious Maniacs are obsessed with the Divines and convinced they are their instrument; they go around burning "unholy" cities and villages. Wear White Mage's Robes or Mithril armor and use silver or enchanted fine steel weapons. Possibly go barefoot as a sign of purity. Burn cities and villages to the ground with "holy fire" when there are too many unholy or insane people (e.g. one). Cadlew Chapel is a possible target, as there are Necromancers there that have ruined the chapel. Slaughter them and burn their bodies with lit torches!

Wipe out the daedra followers. Never use daedric armor or weapons, for they are unholy items. Close every single oblivion gate and when you have to infiltrate the Mythic Dawn base of operations, refuse to give up your gear and slaughter them.

When you are in a holy chapel, be kind to the monks there. You may be a maniac, but you should praise all who help the Nine Divines.

[edit] Zealot

A female Zealot, looking annoyed.

If you have the Shivering Isles expansion, you could become a Zealot - a worshiper of Sheogorath. Zealots use mostly magic in combat. A camp in Dementia would be appropriate, or a camp in Mania to intrude on Heretic land. After you kill a Heretic, take their robes and present them to Sheogorath, then throw them on the ground and burn them in front of him by setting lit torches on it. Always wear your Zealot Robe and Hood.

Regularly go over to Mania and kill some Heretics for wanting to overthrow Sheogorath. A Command Humanoid spell could convince some fellow Zealots to join you. Worshipers of other Daedric Princes would also be viable targets(If you are visiting Cyrodiil then you might want to kill the Mythic Dawn cult)

An undercover Zealot in either Crucible or Bliss could stay at an inn, watch the residents, and secretly kill unbelievers( This includes those non-loyal to Sheogorath and those who worship other Daedric deities). An undercover Zealot in Cyrodiil could start recruiting people from inns and other public places using a command humanoid spell to convince them to come with you and become a zealot in The Shivering Isles.
