Zone 1: Talwinque

You enter this zone through the front door (Out). Initially, your only option for exploring the rest of the dungeon is to head for door C, by heading north (left-hand turn) at the entrance. You can try heading south (right-hand turn), but you will not be able get past gate J from this direction. You will use one of the other two doors (D or E) to return from the other zones, and will be able to access the rest of the first zone at that time.

When returning, there is little difference between using door D and E. If you do return through door E, make sure to explore the area around door D for one more loot chest.

Occupants:

  • 1 Bandit Hedge Wizard
  • 1 archer Bandit
  • 4 melee Bandits

Treasure:

Traps:

Doors and Gates:

  • There are four doors in/out of this zone
  • 1 Iron Gate (opened remotely) at J, opened by the pressure plate on the east side (cyan dot on map).

Other:

  • 2 bedrolls at locations b on map

Zone 2: Talwinque Ceysel

Talwinque Ceysel

You initially enter this zone through door C. The first door you will find while exploring is D, but that door only leads back to the first zone. Door E is the one to use to advance to the third zone. Talwinque Ceysel is the zone where you may find an Orc Adventurer (O); it is also where all ten of Talwinque's Welkynd Stones are found.

The main central room of this zone has two levels. You start out on the upper level of the room, and you can choose to stay on the upper level, crossing the main room using the long bridge spanning the room. All three doors to the other zones are accessed from the upper level. To reach the lower level of the central room, you will have to jump down (you may want to kill the enemies using ranged weapons/magic first). At the bottom you will find one loot chest. Furthermore, from the lower level you can reach the set of stairs on the east side of the room. These stairs lead to the otherwise inaccessible northeastern room, and from there you can open gate I and regain access to the rest of the dungeon.

Occupants:

Treasure:

  • 2 Chests 01 (1 locked)
  • 1 Chest 02 (locked)
  • 1 Chest 03 (locked)
  • 10 Welkynd Stones, all on pedestals around the upper perimeter of the large central room (2 on the west side, 2 on the north side, 6 at the southeast corner).
  • The following armor will always be found: 1 Iron Shield
  • The following weapons will always be found: 1 Iron Mace, 1 Iron Shortsword, and 1 Iron War Axe

Traps:

  • 1 Swinging Mace trap at H, activated by either of the two adjacent Pressure Plate triggers (G), one of which is unusually placed in the middle of the flight of stairs.

Doors and Gates:

  • There are three doors in/out of this zone
  • 1 Iron Gate (opened remotely) at I. The activation block for the gate is on the east side of the gate (cyan dot); the gate can only be opened after you have jumped down into the main room's lower level.

Other:

  • 2 bedrolls at locations b on map

Zone 3: Talwinque Aransel

Talwinque Aransel
Talwinque Aransel

It is possible to enter the zone through either door F (from the second zone) or door E (from the first zone); you will generally want to work your way to the door through which you did not enter. Along the way you will want to retrieve the main treasures of the dungeon: the boss chest (B) and one varla stone (V).

The boss chest is in the large central room. It is possible to jump down into the room, but the safer way down is to use one of the two staircases: one on the east side of the room, and one on the south side of the room.

Occupants:

  • 1 boss-level Bandit at location A on map
  • 5 melee Bandits

Treasure:

  • 1 boss-level Chest 01 (Bandit variety; locked) at location B on map
  • 1 Varla Stone at V. This Varla Stone is sitting in the open on a pedestal.
  • 1 Chest 04
  • The following weapons will always be found: 1 Iron Shortsword

Doors and Gates:

  • There are two doors in/out of this zone

Other:

  • 1 bedroll at location b on map
