Ulene Hlervu is a female Dunmer Healer serving as castle mage in Cheydinhal. She is not involved in any quests and does not offer any services. However, she does have some important and unique dialogue.

• Ulene has a "Daedra shrines" conversation topic (which appears either when you talk to Ulene about Cheydinhal or when you read the book Modern Heretics). When you speak to Ulene about this topic, she will mark Azura's Shrine on your map, if it is not already there from having read Modern Heretics.

[edit] Unique Dialogue

If you ask Ulene about "Cheydinhal", she will respond:

You worship the Nine Divines, perhaps? Have they ever helped or harmed you? Of course not. Now, worship a Daedra Lord, and you get effects... bad ones, of course, but clear and measurable effects.

An important side-effect of this dialogue is that it adds the "Daedra shrines" and "Daedra cults" dialogue topics. The only other way to add both of these topics is by reading the book Modern Heretics (talking to Trayvond the Redguard will add only the "Daedra cults" but not the "Daedra shrines" topic). With this topic enabled, several NPCs (including Ulene herself, see notes) will be willing to talk to you about Daedric shrines and will add markers for various shrines to your map; see Daedric Quests for the names of these NPCs.
