"Setstage Dark10specialwizard 40" should cause this quest to finish right? I have tried roughly infinity variations of this and "Setstage Dark10specialwizard <insert number here>" is the only one that does not give me some sort of error but it still doesn't do anything at all. I'm stuck at stage 30.00 of the quest, the part after I have killed the necromancer and I have to head back for the reward to be specific. However when I get the reward and the next quest in the dead drop the quest doesn't update. can anyone explain this whole setstage thing in laymen terms, I'm having a hard time fully understanding it.
Edit: I used the "Completequest" console command to finish this one and then the setstage command to start the second one so my problem is resolved. I'm still wondering why it didn't work the first time with my first method though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.52.203.217 (talk • contribs).
- Based on the quest's quest stages, there is no stage 40 for the quest, so trying to set the stage to 40 probably would result in an error message. To complete the quest, you would need to set the quest stage to the value provided for the final stage of the quest, i.e., the one with the "finishes quest" check mark next to it. So the correct command should be:
SetStage Dark10SpecialWizard 100
- Generally, 100 is used for the stage that ends a quest, but to be safe it's best to check the quest page and confirm the stage number. --NepheleTalk 01:01, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
