There is also Arkved's Oasis though I have not found the purpose of that area which contains only 1 chest and a door which you can't enter....

Yep, Arkved's Oasis should be added. It was overlooked because it is categorized as an outdoors area in Oblivion, rather than as a dungeon area. --NepheleTalk 04:14, 21 July 2007 (EDT)

Anybody try messing around in Arkved's Retreat? It reminded me of a scene in the movie Time Bandits. It looks like if you move off the central platform you die, although I wasn't sure if you could actually do that (and didn't try). --Natpoor 20:41, 15 July 2007 (EDT)

Well, it's possible (although not easy) to jump to and land on some of the floating columns, but it's pretty much a one way trip with no rewards. Once you fall past a certain level (maybe 100 feet down), you instantly die.
Jumping into Arkved's Void also usually leads to death (although sometimes after being allowed to fall for a long time before being declared dead). But not always. Twice when I jumped off from right in front of the door to Arkved's Lost Halls, I ended up landing back on the same rock. Some type of odd loop in space?
So I think I've now committed suicide for the sake of the wiki enough times, at least for one night ;) --NepheleTalk 04:14, 21 July 2007 (EDT)

Anyone played Thief: The Dark Project? Arkved's Tower seems like a pretty close homage to Constantine's Manor - certainly, if you're going to design a crazy wizard's house, you're going to end up with some standard ideas whatever you do, but T:TDP had the upside-down room, the giant room, the room with an empty black void, the room full of oversized trees, the haunting chimes resonating through the halls...
