[edit] Interesting occurance

Hi. I've completed Breaking the Siege of Kvatch before giving the amulet to Jauffre. For some reason, none of the gates I remember seeing have opened, e.g. the one southwest of Gweden Farm. Is this a bug, or is it that the Gweden Farm gate doesn't open until you return Martin to Weynon Priory? --Tentacle 13:15, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

Oblivion gates don't start to open until you complete Find the Heir. Even at that point, the gates that open are randomly determined, so gates that you saw open in previous games may not appear in a new game. --NepheleTalk 13:50, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

During one of my games I waited until past level 20 to start this. I then rushed through to get to the gates. When I checked my inventory later, the amulet was still there... Any clue why?

[edit] Jauffre Doesn't talk to me

When i walk into Weynon Priory one of the monks talk to me and tell me that Jauffre is upstairs but when i go upstairs Jauffre doesn't talk to me. Im using version of the pc version. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.119.181.34 (talkcontribs).

Can you please elaborate such as, "I go up to him, and hit "Talk" and nothing happens" or is it like you can talk to him but he doesn't like you or something like that? --Playjex 18:27, 24 February 2008 (EST)
Do you mean that when you activate him to talk to him he doesn't respond, or you can't activate him, or he doesn't like you, or something else entirely? --Gaebrial 05:58, 29 February 2008 (EST)

[edit] Arriving

When i arrive in Weynon priory and talk to Jauffre, there isn't topic Asistence. I have closed Kvatch oblivion gates. Still have that amulet.

While I have no problems on my machine (with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch), you are doing the quests out of order, which may be causing problems in an unpatched game. Try loading an older saved game from before shutting the gate and give the amulet to Jauffre first. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 14:38, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Sleeper Agents Going Live

I decided to keep the Amulet and wander about for a bit (it's safer with me than Jauffre anyway). I got a standard Mythic Dawn Assassin turning up when I fast travelled somewhere, as usually happens (and, BTW, ought to be mentioned in the article). However, rather later in Anvil, I was attacked by Isolde. I think. I had just completed the Ghost Ship quest and come out with three ghosts hot on my tail. The town's sleepy afternoon thus enlivened, it took me a while to notice Isolde flailing helplessly in the water under the dock, thoroughly stuck, in full Mythic Dawn armor and clearly wishing to stick that mace in something (presumably me?). The ghosts disposed of, Isolde eventually managed to get out and seemed to give up on murdering me. She wandered off on her usual routine - still in her Mythic Dawn Armor! I could converse with her normally, but received no bounty when I murdered her in plain sight of everyone.

So, what does this mean?

  • Can sleeper agents go live when you are carrying the Amulet? This deserves a mention if so.
  • Or, do sleeper agents occasionally make use of their Mythic Dawn summoning skills to defend the town?

Wondering if the agents were live, I went to Bravil to provoke Renawhoever at the Lonely Suitor Lodge, but she staunchly ignored me, which is why I wondered if Isolde could have had an attack of public-spiritedness instead? Or alternatively, is she just a bit thick (aka bugged?).

Anyway, all good clean fun. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.105.77.12 (talkcontribs) on October 3, 2008.

What happened is that Isolde was responding to the presence of the ghosts. She used her spell to get armor and a weapon because she had it, and went into battle mode to fight the ghosts. The Amulet had nothin to do with it. Darkle 18:47, 3 October 2008 (EDT)

[edit] So what happens if...?

I've been wondering, what happens if you keep the amulet and break the seige of Kvatch first. Now technically you can't give the Amulet to Martin or have him follow you, but what if you used a powerful Command Humanoid Spell on him (his level is PC+5), then traveled to Weynon with him behind you. So you basically walk up to Jauffre with both the Amulet and Martin! I'm positive nothing interesting would happen, but it'd just be cool to basicaly win the game like that.--Zirakseez 20:44, 16 November 2008 (EST)

[edit] Jauffre doesn't talk bug?

This bug seems to have occured to me. I'm not entirely sure if I visited wenory priory before, but the quest doesn't update beyond the message in the sewers and jauffre doesn't talk. I've been playing through guilds, but havn't completed any. Would the patch fix it?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.167.44.132 (talkcontribs) on 08:44, 3 July 2009 (UTC).
