Has anybody considered changing the image of Farwil Indarys? Maybe him drinking in the Newlands Lodge?

I was in Cheydinhal near Riverview and i find Farwil Indarys dead! I didn't kill the man, i just found him laying there in their front steps, dead. Would some of the guards have killed him? And if so, why? I don't remember him doing anything wrong.
