[edit] Console update ate my Battlehorn :(
I downloaded this content onto the 360 when it was free. Just today (Dec. 8/07) I downloaded and installed the latest 360 console software update (as dictated by Xbox LIVE). After rebooting Oblivion, and loading a save file, a message popped up asking me if I wanted to continue since the save file contained content that was "no longer available." To my disappointment, the map marker and Battlehorn quest (with that particular char I had not yet indulged the mod but had maxed it out with a separate char) had disappeared. I was just wondering if this had happened to other 360'ers, and/or if console updates have a habit of removing content in this way? --CharmSpell 22:02, 8 December 2007 (EST)
- Not sure what happened, but there was an update available for Oblivion that seemed to have fixed the problem...also, it turned out that the actual content did not disappear off the hard drive but somehow became uninstalled, and with no obvious way to reinstall it. So, there you go? :p --CharmSpell 23:53, 13 December 2007 (EST)
[edit] Unsafe containers?
Are there any unsafe containers that Battlehorn owners should know about? like the containers behind that secret wall in the private quarters, they look unsafe, cept maybe the boss level chest.
[edit] Screwed
I just got screwed. For one I didn't hear about this when it came out and was available as a free download, and secondly I figured what the heck, I'd drop $1.89 on it. Thing is the installer doesn't support Vista. There was a disclaimer on the website, but it read in such a confusing manner that I didn't know if the installer didn't work on 64 bit Vista, or all Vista. Needless to say I'm pissed off and will never play any Bethesda game ever again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.160.237.47 (talk • contribs).
- Have you checked our page on the problem? I'm running 64-bit Vista and have managed to install all the official mods. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 05:49, 14 April 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Go about your Business Command (Lost Guard)
I was taking one of the guards with me into the imperial city and clicked the go about your business command in the market district and headed into a shop to do some shopping.
Well when I came out of the shop he was gone and I have no idea where that npc went whether he goes back to the castle or just disappears into the game world somewhere. 122.109.252.43 10:28, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- He'll walk back to Battlehorn Castle, which may take some time. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 12:47, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Plugin Activated, but No Banana
I downloaded this on my Xbox 360 using a friend's wireless adapter. My GamerTag is configured for Xbox Live and all; I had just lost my own wireless adapter. Anyways, when I downloaded this and loaded up my save file the plugin doesn't work. Like, Dragonfire Castle isn't in the world, I don't get the rumors, none of that.
Do I need to update oblivion somehow, or do I always need to have a wireless adapter on my 360 to use downloaded content, or what? 70.138.167.143 22:16, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Secret Treasure Vault? I don't think so.
After installing the download and looking around I discovered a couple of secret tunnels. There was a trapdoor leading to a picnic table and a book in a secret room that led to another secret door. That led to a couple of undead undead but still no sort of secret vault. After reading about it on UESP I spent an addtional ten hours looking at every square inch of wall and floor in the whole place and found nothing extra. At this point I do not believe there is any kind of vault in Battlehorn, secret or otherwise. This information must be false.68.149.251.64 00:07, 31 October 2008 (EDT)Murray B
- Sounds like you've missed a secret. See this. Besides, the vault is the room with the undead. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:45, 31 October 2008 (EDT)

- Still don't think there is a vault.
- Thanks Rpeh for letting me know there are only three secret doors to find. This saves me a lot of time. The page you mention indicates that the closet is "...small 'storage vault' with 3 chests..." The single quotes automatically show that it is not a vault at all. The grotto is also not a vault since I expect that 99 44/100% of fans would agree that a single chest does not a vault make. The site should indicate "secret storage closet" or "secret storage grotto" or even "secret storage area" to prevent confusion.
- Another thing I have found puzzling is how to start the quest. The literature indicates that there is a war and I am prepared for it but nobody comes. To get the place I had to fight four or five marauders and the bastards killed Kenny, my storm atronach. Pieces of poor Kenny are still lying all over the road a month later, but the war still hasn't started.68.149.251.64 19:07, 31 October 2008 (EDT)Murray B.

- Those four or five Marauders you fought....that WAS the war...Celestron 11:51, 8 November 2008 (EST)

[edit] Battlehorn Castle Installation
I just got this from Bethsoft. if you are having difficulty installing the Battlehorn Castle addon, open your Windows task manager, go to "Process" and close the "cftmon.exe" process. Then you will be able to install the addon. (PC version only)Celestron 11:47, 8 November 2008 (EST)
- Umm... try checking the section on Installation Issues (which has a link in the infobox for every plugin), specifically the the part about "Hangs after activating". There's no need to repeat the information on every individual plugin page. --NepheleTalk 01:16, 11 November 2008 (EST)
