With a large Fortify Magicka spell, is it possible to create a custom spell that you had the level for but not the Magicka? Zander 09:15, 15 October 2008 (EDT)

I suppose you could. But depending on the spell you were trying to make, you'd need a Fortify Magicka spell that was pretty big, and would therefore take up a lot of Magicka before actually giving you more. IMO, Fortify Magicka enchantments (especially with Transcendent Sigil Stones) would be infinitely more useful than a spell that would likely need at least Journeyman or Expert Restoration. --^Darkle ~ _Talk 08:34, 17 October 2008 (EDT)

If that is true, then why does it say to use trancendent sigil stones instead of enchanting which would make more magicka, but use money. Helper Unknown 20:26, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Because transcendent stones provide a 50 pt. fortify magicka enchantment, while a homemade enchantment using a Grand Soul only provides 24 pt. Self made fortify magicka is actually beaten by Latent Sigil stones which are available from levels 9-12, long before creatures with Grand Souls become common.
