Things falling through the ground.

Xbox360.pngI'm really having a problem with items and even corpses falling through the ground in dungeons. I'm in Vilverin right now and I killed a Skeleton Champion that was wielding a mace that I wanted. I killed him with my Mace of Doom and when the corpse landed, I heard a watery ker-plunk, and the corpse was nowhere to be found. This is happening alot. I have every mod installed and all the patches installed. DaedryonTCE 00:55, 3 August 2008 (EDT)

This is a glitch already covered but it seems in certain places, things fall through the ground because the ground is cracked enough for that object to fall through to the bottom of the cell, where at this time you either can not get to it, or if you get to it, you can not leave. It is discussed under Permeable Walls --Chibiace 17:33, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Jail wont keep my quest items.

Yes I want to get rid the quest items I have of completed quest but they wont leave me :(

As soon as I leave the cell from the jail I get them back, if I go to the chest to get my items back I dont get them back then but when I leave I get all back.

Codyz 22:48, 3 August 2008 (EDT)

Unfourtunately, unless you are playing on the PC, you won't be able to remove them. Often if you keep quest items after completion through an exploit, or if they are forcibly removed (through scripted sequences such as going to jail), they become "stuck" on you. One thing you could do is reload a previous save and drop them before going to jail.--AlphamanT 23:43, 3 August 2008 (EDT)
Well I want to get rid of my stupid quest items that are hogging most of my equipment, I have a ps3 with original and game of the year edition can I get rid of them some other way on the ps3?
I have used the CE Glitch to get most of my skills that reached their 100 peak to over 3k :( I like no weapon 1 hit kills. I dont want to reset that...
Codyz 10:49, 4 August 2008 (EDT)
Unfortunately for PS3 or Xbox 360 users, there is no way to get rid of the glitched "stuck" quest items. Being arrested and going to jail is only a temporary way to remove the items; after your jail sentence it automatically adds the quest items back. On the plus side, almost every single quest item is zero weight, so while annoying to scroll through, they shouldn't actually burden you at all. --Mike | Contrib 11:11, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Major Glitch

Okay, so I have this really problematic thing. I just did Malacath's quest, right. Well, I got the Volendrung and was over-encumbered. I drunk some Skooma and ran to Lord Drads Estate to drop my items. After I did this, however, I was unable to fast travel anyway. Thinking it might help to reset the XBOX 360 (I'm playing XBOX), I did so. However, when I did, I was suddenly rendered incapable of doing anything. What happened? By the way, it seems to have done this on all my saved games with the one character, and I really don't fancy starting again. So help? I apologize if this isn't the correct place or even the correct site to ask for help or advice regarding actual problems. --86.148.234.51 13:57, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Request: Addition of helpful note about duplication glitch

This is more of a suggestion to help people who attempt it, but I am not sure how it should be added in the current entry.

Items tend to go all over the place - but I have found if you "aim" into a bucket that you cannot pick up/place in your inventory - so when you mash the "pick up" button you don't accidentally get it - (example being the one in the Imperial City shack next to the bed, if you purchased the Kitchen storage upgrade) before dropping/duplicating the items, and they are small enough to fit, they fall in nice and tidy rather than all over the floor. This has helped me immeasurably when duplicating reagents for alchemy.

Also to duplicate items, optimal pre-drop item stack size is N-1 where N is the number of scrolls/arrows you are using. (10 scrolls, 9 Varla Stones, end result is 8 [left in inventory]+ 10 [dropped on ground, stacks of 9+1] = 19 Varla Stones). This results in the least drops necessary for the most generated items, in least stacks on the ground. It also can be repeated without picking up anything. (10 scrolls, 8 Varla Stones, end result is 6 [inventory]+ 10 [ground, stacks of 8+2] + 10 [existing stack, 9+1] = 26 Varla Stones). This works great with the bucket trick.

If you use the Permanent Enchant Duplication Method on a non-enchanted weapon, I.E. Steel Bow, it has a tendency to crash your game (Xbox 360). Will test more and see if any weapons or armor do not do this. 98.28.145.83 01:16, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

Please help! Skeleton key!

Hi, I need some help. One day, I had the Skeleton Key in my Inventory. The next day i wanted to pick a lock, but it wouldnt let me. Then I noticed the Skeleton Key was gone! I have been duping a lot too, if that helps. Its on the Xbox 360! The Argonian is here 12:30, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Did you go to jail during that time?--Chibiace 04:37, 8 August 2008 (EDT)

I dont know. I dont have a 'bad or evil' character. Why? The Argonian is here 12:13, 8 August 2008 (EDT)

Its quite possible to accidently strike someone and then go to jail, nothing wrong with not playing a bad or evil character, we just need more information.--Chibiace 03:45, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

Um, I dont remember. If I did get in jail, can I get it out again? The Argonian is here 10:44, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

You might have left it in one of the Evidence Chests if you got sent to jail. The only other alternatives are that it's in a container somewhere else, or that you dropped it somewhere. –RpehTCE 12:10, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

Oh, thank you so much! Ill go find it. The Argonian is here 10:33, 14 August 2008 (EDT)

Also, only the original skeleton key works, so it's possible that you got rid of (possibly sold) the real one. As far as I know, they all have their own stack so it is easy to drop 'em--Drake3555 22:53, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Scales of Pitiless Justice Glitch! Please help!

I had the scales in my inventory, and the effects worked as normal. When I removed the scales, the stats stayed the same! Even when I use 'player.removeitem...' the effect is still on! Please, can someone help? I really want my stats back to normal without any fortification or any skill boots / reducers. I dunno what to do. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do please? I'm really stuck :(--Shur'tugal 23:07, 8 August 2008 (EDT)

Strange thing, don't know if it's a glitch

In castle Anvil, I went through the secret door in the smithy, (without a membership in thiefes guild), in the other end a guard saw me and ran after me into the tunnel, He talked to me, stoped me for violating the law, i resristed arrest and closed the secret doorway behind the guard. a few seconds later I managed to kill the guard, but my only bounty was 25 gold. I tried it for a few times but my bounty didn't rise. does this sound like a glitch to anyone? Have anyone ever had this glitch? (if it is a glitch) -Goblin lair 11:20, 13 August 2008

Battles with guards are weird sometimes, occasionally you won't get a bounty any higher for killing a guard because technically he was the one who initiated the attack. I'm not entirely positive but I believe depending on the fight its simply whoever attacks first, I've killed an entire horde of guards in Skingrad and the Imperial City (two different occasions) and my bounty never went above 25. — Unsigned comment by 69.148.17.17 (talk) on 20 September 2008

Dorian Glitch

Ok, so I tried the post-patch method described in the article. I go into his house during the night, covered by 100% chameleon. I bribed him (so he had more money to loot.) and then paralyzed him. Problem is, I can't loot his body. When I 'activate' him (either in noral or sneak mode) I just get 'Dorian is fleeing'. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? (everything done under chameleon (100%)). --LordDagon 14:11, 16 August 2008 (EDT)

Have you tried to bring down his fatigue down with poisons and spells? Chibiace 05:31, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
No, cause I guessed that it would have the same effect. I thought he would still be 'fleeing' even while he would still be lying down. But, I'll give it try. -- LordDagon 08:53, 20 August 2008 (EDT)
Ok, so I tried to use absorb fatigue. Same result: 'Dorian is fleeing.' I tried several times but 'Dorian is fleeing'. -- LordDagon 06:45, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
You can't do it if you have 100% chameleon, you will always get "Dorian is fleeing" sorry, you need to do it when he's seeing you.— Unsigned comment by 189.171.160.224 (talk) on 21 August 2008

I need to be visible? Ok, I'll try that. -- LordDagon 09:49, 25 August 2008 (EDT)

Ok, i got it to work. After bribing him, I looted over 500000 septims! Every septim you take this way counts towards the "items stolen" stat though. -- LordDagon 08:26, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

Other that paintbrush

If you pick up some Stone Bricks, one variation floats like paint brushes. Using Dupe glitches, that can be easier as it is a bigger step. — Unsigned comment by 24.110.239.150 (talk) on 16 August 2008

Any information on where this variation of Stone Brick is picked up would be greatly appreciated. 98.28.145.83 01:14, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

I've never heard of a 'Stone Brick' until now, but here is a comment from this: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Stone_Brick#Stone_Brick page that I hope helps,
Found in the ruins of Vilverin, Reynald Jemane's house in Chorrol, North-East of the Imperial City, the warehouses in Anvil and the Imperial City, and in Ambroise Canne's House in Skingrad. There is also one found in the taxidermist's room in Battlehorn Castle, one in the basement of Drakelowe and several in the gaps in the walls near Modryn Oreyn's house in Chorrol. — Unsigned comment by 69.148.17.17 (talk) on 20 September 2008

Please help me! Major Scroll dupe problems!

I promise i know how to scroll dupe (i have 16 of same scroll, click once/twice (i've tried both) then drop your item that you are only supposed to have one of)I used this method with a normal silver longsword, and it is at 100 health! Isn't is supposed to be working? I'm really stuck....not to mention i've tried the dupe with quite a few items like brass topaz rings, and that is not working either-help will be greatly appreciated :) — Unsigned comment by 218.103.217.111 (talk) on 18 August 2008

Try selling the item to a merchant and then buying it back. After this, the duplication glitch should work. Also note that some items simply cannot be duplicated. (For example, Nirnroot.) -- LordDagon 04:28, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Items not appearing in inventory

Whenever i drop an item and pick it back up, it doesn't appear on my inventory. I recently did the "Permanently clone yourself glitch". They also don't appear when i pick them up from chests, how do i fix this? — Unsigned comment by 189.171.160.224 (talk) on 21 August 2008

Glitches by nature tend to be very... glitchy. If you don't want to screw up your game, don't exploit glitches. Otherwise just find another way to deal with them. Crowbar 15:14, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
With containers, sometimes objects disapear off of the list because they have too many objects within them. Possibly the same might be happening in your inventory and the objects are merely hidden. Try dropping as many objects as you can (minus quest items or things you might lose if you drop) and then picking them up one at a time. Hopefully that will remedy your problem!Zephyr5 21:23, 14 October 2008 (EDT)

Non-Glitches

Fortify Alchemy enchantments are not useless, and is not a glitch. As with other Fortify Skill enchantments, they can be used to slow down the skill from levelling up to quickly. And especially in this case; equipping yourself with Fortify Alchemy 10pt x 8 will allow you to make approximately 200 Restore Fatigue Potions without your Alchemy skill leveling up.

Benefit of preventing your Alchemy skill from levelling up is not having to worry about the weight of your potions/poisons as it is determined the first time you make it. (of the same potency, duration, and name) This is particularly useful if you want to use Alchemy as your method of acquiring funds without risking to level up by looting a cave which requires you to use your combat, magic, stealth skills. For example a level 1 character can simply fast travel to farms and vineyards create 200 Restore Fatigue Potions every 3 days and sell them. Only skills that will increase are Alchemy and Merchantile.

The problem is though, Unless you mix Garlyic and Poisoned Apple to make Restore Fatigue Potions weigh 0.05; each will weigh at minimum 0.1 and you have to make sure that each time your Alchemy skill level up; you create the next potion with 2 ingredients that weigh 0.1 each and add Garlyic and Poisoned Apple to to make them 0.05. (Although I doubt one would bother with the Garlyic and Poisoned Apples; which are both free and respawns. 1 Garlyic, just outside Vivlein, 10 Poisoned Apples, Fort Farragot.) If you create it with a Cheese Wheel and a Watermelon the first time, until your Alchemy Skill increase or you acquire better Apparatuse(s) all of your Restore Fatigue Potions will weigh 4 lb unless you rename each time you make them.

And unless you are a Breton, High Elf etc. Raising your Intelligence Attribute can taka a long time. And Alchemy is the fastest way to raise it. (Mysticism and Conjuration requires Magicka, purchasing of spells and casting them repeatedly to boost. e.g. Dispel Other/Minor Life Detection, or Summon Skelton/Bound Dagger.) And if you are a Breton, Intelligence is not the attribute you'd need to increase until you've reached level 15 or so. You'd want Endurance, Strength and Willpower/Agility. — Unsigned comment by Webdemon00 (talkcontribs) on 27 August 2008

Infinite Arrows (even Daedric) on PS3

Bows do not get worned from use with PS3 version of Oblivion. (GOTY also) And NPCs have unlimited supply of arrows.

So, simply by keeping your distance from the NPC and healing yourself when needed you can acquire as many arrows as you want. To speed up the process, you can use poisons such as Damage Strength to immobolize the NPC. And to ensure that your character won't get knocked down, crouch/sneak mode next to a wall.

The best place to do this is in Rockmilk Cave, as Black Bow Bandits are couple levels higher than the player and use leveled arrows. But most importantly they will always use Black Bows regardless of your level so, even if they are using Daedric Arrows; the damage you take is minimal. Just remember that Daedric Arrows weigh 0.25 each and if you are over-encumbered the arrows seems to dissappear the moment you are struck. (not always but approx. 75% of the time.)

Enchanted Arrows will lose their enchantments when used so Daedric is the highest quality you can acquire by using this glitch. — Unsigned comment by Webdemon00 (talkcontribs) on 27 August 2008

Sleep, Wait, Fast-Travel, Repair, and perform Alchemy next to an Enemy.

Normally attempting to sleep, wait, fast-travel, repair items or create potions or poisons when an enemy is nearby will display an error "You cannot sleep when enemies are nearby." etc.

There are many ways to get around this but most will require you to be fully undetected. Except this method.

Cast Command Creature/Humanoid Upto Level 25 for 1 sec on touch. (Longer duration + area is required when surrounded by enemies.)

Then open your journal to fast-travel, use the assigned key/button to wait, repair, create potions or poisons. Obviously you would need a bed to sleep, be outside to fast-travel but since you can wait, you will regain your health, magicka and fatigue as well as the ability to use Greater Powers.

Note; the spell will work on any creature or NPC so long as your spell effectiveness is at 100%. (Open your Journal unequip your armor, cast the spell then re-equip.) — Unsigned comment by Webdemon00 (talkcontribs) on 27 August 2008

That's not a glitch. At most it's an exploit. It won't let you do those things when you are surrounded by enemies, but by commanding them, for that one second they are not your enemies, but your allies. Therefore you can do any of those things you need or want to do. --Mike | Contrib 22:18, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

Loots Bags Seem to be Glitched

Whilsy playing on the 360, I started finding loot bags but these bags only ever contains some gold and a gray fox wanted poster. The poster can be read like a book and if dropped it stays inanimate like paintbrushes do. — Unsigned comment by Razbo (talkcontribs) on 29 August 2008

That's what Loot Bags do. You must have dropped a lot of items in the cell and the bag is taking the overspill. The glitch with the poster is fairly well-known but irrelevant since most of the time it can't be picked up. –RpehTCE 18:19, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

Problem interacting with objects

Missing Item

I believe that this is a bug. I store all my Daedric Artifacts in a specific closet in Rosethorn Hall. However, my Spell Breaker is not there. I spent a few hours looking for it, but to no success. I think that the bug is simply items in containers disappearing. I have seen something similar to this in the same floor of the same building in a different closet. I keep unenchanted Daedric items in this closet, and I have stopped putting things in it because they become "hidden", in that I have to take all of the greaves to see the platemails, things of that nature. But with my Spell Breaker, it's nowhere to be found in the closet. I grabbed all my apparel, and it still wasn't there. Any suggestions? I really doubt I'm the only one to encounter this problem. I'll check the archives after this post. I am playing on 360 with GOTY installed. — Unsigned comment by 75.172.104.24 (talk) on 5 September 2008

Are you sure it's not this glitch? –RpehTCE 01:43, 5 September 2008 (EDT)
No, I am not sure if it is that because I tried all those things, and none of it worked. I think I just simply lost them. However, I had a similar experience a short time later. I carry my Sigil Stones, and as I came across that part of my inventory on way or another, I was missing some. About 4 of my 8 to be exact, but I do not remember exactly. I even reloaded an earlier save, from about 20 minutes before, and the stones were there. 75.172.104.24 18:40, 8 September 2008 (EDT)

Frostcrag Spire Glitch's Glitch

My fiance just did the Frostcrag Spire glitch, only to have infinite amounts of sigil stones added to his inventory (from activating the main stone only once) until he managed to make it through the door, where it immediately stopped. He ended up walking (well...fast-traveling) away with 375 stones from a one-click activation, rather than the thirty he probably should have(you only get one of each, right?)

I think this little glitch ought to be added to the main article due to the fact that it made our 360 crawl SO much, we thought it was going to crash, and it probably would have if he didn't manage to get out of there. I'd never seen Oblivion lag until today.

Was it because of his (somewhat) high level (34)? Has this happened to anybody else?

LittleElfGirl 22:09, 5 September 2008 (EDT)

What happens with the Frostcrag Spire glitch, is you continue to get Sigil Stones until you leave the room. It's not a one of each deal. It's more of a how-fast-can-you-get-out-before-you're-overencumbered type thing. Darkle 21:21, 21 September 2008 (EDT)

Books with images are illegible

Hey, I'm having problem with my books. If I have a book that has a picture in it, and it's not from the original game (e.g. a mod added it) then the picture is completely messed up with random squares of colors. I have a quest that requires me to look at the images in a book to complete, but I can't read the images. Any ideas?

--Capt. Banjo 18:14, 21 September 2008 (EDT) — Unsigned comment by 209.240.89.125 (talk) on 21 September 2008

I'm assuming you're referring to a third-party mod. If this is the case, you're unlikely to find help here. I'd suggest the Oblivion Mod Wiki or a forum that focuses on Oblivion mods (or mods in general). Of course, there's always a slight chance that someone on here will have experienced the trouble you're having and can help, but you're more likely to find assistance on a site that focuses on mods. --GuildKnightTalk2me 20:47, 21 September 2008 (EDT)
This is probably caused by your texture settings. Most user mods that add images to books require the highest texture setting for them to be legible (bad mipmaps may be to blame, but I don't know for sure). Hopefully this helps anyone else who stumbles across this page. 68.46.219.84 17:24, 13 December 2008 (EST)

<Missing Name> Item?

I'm on X-Box platform (without live). I'm not sure if this glitch is fixed by patches or not. So, I was pickpocketing at the mages guild, and I pickpocket "Delphine Jend". In her inventory she has gold and "<Missing Name>" item. Well i take the "<Missing Name>" item to see what it was. In my opinion, it should be parchment. It looks like a light greenish square paper. Every time I try to drop it though, it crashes my game and tells me to "Clean disk with a peice of soft cloth" It's not a big deal to me because i have a saved game without the "<Missing Name>", but if I didn't save it after a large deal of gaming it would be concerning. If someone could verify this on other platforms I'd be greatly appreciative. Maybe it is just my game, or maybe not. I havent seen any other things on the glitches pages describing it, so I figured I'd ask. Artistc chic 00:45, 22 September 2008 (EDT)Artistc_chic

Luckily this is still sort of an open discussion.
I recently used the console (so I'm on the PC;)) to duplicate some minotaurs in the Arena, and a lot of them had these Missing Name items. I saved my game and took one off a corpse.
After I dropped it my game didn't crash. Just for those who are interested, the things, when dropped, are large white triangles with, if I remember correctly, yellow exclamation mark. Not sure what to do with the info as I seem to be the only one so far to 'see' these things on the ground, but I just thought I'd mention it. What is possible is that you spawned a few test Minotaurs who had such items. The yellow exclamation marks are a way for the game to handle objects that have no model info, instead of showing nothing at all, it shows this. --Timenn < talk > 10:27, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Minor note on the 'Spasm Glitch'

I recently added the spell 'Master Marksman Paralysis' (A 10sec paralyse on self for novice illusion) using the console and just for fun I cast it just after grabbing the sigil stone in the Oblivion world of the quest 'Bruma Gate' I think what happens then is perhaps what the npc you paralyse would see. Namely: I was paralysed, was teleported back to just outside Bruma en immediately another loading screen showed up, one that didn't start loading. In other words, my game crashed.80.57.13.185 19:00, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

Hidden Tomb Easter Egg?

Ok... Awhile ago I was in the skingrad castle court yard and figured out that it is possible to climb out of the level, much like the glitchs described on this site. This can be done with nothing special except for a high enough acrobatics attribute. Well anyway, upon entering the courtyard from outside, I turned left towards the raised half of the courtyard. There is a staircase on the far wall and upon climbing the railing, I found it possible to jump onto the roof. I then realized that I could get out of the level(also described in the glitchs). Turning left as soon as you are on the roof shows a series of roofs. Taking these towards the far wall(the one to your right upon entering), and looking out of the city and down, I noticed what seems to be a hidden tunnel/passage with a door at the end. It is possible to land on top of this tunnel and to access the door at the far end by dropping off the end of the tunnel backwards and quickly hitting the enter button. Inside the door there is an altar of sorts with a woman on top. I do not recall her name but I do remember that she shares last names with the count of Skingrad. She has a health bar and can be killed, but she does not wake up(if she is indeed sleeping)... It should also be noted that I am on the 360... So my question is, what goes on here? Weird stagger thing...

This is the second time I've had this happen, on Xbox. I end up with what I assume is a glitch, causing me (or the enemy) to stagger 100% of the time when hit, as long as the target in question is in combat mode. Additionally, during this time, my helmet is the only piece of armor that takes any damage, and the enemy's attack power seems to be significantly reduced. Restarting the system seems to solve it. Anyone know what's causing this? — Unsigned comment by 24.174.163.173 (talk) on 25 September 2008

Dropping an Item and not being able to pick it back up

I had recently completed the Knights of the Nine quest on the PS3. I was back at the main base area and I was moving stuff around when I took off a pair of my pants (Reflect Magic X). They appeared on the table in front of me, however they looked as if they were still being worn, I.E. they were not folded up on the table. Now it will not let me pick them back up or anything. Everything passes right through them as if they are not there. I hadn't saved in a while to loading was not an option and I have no idea how to get them back and I would really like to as they are nice pants. Anyone have any idea or have you heard of this before? — Unsigned comment by Wolves1226 (talkcontribs) on 13 October 2008

Which item was it specifically? There are issues with a certain few items. Normally a wearable item has two models, one as it appears on you, the other for as it appears when dropped. What happened is that one model was used for both cases, which is a bug. You will unable to pick the item up again, so reloading is the only (practical) solution on getting the item back. --Timenn < talk > 08:48, 14 October 2008 (EDT)

On Soul Gems and duplicating...

I have recently bought The PS3 GOTY version of this game and would like to get a number of filled soul gems (grand) but they are very rare and I can't make them myself. There are many people (YouTube and the like) who refer to it but it doesn't seem to work on mine. Is it just the platform of the game (added to the list of un-dupable items like, for example, wrist irons) or am I doing something wrong? — Unsigned comment by 79.67.109.1 (talk) on 13 October 2008

Join the Mages Guild. In the main building of the Arcane University, there's a display case with a Grand Soul Gem. You can use that. There are also Grand Soul Gems (I think), in some of the other Guild Halls. --Darkle ~ Talk 13:59, 13 October 2008 (EDT)
I already have them - they only appear once. — Unsigned comment by 79.67.109.1 (talk) on 15 October 2008
Try selling them and buying them back. --Darkle ~ Talk 08:19, 16 October 2008 (EDT)

On "Permanent Quest Item Effects" glitch:

Hi. On the bug/exploit page, under this glitch description, it states that "This effect is truly permanant, it cannot be undone except by console commands." Does anyone actually know how to use the console to remove the effects from items? I've been pining for a way to actually remove the permanantly stuck effect of the Necromancer's Amulet and Ring of the Vipereye (highest leveled versions) from my favorite character for two years now, and have never found a way. -Hopeful request from an Oblivion player! — Unsigned comment by 64.35.200.148 (talk) on 18 October 2008

The Ring of the Vipereye page has detailed instructions, and you'll to use a similar method for the amulet. –RpehTCE 02:16, 18 October 2008 (EDT)

You've saved me. =) Two suggestions: Could perhaps the existence of the "player.dispel" console command be added to that glitch's entry on the glitch page? Rather than saying "it cannot be undone except by console commands.", could it instead state "this effect can only be undone with the console command player.dispel (enchantment id)"? Also, in the master list of console commands, I did not see the "dispel" command. Could that be added there? Thanks again for your help, I was able to fix the problem. It had been plaguing me for ages. — Unsigned comment by 64.35.200.148 (talk) on 19 October 2008

Dorian's House Glitch

When I kill Dorian, and press A to take the money, it doesn't stay there. It disapears. I'm following the instructions given. Any help? — Unsigned comment by 58.168.203.227 (talk) on 26 October 2008

You have probably installed the patch. You'll just have to play the game properly instead of trying to cheat. –RpehTCE 03:50, 26 October 2008 (EDT)
No, if you paralyze him while 100% chameleon then pickpocket him while he's down you can still exploit the glitch--Blktiger0 15:48, 6 November 2008 (EST)

Close Up Map Screen Goes Blank

At times, I'll be wandering around in a dungeon, and want to check my map screen. So, I press "B" to open the menu, and find my way to the map screen. Unfortunately, it is completely blank, except for the little golden arrow that shows the player's location and orientation. This is the close up map screen I'm talking about; the world map is unaffected.

It doesn't make the game unplayable, and it can be cured by saving and reloading, but it happens to me often enough to be quite annoying. I'm playing on an XBox 360. I can't see how I could do anything to cure it, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them. Honeybunch 18:56, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

Surlie Brothers' Vineyards Sign

I noticed that you can "Activate" the Surlie Brothers' Vineyards Sign. Does anyone know why?--Blktiger0 15:55, 6 November 2008 (EST)

If you mean you press the "activate" and nothing happens, most, if not all signs do this. Tons of things have no purpose to be activated and yet.. they can. The designers probably just didn't want to make it scenery-Drake3555 23:14, 10 November 2008 (EST) (sorry if I'm being condescending, I have a problem with it)

Quick question about permanent bound items

If i put permanent bound items onto a essential NPC follower, will the armor break and will i have to repeat the whole thing? — Unsigned comment by 76.73.189.89 (talk) on 27 November 2008

Eventually, yes. The armor is pretty strong though so it will take some time to happen. –RpehTCE 05:43, 29 November 2008 (EST)
