Actually, I believe the previous version of the page was correct. Goldbrand does more base damage because while its physical damage is only 25, it also deals 22 points of fire damage. –Eshe^talk 00:50, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Actually, base weapon damage doesn't include damage due to magical enchantments. click on the link in the page for damage; base weapon damage is actually a variable in damage calculation, and doesn't include any damage from the weapons enchantments.
