[edit] Light Armor?

When I talked to Ocato (did I spell it right?) I didn't get a choice between light or heavy. I have Oblivion on 360 so I can't use any console commands. Thunderhorse 09:04, 15 February 2007 (EST)

Nope, you never get a choice between light and heavy. At the moment when it gives you the quest update that your armor is ready it compares your Light Armor and Heavy Armor skill levels and gives you the armor that you're more skilled in (if your two skills are equal it gives you heavy armor). --Nephele 02:04, 16 February 2007 (EST)
I see. I did get the light armor, but I think that it should say what kind it is instead of just "Imperial Dragon Gauntlets". Thunderhorse 06:46, 16 February 2007 (EST)

On a related note, I finished the quest, and I was definitely extremely proficient in light armour. Lo and behold, they gave me heavy armour. Typical. Don't know what happened there. --61.69.198.98 07:01, 27 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] Appearance

Does the light Armour and the Heavy Armour look the same? Please let me know!!? I am just about to complete main quest! Thanks -- Jayus Rokhola

As far as I can tell, yes, the appearance of all items is the same for the light armour and heavy armour versions. --NepheleTalk 03:15, 10 November 2007 (EST)

[edit] The end?

So if I have already done all the side quests and guild quests I care to do, does that mean there's nothing left for me to do after this quest? --Mole126 12:35, 09 February 2008 (EST)

You can play again with a different character or a harder difficulty setting. If you're playing on the PC you can install some mods and try those. You can explore Cyrodiil. No, it's not over. At the risk of sounding corny, this is just the beginning! –RpehTCE 14:16, 9 February 2008 (EST)

[edit] help

[[Oblivion:|Oblivion:]]i completed the main quest and NPC's are saying i look just like my statue do i realy have one? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.87.236.164 (talkcontribs).

Yes, go to Bruma and you'll found it. It appears after the Save Bruma quest. Michaeldsuarez (talk· contribs· email) 18:13, 8 March 2008 (EST)

[edit] Help

The armor is leveled item, but i cant find it in the leveled items list.

Please help! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pedrado (talkcontribs) on 23 August 2008.

If you read the article you'll see that there's this link that takes you to the page about the armor. –RpehTCE 11:44, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
Yes but thats not the LEVELED list!
It's just telling me the armor! I want a list of lvl i must to be to get the armor.
Example:
[2-7]: Cuirass Armor Rating : 12.3etc...
[8-12]: Cuirass etc...
[2-7] Boots Armor Rating: etc...
The armor is NOT leveled. That link gives you the information on the only copy you will ever receive. –RpehTCE 15:36, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
IT is. Im sure. I saw it on CS.
Bah nevermind! Ill check it out on CS.

It is definitely not leveled. There is one set of ids, which are on the article, which give you one set of armor. I'm sure there are minor errors on UESP but we're good enough not to miss an entire set of leveled enchantments. –RpehTCE 04:42, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Shield?

When you hover your mouse over reward (in "Receive your reward for saving the world"), Imperial Dragon Armor (in "Reward: Imperial Dragon Armor" ), and Imperial Dragon Armor (in "The Imperial Dragon Armor is an overall mediocre reward...") it says in the little box "Oblivion:Imperial Dragon Shield" not, "Oblivion:Imperial Dragon Armor". I tried fixing all three but then they became regular text instead of links. So I changed them back. Can someone please fix this? It could mislead people to believe there is a shield also. (Note: I didn't save after I changed them, I clicked show preview so you won't find the changes in history)--Albinobear43 19:22, 2 September 2008 (EDT)

I changed them so that the hover text says "Oblivion:Unique Items" which is the name of the page you're sent to. Not a perfect solution, I guess, but better than the misleading text that was there before. --GuildKnightTalk2me 21:51, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
Thanks--Albinobear43 22:33, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Help?

Ive waited well over two weeks and I never got a popup saying the armor is ready, and ive checked the armory, its not there. Are there any bugs that could trigger this? Thanks in advance!

Alpha CM 20:53, 14 September 2008 (EDT)

Hah! As soon as I post this I got the popup and i have my armor! Alpha CM 20:56, 14 September 2008 (EDT)

Same thing happened to me--I waited longer than a full month without getting it, but when I left the game on unpaused for a couple minutes the popup eventually triggered. Don't know what's up with that. Shashakiro 04:49, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] i dont get a choice?

I'm playing on PS3 game of the year and i never get a choice of which type i get, the article states that i get a choice however, Does the GOTY not give you a choice or is the article wrong? I have played it at least 10 times through and never got a choice.--Repeater 13:44, 18 April 2009 (EDT)

I've been pretty skeptical of that comment since it was added. Most "differences" that have been reported for the PS3 version have turned out to be incorrect (the only notable exception being the Vampire Cure quest). Furthermore, there's no reason why the developers would have changed the game scripts before releasing the game on the PS3, especially not for something as minor and non-broken as the version of armor you receive. The main reason why many PS3-specific comments get left on the articles is that most of the site's patrollers don't have the PS3 version, so we can't test the statements. Given that you've provided far more explanation than the person who originally posted the comment, I'm deleting it from the article. If any other PS3 players have had a different experience, I'd suggest discussing it here until everyone who plays on the PS3 can reach an agreement about what is or is not true -- and provide some hard evidence that the PS3 really does behave differently than the other games. --NepheleTalk 15:07, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
By "choosing", I'm assuming that you're looking for some dialogue option that allows you to actively choose between a Light Armor or Heavy Armor version of the suit. You don't get that choice, and no one else does, either. The only way any of us "choose" the version is by taking note of which skill on our character is higher: Light Armor or Heavy Armor. —Dark Spark 18:22, 18 April 2009 (EDT)

ok thanks guys.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Repeater (talkcontribs) on April 19 2009.

[edit] Female Characters

It says near the end of the page that there is no female model for the armor, but it can be added in VIA mods. So, what exactly does this mean for the female characters? AciD_013 16:06, 25 April 2009 (EDT)

It means that you have to find the mod (if you can), download the mod (if you can), make sure you actually like the look generated by the mod (if you can). Those variables will make for some rather inconsistent results between readers. —Dark Spark 16:46, 26 April 2009 (EDT)
Female characters can still wear the armor with no problems. It just means that their bodies look exactly the same as a male character whilst wearing it. –RpehTCE 09:47, 30 April 2009 (EDT)
Wow, that seems kinda odd for Bethsoft to have overlooked. That is, if it is at all noticable. AciD_013 18:43, 09 May 2009 (EDT)

[edit] Random Question

If this is your great 'reward', then why is it really bad armor, except for the fact that it looks cool? --Oblivion nerd 03:47, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

It was either a developer oversight, or they assumed that players would finish the Main Quest fairly quickly. Or probably both. --Darth NANAME 03:52, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, before I read it on here, I thought my game was glitched. I got the Light Armor version, and I believe it is equivalent to the quality of Fur or Chain mail. --Oblivion nerd 04:01, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
But it does signify you as THE CHAMPION AS CYRODILL!, no one else in the world has it.--Arch-Mage Matt 18:01, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Boosts

If you boost your heavy armor skill above your light armor skill using enchantments, will you get the heavy armor version or the light armor version if without the boosts your light armor skill is higher?
