Hey, just wondering where i can find some elven cuirass. My char. is lvl 31 and its actually kinda hard to find the elven cuirass. If anyone knows of where to obtain it, id be greatful. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.121.100.100 (talkcontribs).

I've added some information to the article on where to find one. At level 31 you should easily be able to find some bandits who are wearing one: nearly every bandit will have a 50% chance of being equipped with one. --NepheleTalk 18:40, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

I wonder if they become more difficult to find after you accept this quest. I have come accross them (Elven Cuirass) since about level 15 through most of my encounters with bandits. But now that I have accepted the quest, the bandits I encounter are wearing glass or mithril. But if you want to come face to face with some bandits I would suggest visiting campsites (quick-travel if you prefer). They are all over those places.--Quix 10:53, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

Whether or not elven cuirasses appear is determined by random item generation based on leveled lists. This is a hard-wired feature of the game and as such has basically no way of being influenced by quest-related variables such as whether or not you have accepted a quest. And the chances of finding elven armor will only go up at higher levels. At level 15, any piece of light armor has a one in three chance of being elven. At levels 20 and higher, it becomes a one in two chance. --NepheleTalk 11:47, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

OIC, I noticed that the 'Cuirass of Anu's Blessing' (though it looked elven) was not accepted by J'bari, for the advanced armorer training. I thought it would since he touched on it 'not mattering wether it be enchanted or not'.Quix 16:13, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

The Cuirass of Anu's Blessing is an Elven Cuirass but an enchanted one. J'bari actually says "I need a new Elven cuirass. Nothing fancy, nothing enchanted. Just a decent piece of armor. You get that for me, and I'll train you. That's the deal." (my emphasis) and that's why he doesn't accept it. The technical reason is that as far as the game is concerned, the only relationship between the C of A's B and an Elven Cuirass is the icon - everything internal is different. --RpehTCE 16:35, 1 November 2007 (EDT)
