[edit] unknown error
- There is a error with his page which makes the NPC info not display properly. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Obliv4PS3 (talk • contribs).

- The problem was that you deleted the
}}braces at the end of the NPC summary with one of your edits. If you have a problem like this, the best thing to do is check the page history (use the "history" tab at the top of the page). You can compare the last two versions and see what exactly was changed. Or you can just revert the page to the last working version. --NepheleTalk 23:08, 6 July 2007 (EDT)- I don't know how I could have deleted something when I was only adding content but I will see if I did.--Most Honored Listener 23:33, 6 July 2007 (EDT)
- ok I checked and I don't see a single thing different other than the content I added which was " ;[[Oblivion:Black Hand|Black Hand]"

- This is the edit where you deleted them, which is not coincidentally, the point at which the problem first appeared. I've fixed the problem; not that I agree with the addition of Black Hand to the faction box, but we might as well have a functioning page while this issue gets decided. --NepheleTalk 23:53, 6 July 2007 (EDT)

I know we are on it right now but isn't the creatures and undead kind of unneeded information? I fail to see how it can really apply at all--Most Honored Listener 01:04, 7 July 2007 (EDT)
- Well, for one thing it means that creatures and undead will not attack him. So if you could get the Dark Guardians in Fort Farragut to chase you into Lucien's room, they would not attack him. (An example of the reverse is Seridur who is not a member of the undead faction or even the vampire faction, although he probably was meant to be. As a result, Seridur can be, and has been, killed by the undead in Memorial Cave). --NepheleTalk 01:18, 7 July 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Race Specification
Is Lucien Lachance really an Imperial? I mean, he has a French name like most Bretons. I don't have the construction set, but if it said Imperial, it would seem an inaccuracy.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.245.135.154 (talk • contribs).
- Yes, Lucien is really an Imperial. I just checked the Construction Set to verify it. --Eshe 00:43, 24 August 2007 (EDT)
- Maybe he is an Imperial born to Imperial & Breton parents. Puddle 21:58 April 19, 2008
[edit] essential
Who is the other NPC that becomes essential during the game?--Most Honored Listener 00:43, 19 August 2007 (EDT)
- At the least, Varulae (note, for example, that in Recent Changes the three edits I made immediately before editing this page were all related to Varulae and her essential status). I haven't spent any time searching to see if there are others, too. --NepheleTalk 00:51, 19 August 2007 (EDT)
[edit] Scripted Death
Do you think his death in the storyline would be counted as an actual game death or rather he is just removed from the game and replaced with an object marked under his name? Volanaro 09:37, 10 February 2008 (EST)
- I think it's fair enough to say that it's a scripted death. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 10:03, 10 February 2008 (EST)
- OK thanks Volanaro 10:08, 10 February 2008 (EST)
[edit] UNDEAD??
Does Turn Undead work on this guy? --Dagoth Ur, Mad God 03:47, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
- No, because he's not a creature. The thing that determines whether Turn Undead will work is not what factions the target is in, but whether they are listed as type Undead in their creature settings. NPCs do not have such a setting, so no NPC can ever be affected by Turn Undead. I think they just put him in the faction to keep him from being attacked by undead creatures if he happens to wake you up in a hostile location. (Note that he's also in the "Creatures" faction, for the same reason.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 18:16, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Ok, hold on
If Lucien Lachance is voiced by Wes Johnson, and Wes Johnson voices Imperial males, and Lucien is an Imperial male, why does it need to be on here that he is voiced by Wes Johnson? -Dan 9410 11:08, 25 May 2008 (EDT)
- I'd say the voice he uses is different enough from the typical Imperial male to be worth noting. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 12:01, 25 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Previous Speaker?
Does anyone know who Lucien Lachance replaced as the speaker for the Cheydinhal sanctuary? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.9.82.249 (talk • contribs).
- It's never mentioned in the game or dialogue, so I think I can answer "no" on behalf of everyone! –Rpeh•T•C•E• 03:20, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
Vicente Valteirei says that when he first joined the Brotherhood the Cheydinhal Sanctuary was led by a female Speaker, and that Lucien got her job when she was killed on a mission. Nothing elde is known about her. Arquen replaces Lachance as Cheydinhal speaker though. - 92.16.222.252 04:23, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
