[edit] Page Layout
Why can't we just use the same approach used at Oblivion:Waterfront District Map for the rest of these map pages? That has already been tested in IE, firefox, and mozilla, and works in all cases. Using <table> and <td> tags in wiki is strongly discouraged, and in fact I'm surprised that wiki is even recognizing them. --Nephele 15:34, 12 October 2006 (EDT)
- Thanks, Lurlock. Just to be sure, I retested this page in three different browsers, and it appears correctly in all cases (in particular the column of numbers is visible). --Nephele 15:41, 12 October 2006 (EDT)
- Yeah, I figured it out eventually. I was just looking at Oblivion:Anvil Map, and for some reason that worked, so I was trying to figure out what that's doing differently that makes it not screw up, and one thing was the html tags it had. Just an experiment. Didn't realize we already had a method that worked on all browsers until I saw your edit in the history. Did them all that way now. --TheRealLurlock 15:43, 12 October 2006 (EDT)
- I think I know the difference. I tried implementing the same changes on Oblivion:Anvil Map, and it doesn't work there. (The key ends up below the image instead of beside it.) Difference? It uses an image stored off-site, instead of locally. For some reason, that requires different formatting to do the same thing, it seems. --TheRealLurlock 15:48, 12 October 2006 (EDT)
- Yep, there's no way (at least not that I know of) to position an offsite image; with the local maps, we're using "|left" to get them to float on the left side of the page, which then allows the text to be shown next to the image. Which does raise the question of whether we should localize some of those images that we're not hosting just because image upload used to be broken. I'd kind of like to get rid of those <table> tags if possible... double checking at wikimedia they are currently supported, but only to a limited extent. --Nephele 16:02, 12 October 2006 (EDT)
- Well, once we get around this thumbnail refresh problem, my Image:OB-Map-Anvil.jpg should make Oblivion:Anvil Map obsolete. I suppose both versions could be kept around, just to give people a choice. If you can contact the person that made those original city maps, we can probably get permission to localize them. Or we could just do it anyhow, and if he ever comes back and complains, we can just say "hey, it's a wiki, anything you post is fair game, those are the rules", or just take them down and use mine instead if he really puts up a fuss. --TheRealLurlock 17:26, 12 October 2006 (EDT)

[edit] Another Shop
In my game, on the other side of main ingredient htere is a shop. I can't show you the exact location, but it is sort of in between the feed bag and red diamond jewelery, and behind them, so in the same sort of place as the main ingredient, but on the other side. If you don't understand where i mean, just tell me. It is involved in a quest but i can't find hints for it anywhere. However i do not know whether it came with a mod because i have hundred's, and i don't want to rick getting rid of them all couse it might mess up my game, so could someone go to the place i have described, and see if there is a shop, pretty pretty please? Thank you, Emma
- Almost certain it's a mod, but just in case, can you at least tell us the name of the shop? These maps use the locations straight out of the editor, so they should be fairly accurate. --TheRealLurlock 09:33, 3 November 2006 (EST)
