[edit] Ring of Aegis/Ring of Shield
when I completed the quest, the ring was called Ring of Shield (or something like that.) I noticed because it was called "Ring of Aegis" in my journal, but Ring of Shield in my inventory. Same stats though, shield 18% —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.22.42.204 (talk • contribs).
- I can't see any reason why the names listed in the table would be wrong. Any chance you could provide a bit more in the way of details? --NepheleTalk 00:13, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
- The names aren't wrong per say. They are what is awarded by the quest. The confusion about the item's name comes from the fact that this user is probably using the "Quest Award Levelling" or "Quest Award Leveller" modification. The latter is based on the former and the former fixes a bug in the levelled items list. To quote the readme file included with Quest Award Levelling 1.6:
- "Level upgrades for Shield Ring changed based on leveled item list that awards it and fixed error in original leveled list (the list was awarding EnchRingShieldCopper, EnchRingShieldCopperPearl, EnchRingShieldCopperTopaz but the Quest NPC, Aryarie, had FGD04ShieldRing10 in her inventory. Yet the quest dialog item that gives the reward was removing the non-existent level list item from the NPC and awarding an item from that level list to the player.

- The original FGD04ShieldRing10, FGD04ShieldRing20, FGD04ShieldRing30 were all the same and not even enchanted, nor were they ever awarded to the player. They have been changed to have the same properties as the generic EnchRingShieldCopperx counterparts that were originally in the level list so that it will upgrade per player level. The items in the level list have been changed from the generics to the versions of the Shield Ring."
- Not sure what should be done with this, though given the popularity of the leveller mods and the fact that on several occasions the wiki already refers to bugs fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, it might be a good idea to put this into either the Notes or Bugs section. --84.24.109.186 10:43, 6 June 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Imp Galls
Is there something wrong with the quest? Inside the cave dungeon, I find a ton of 'Mystical' and 'Crazed' imps, that drop Mystical and Crazed Imp Galls, but I have 11 of Mystical Imp Galls and 12 of Crazed Imp Galls, but Aryarie says that I still don't have the imp galls. This is on PC, btw. I'm just gonna use the console to get imp galls, but I'm just asking if I'm doing anything wrong.--74.122.192.40 22:11, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
- You must be using some type of mod because "mystical imps" and "crazed imps" do not exist in the vanilla version of the game. And Aryarie would only recognize the standard imp galls that exist in the vanilla version of the game (i.e. would only recognize items with the FormID 2EE72). It doesn't sound to me like there's a problem with the quest. Your problem is that you've installed a mod that breaks the quest. --NepheleTalk 22:24, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
- These are monsters found with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
[edit] Two Rings
I don't know if this is a glitch or what, but I received two 18% rings when I completed this quest at level 14. Unfortunately, the game will only let me equip one at a time.
