Lore talk:Mysterium Xarxes

Wow, somebody actually translated that nonsense? Was quite an interesting read.

- Wouldn't call it nonsense, actualy makes quite a lot of sense if you ask me. Volanaro 06:44, 8 January 2008 (EST)
[edit] Using Mysterium Xarxes
Is there a possible way to get the Mysterium Xarxes back? And is it a Daedric artifact? (This is on Xbox 360) Added by: Cloud strife
- (question was moved here after originally being posted at UESPWiki:Reference Desk)
- No, it's not an item that is given back to the player. When it is taken from your inventory, it is removed from the game (
player.removeitem). A copy appears at that point in Cloud Ruler Temple but it is actually a fake copy and even that copy is disabled at the end of the main quest. --NepheleTalk 17:38, 31 December 2007 (EST)- That sucks! Someone should make a patch to allow you to drop quest items. So you could just duplicate the item and then use the other copy of the quest item to complete the quest. And is the Mystierium Xarxes a Daedric Artifact? 16:33, 1 January 2008 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.48.104.23 (talk • contribs).
- If you're on the PC you can use the SetQuestObject command to allow you to drop quest objects. As for it being a Daedric Artifact... well it's "supposedly" written by Mehrunes Dagon so I'd say "Possibly". —Rpeh•T•C•E• 05:29, 1 January 2008 (EST)

[edit] Translation
Should the translation be at the bottom of the page??? i'd be happy to do it just wondering if it would be ok--Platypodge 08:52, 16 January 2008 (EST)
- If you have something to contribute about the translation that differs from what is already stated at TIL, then perhaps adding it would be appropriate. But simply copying all or part of the TIL article to UESP is not OK, because that would be plagiarism. The existing link to the TIL article seems to me like the best way to provide readers with complete information on the text's translation. --NepheleTalk 12:38, 16 January 2008 (EST)
Relating information from another site is not plagiarism unless it's copied word for word. He didn't write a short story, he just translated what was in the game. 66.167.32.222 05:51, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
- No it's still plaigirism. Take "Two roads diverged in one." turn it into "Two paths turned into one." It's still plaigirism.-Puddle Talk+Contribs. 09:20, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
- Actually plagiarism is the act of copying someones work and presenting it as your own work. As long as you give credit to the source, no one can claim plagiarism. Laziness perhaps. 68.161.192.253 12:55, 8 February 2009 (EST)
Isn't "When I walk The Earth again" incorrect in regards to lore? Shouldn't it be "When I walk Nirn again"? --Qeros 14:08, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
- Jauffre and others make references to earth and the earth because they are speaking english. It's ok the way it is.24.31.156.165 16:56, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
-
- It isn't incorrect if you consider one definition of earth; "a: areas of land as distinguished from sea and air b: the solid footing formed of soil : ground". --GuildKnightTalk2me 18:14, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

- But mostly it is overlooked for the sake of expediency and cadence in prose. (Which this isn't but there is enough precedent to take the easy way)24.31.156.165 18:23, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
