[edit] +5 bonus to Restoration a requirement?
I didn't think so. Edited the sentence "Also, they have a +5 to Restoration, making them able to become Battlemages and other similar classes." This should make some more sense. I still have my doubts about this remark, though, as there is no limitation in the selection of classes in Oblivion. But removing it would go a bit too far, as there already is very little information on this page. 77.161.184.122 18:08, 5 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Battlemages?
I know it depends on how your character levels up, but do Nords make good battlemages? They start with low intelligence, and male Nords have low willpower. This makes them weak spellcasters at earlier levels until you gain attribute bonuses on levelling or fortify attribute gear. --TheTamrielTerror 10:24, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- This is just my opinion, but female Nords can make decent battlemages, and better spellswords. The low starting intelligence can be countered by selecting the mage birthsign, and you can use alchemy as a minor skill to get your +5 intelligence bonus at level-up. Once they get going, the combination of good magic skills with good blade skills and heavy armor makes them virtually unstoppable.
- Male Nords, on the other hand, have too low willpower to be anything more than 'functional' as warrior/mages. --Gaebrial 02:26, 20 June 2008 (EDT)
