This edit was made by User:Gunshot1. For future reference, article edits must not be in the first-person (UESPWiki:Style_Guide#No_First_Person). Due to the anecdotal nature of the edit, I decided to repost it in this talk page rather than rewriting it.

"Note: The hood DID show up as stolen when taken using the reverse-pickpocket glitch with a permanent (bound helmet). I was able to create an unstolen item though using the same glitch to steal a second item from Gaston Surilie. With both in my inventory, I equipped one and the one that I did not equip lost its 'stolen' status. I then used the duplication glitch using scrolls to drop and copy the unstolen item and they all lost their 'stolen' status. If you don't want to use the duplication glitch, I suspect you can just drop one or other of the hoods to remove the 'stolen' status on one of the hoods."
