Oblivion talk:The Night Mother
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
The text states that she bore five children with sithis, but in the tomb there are the skeletons of one adult (presumably her) and four children's skeletons. Is this a mistake or is their extra information on this missing fifth child? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.202.196.44 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Non-Essential?
Has anyone tried killing the Night Mother after she becomes non-essential? I thought it might be worth a note to know what happens. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darkguyhades (talk • contribs).
- An interesting question, mainly because in my attempt to answer it, I can only come up with another question in its place. Playtesting, I made it to "Honor Thy Mother" and then tried to attack the Night Mother once the traitor was revealed. The Night Mother? Not only was she still marked Essential at this point, she was made untouchable as well. So, the new question is: why does the article lead readers to believe she is non-Essential when it is impossible to even harm her, much less kill her? —Dark Spark 02:44, 4 May 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Truely is 1?
In morrowind, theres a quest to kill the so called 'Night mother' correct? Could it be possible that when she is killed, she was buried under the Lucky old Lady, and Sithis made her a spirit, which is now the "unholy matron"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lucky the Cat Guy (talk • contribs) on 6 August 2008.
- That happens in 3E 427, which is just six years before the Oblivion Crisis. The Night Mother talks about her "ancient slumber", which would seem to indicate a rather longer sleep. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 03:55, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
- Besides, in the CS the Night Mother shows up as a dark elf, not as an imperial. R.
