I have Shadowhunt with a Turn Undead up to level 22 enchantment. As far as I understand, this means it should turn any undead creature below level 22. Meaning it should only not work on Lichs and Gloom Wraiths. It doesn't seem to work on anything. Is this a glitch or am I missing something? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.167.144.62 (talkcontribs).

The Turn Undead enchantment on Shadowhunt has a 0 second duration, see the discussion at Oblivion_Talk:Leveled Items#Shadowhunt. Although it has not yet been definitively tested, it is likely that zero duration effects do absolutely nothing. Your experience provides some more evidence to suport that theory. --NepheleTalk 11:26, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Redundantly Repetitive, no?

The following note...

  • If you are planning to use this spell to train, do not use it on townsfolk. It is considered a hostile spell and an assault. Instead, summon an undead of your own and cast this spell upon it to train.

...is a little interesting. Turn Undead is a Conjuration spell, so is the Summon spell you'd need in order to provide an appropriate target for the training. Why not focus on casting a simple Summon spell repeatedly to gain the same effect? —Dark Spark 00:35, 22 October 2008 (EDT)

The training part is, yes. I'd say it's worth mentioning that the spell is hostile though. –RpehTCE 00:56, 22 October 2008 (EDT)
Turn Undead actually has a lower cast cost than Summoning spells, which may make the Summon+Turn combo more efficient than just repeated summoning? 76.192.99.0 02:31, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
