I was in Bravil Chapel Undercroft after the desecration. It has some dark areas at that point so I equipped Fin Gleam and at that point the Sanctified Dead all agroed on me. Very puzzling as I never pulled my weapon.

Rockshater[edit]

The Rockshater is unique item too, I think it should be in this list...

Rockshatter is a leveled item, and thus is covered on Leveled Items, as well as it's own article at Rockshatter. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:24, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Ring Of Sunfire[edit]

How is the ring of sunfire missing? — Unsigned comment by 124.176.113.142 (talk)

It isn't. We class it as an artifact because of its unique appearance so it goes on the Artifacts page. Full details are on its own page. –RpehTCE 09:24, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Tiber septim[edit]

Where would the armour from the blood of the divines quest fit?

To sell or not to sell[edit]

I'm level 16 and I got the Imperial Dragon Heavy Armor. To me, it seems like a small fortune. It also encumbers me a fair bit, and I'm going to go try to get some Ebony Armor, but I don't want to throw away my 100% Chameleon Dwarven Armor (stupid of me, yeah, it was the armor I was using). Should I sell the Imperial Dragon Armor? And if I should, which merchant should I sell it to (My Mercantile is 9, lol)? Zander 03:31, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

We can't really decide that for you. The armor is generally considered to be of bad quality, but it's unique, you might want to keep it you like to collect things. --Timenn < talk > 03:48, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
Well, considering three factors:

1. The armor is of no significance to me.

2. I had 40 for an armor rating, and now I have 19.

3. One of the vampires in Bloodcrust Cavern dropped an Ebony Cuirass...

I'm gonna sell it at the Best Defense, I don't know any other stores. Thanks for the help. Zander 06:06, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

Bands of Kwang Lao[edit]

The name weirdly resembles the name of Kung Lao, and the bonus to H2H would fit with Kung Lao being a Shaolin Monk. 70.81.211.191 22:42, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Is there any way to remove the stolen tag from this item? Please note that as a 360 user, I am unable to access the console. -Nesskid 21:49, 21 January 2009 (EST)
Fence them. That's the only way. –RpehTCE 03:16, 24 January 2009 (EST)

Knight of Order Armor[edit]

Why isn't this included? I don't know the item code for it, but I found it in the test cell WarehouseArmor. It's one item, but when equipped, it equips the entire Knight of Order armor on the player. I've got it on a Mannequin in my ArmoryLab right now. DaedryonTCE 18:38, 27 December 2008 (EST)

Actually, I have Goghiel's Armor Resource Mod installed, so it might be the mod that is giving me the Knight of Order armor. The armor, when dropped, resembles a very intricate potion bottle with red stuff inside. Can anyone confirm? DaedryonTCE 19:06, 27 December 2008 (EST)
Seems I was wrong. It's not Goghiels Mod. Knight of Order armor is actually in the game. There's also 4 different PonderItems, some weird jumbled up text named items, and some no-icon potions, simply named after what spell the effect is from, such as "Mysticism Potion", "Restoration Potion". Is there a command in the console, or something, that will allow me to simply click an item and view it's item code so I can player.additem it? DaedryonTCE 00:12, 28 December 2008 (EST)

Fin Gleam Inscription?[edit]

There appears to be some Daedric runes (or some Oblivion language) on Fin Gleam. I'm not sure if this also appears on all Glass Armor, but does anyone know what it says? -Nesskid 21:52, 21 January 2009 (EST)

I can't see anything myself. If you mean the little bits of metal on the sides, I think it's just coincidence that it vaguely resembles daedric lettering. Fin Gleam uses the same models as the standard glass helmet, BTW. –RpehTCE 03:20, 24 January 2009 (EST)
Yeah, I asked Timmeh to look at it, and I looked at it again on my game. It's the little gems on it I mistook for letters. –Nesskid 20:35, 24 January 2009 (EST)

Bow of Infliction[edit]

I just got this weapon in my game and it lists the damage as 3, not 18. Is this a glitch or am I missing something obvious... — Unsigned comment by 82.44.101.104 (talk) on 28 March 2009

The detail is on this page, but in a nutshell, you will see a lower damage while your marksman skill is low. As the skill improves, the damage will increase. –RpehTCE 02:04, 29 March 2009 (EDT)

Unique Item stats defaulted for Level 1?[edit]

I was curious to know what level the stats of each item listed start out as. I've noticed that I have stronger versions of the items so therefore I'm assuming that each items stats given are the lowest they can be for that particular item, or just random. I didn't find any information on this so I am just wondering. --Stephanie 06:55, 18 April 2009 (EDT)Stephanie

The stats for unique items remain constant no matter what your level is, unless you repair them beyond 100%. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Leveled Items? –RpehTCE 07:32, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
I'm pretty sure. Mace of Doom, found in the testing area via Wizards Tower Glitch, has Fire Damage 17pts in 10ft for 5sec instead of Fire Damage 17pts in 5ft for 5sec as listed on the wiki. I tested this with a character who is at Level 2 so I only figured as much that 1 level lower might display stats for Mace of Doom as 5 seconds less for the effect. This was just an assumption that Mace of Doom might not be static or that it was a common error; maybe it's neither, but I can confirm that the effect lasts for 10 seconds. I just really wanted to make sure first before I changed anything. --Stephanie 15:31, 18 April 2009 (EDT)Stephanie
You're absolutely right. The Mace of Doom has a 10ft AoE, so this was one thing I hadn't considered - a mistake on our page :) Thanks for pointing that one out. –RpehTCE 15:38, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
My pleasure :) --Stephanie 15:43, 18 April 2009 (EDT)Stephanie

Base item look?[edit]

I assume that these are items are mostly based on generic armour type, as in they are not unique with a few exceptions. So why don't we have a column that states their generic counter part?

Like for Aegis of Apocalypse, it is based on the Blades Cuirass. Maybe it would be easier for people who want to role play or just for general info if we add in that information. Just a thought. — Unsigned comment by 118.92.195.191 (talk) on 11 June 2009

Considering the same is done for articles like Generic Magic Weapons this might be a good idea. The problem is that the tables are already quite full, so we have to see what others think of it. Unless you know a nice way to fit it all into a table. --Timenn < talk > 08:42, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
I know this topic is almost a year old, but thats not a bad idea, perhaps start the table out in a sandbox, than ones its finished replace the table with the new one. Mikeyboy52 12:59, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Fists of the Drunkard[edit]

The wiki states that u can't get the gauntlets till your Mercentile skill should be at least 50. Well, i don't if this is a bug, but I've got those gauntlets and my mercentile lvl isn't 50. I'm playing on the PS3. Alexey09 23:23, 19 June 2009 (EDT)

Well, I have found the same thing. I'm able to buy them with a mercantile skill lower than 50. It seems that Meanlorn is a general merchant, instead of a regular innkeeper. I'm playing on a PS3 as well, but I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. Wolok gro-Barok 08:44, 20 June 2009 (EDT)
Third confirmation here. Tested it in-game, and the Construction Set also simply states he buys/sells armor. So the note goes off the article. Thanks for pointing it out! --Timenn < talk > 08:53, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

Baurus[edit]

Please change text of Baurus' Akaviri to:

Carried by Baurus. Obtainable if he dies or if it breaks during the meeting with the Mythic Dawn or the Tutorial. Once obtained, and spoken to Jauffre after Baurus' death, he will put the sword as monument in the Great Hall of Cloud Ruler Temple. — Unsigned comment by 77.166.190.63 (talk) on 29 July 2009

As mentioned by rpeh, it is not the same item. –Elliot talk 05:55, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
For more information, see this. –rpehTCE 12:11, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Baurus' Akaviri Katana can be obtained later in the game but making sure (1) you haven't continue the 'Deliver the Amulet' quest and (2) haven't started the 'Scheduled for Execution' quest.
Get back to the same spot where the emperor's body was and make sure you have the following:
1. A Disintegrate Weapon spell.
2. Skull of Corruption
3. Over 100% Chameleon (recommended, but not required) Rider4ever38 (talk) 11:25, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Mace of Doom[edit]

If anyone needs to know where the Mace is tell me. Or if theres other places than the Brumahouse testing place please reply --69.66.129.100 01:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC) mikespatan101

As mentioned on the article, it is found in the testing hall via the Frostcrag glitch. –Elliot talk 04:54, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I would like to know if it is in any way possible to get to the testing hall or the area with the Ps3 versions of the game.--Iamgoofball 01:15, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
The Testing Hall for the PS3 can only be accessed by using save data editing softwares such as Bruteforce and Horizon. Also, you will need the actual coordinates of the said facility to be used with Horizon.
Not sure about the Bruma Test Site if it can be accessed the same way as the Testing Hall does. Rider4ever38 (talk) 11:14, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Honorblade of Chorrol[edit]

I'm confused because the weapon is supposed to be non-leveled, but it's damage is at 7 for me. — Unsigned comment by 68.113.150.31 (talk)

The actual damage you see in game is dependent on your skill with that weapon type. The full calculation is detailed both here and here. --Gaebrial 07:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Veil of the Seer[edit]

No Barter option is available for Edgar Vautrine, therefore the item cannot be bought from him.--

I can trade with him and can see this hood in the list (so basically I can buy it). PC GOTY with unofficial patch. Please check if any patches have corrected that issue. 193.227.231.165 09:47, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Have checked Edgar once again and the Hood is in his merchant container available for purchase. However all items I sold to him in his inventory so he can be pickpocketed to get it back. Something strange about this guy, he wears items from inventory/purchased (currently Necromancer Robes :)). It was my comment under IP 193.227.231.165. Oxyk 01:47, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
This issue is fixed with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. An UOP note has been added to said item. --Timenn-<talk> 12:21, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Truncheon of Submission - Whose health is restored?[edit]

Huh? What weird weapon! Whose health does it restore - yours or that of the opponent? WRFan 22:15, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

As far as I recall all weapon enchantments work upon the actor you struck. So the the health of the opponent is restored. --Timenn-<talk> 11:24, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
hahaha, then it's the most useless weapon ever created in a computer game! lol. WRFan 15:38, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but it is kind of clever. You would want your opponent to submit to you; you wouldn't want them dead (roleplaying obviously). –Elliot talk 15:41, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

A good use is to train your Blunt skill; attack the target, he will fall down after a few hits and since their health is restored, you can keep striking them until the enchantment ends. --Rigas Papadopoulos 11:29, 30 September 2010 (UTC) P.S. I know this topic is nearing 1 year but I did not want to create a topic with the same theme just because the first is old.

The main point of this weapon is that a truncheon was to be used as a knockout weapon. This item is used to knock someone out (via fatigue damage) but insure they are not killed. For nonlethal play! Nikomis 14:43, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

ACROBAT'S AMULET[edit]

i cant find it does anyone know where it is?— Unsigned comment by 99.145.182.108 (talk) on 31 December 2009

Since it isn't a unique item then there's no location where you can find it for sure. You'll just have to keep looking in containers that can spawn generic magic apparel. --MC S'drassa T2M 04:28, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Tower of the Nine[edit]

Tower of the Nines base item is "ruined Akavari shield"— Unsigned comment by Mikeyboy52 (talkcontribs) on 10 January 2010

It is a unique item because of the enchantments and is also the only shield that is named like that, it's basic item is not really relevant. --MC S'drassa T2M 15:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

whoops, sorry, wrote that when I was about to go to sleep, noticed it when just before I stopped playing. Mikeyboy52 03:30, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Sinweaver ineffective?[edit]

Isn't the Drain Fatigue effect on Sinweeaver useless because it has no duration? Drain Fatigue effects have to have a duration, don't they?--Darkheart 16:03, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Im not absolutely sure but I believe thats correct. Sometimes the animation plays Mikeyboy52 07:30, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Glitched Unique shop items[edit]

Can someone tell me the base items for the counciler's hood, spectre's ring and the veil of the seer so that i can try to replicate them? I'm playing the 360 version. Also, does adding a negative effect to an enchanted item increase, decrease or have no effect on the enchantment cost? Mathiusdragoon 00:59, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

oops, i forgot that only one enchantment can be put on worn items. Mathiusdragoon 02:41, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
The BaseId for each item is listen under its name in the chart on the page. Using the correct spelling may help you to find them: "Councilor's Hood" and "Spectre Ring". rpeh •TCE 08:09, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I meant the base item, ie the name of the unenchanted item such as "green hood" or "brass ring". But as I am using the xbox 360 version of the game, i could only replicate one of the effects on each item. As far as I have read, only one enchantment can be placed on each apparel item. The base ids would be helpful on the pc for the additem command for those who don't have an unofficial patch though. Mathiusdragoon 13:37, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm afraid there are no "base id's" for the items, the basic object is enchanted--Theos 23:04, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Scales of Pitiless Justice[edit]

On the PS3 version, the stat modifications from the scales do show up as green and red on the stat screen, though it still seems to be implemented as an ability. Since the information on the page is in a table, I'm not sure how to modify it, and will leave it to someone with more editing experience. If necessary, I've taken screen shots of the stat screen and active effect screen as proof, just give me the word. -76.18.210.185 01:00, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

I can say that thats incorrect, I have them and the only thing that shows up green for me is magika (i like huge magika pools) Mikeyboy52 04:40, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
the stat mods from the scales show up green and red on my game too. I have the PS3 GOTY edition 71.158.213.184 15:36, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
The changes show up in colour for me too. I've removed that line. rpeh •TCE 06:49, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Maybe I should retake that color-blindness test O.o Mikeyboy52 05:21, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Mehrune's Razor[edit]

I was going through the construction set (Oblivion.esm) and found an unenchanted dagger called "Ceremonial Dagger" and the editor id is "MDMehrunesRazor". It's under Items/Weapons/Weapons/MehrunesRazor.--Theos 01:08, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes, we know :) rpeh •TCE 12:24, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Tables[edit]

Theres a problem with the unique blades tables, where blunt is one table, blades is two and the "two handed" isnt well-placed. If by the time im back home its still not fixed, ill try my hand at it, for now, gotta see about a girl Mikeyboy52 01:31, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Fixed. I think there's a small issue with the CSS for table captions, but this is a decent workaround. rpeh •TCE 11:00, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Blunt onehand and twohand was setup the same before, so it looks more consistent as well.Mikeyboy52 07:36, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

To Add[edit]

Should the "king of worms" robes be added under clothing? You get it at the end of the mages guild quest.--Zefiewings 18:42, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

No, those robes are here. The naming of this page is slightly misleading as it's about unique enchantments as stated at the top. Since those robes are not enchanted, they belong on the clothing page instead. rpeh •TCE 07:46, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
ok, thought I would ask. I considerded that that was why they were not there, but some of the weapons listed have no enchantments so...--Zefiewings 18:24, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... Maybe things have got a bit messed up. Might need a bit of reorganisation. rpeh •TCE 13:49, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
I'll remove the no-enchantments now Mikeyboy52 10:31, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Took out the refrence tag as well, it was bugged for me. since i cant remember how to type html tags without them showing up (nowiki doesnt work) ill just spell it out. "Open bracket"/refrence"close bracket" Mikeyboy52 10:37, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Symbols of office?[edit]

Not found in game. Its editorid (FGD03BWCBlade) suggests it was intended for The Master's Son quest. Even so, it is one of the weapons that are deliberately not duplicated during the Shivering Isles quest Symbols of Office. - Found under "Broken sword". Does this imply that the Items for the SI quest are just items that were in the code but never implemented?

Also, some help understanding wikicode would be appreciated 184.77.194.254 00:07, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

I think I read somewhere that it was the base for the ceremonial sword, for better help, you can try posting it on this page. MikeTalk 09:16, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Circlet of Omnipotence[edit]

The chest restocks so that you can actually have more than one of these. My namesake character has 3 on the Xbox, but of course he can only equip one. So is it still an item for this page?

At a more fundamental level it is unclear just what are the criteria for being included on this page. The opening sentence says: "items with unique enchantments available for purchase or discovery" but then immediately lists un-enchanted items like: Baurus's Akaviri Katana, Dalvilu Cermonial Dagger, etc and items that are not available for "purchase or discovery" since they were not implemented in the game: Broken Sword.

If the criteria is "any non-generic item listed in the Construction Set for Oblivion" then the page intro should say that.

Is the definition of "generic": any item that is restocked in at least one vendor's inventory, or in at least one NPC's personal inventory, or in at least one container somewhere in the game?

Arnora's True Amulet (00053787) which has no enchantment but is the only one in the game, and yet it is not unique. Jade Amulet (00189CFE) which has no enchantment and is the only one in the game (maybe?), and it is unique.

Now if the criteria is "things the editors think are really cool" then fine, just say that. Kalevala 05:06, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Gauntlets of Gluttony[edit]

Not sure about if its intended or glitch, but gauntlets of gluttony have icon appearance of iron gauntlets but they appear on my character as orcish gauntlets. Same goes if theyre dropped. — Unsigned comment by 24.168.28.32 (talk) at 05:11 on 14 August 2010

It seems likely that this is an error, as even in the Construction Set, they're referred to as "UniqueOrcishGauntletsHunger", implying that they were intended to be Orcish. Robin Hoodtalk 22:19, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Spelling mistakes for katanas[edit]

What is the exact spelling mistake for Akavari Warblade and Sunderblade? "Akavari" instead of "Akaviri"? I was always thinking that it's some sort of specific word that points to the important meaning of that weapon in Akaviri culture, or something. - ZuTheSkunk 19:34, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Bad Link to Ring of Rumare in Amulet Section[edit]

"see below for the ring version that is the reward for Go Fish." But the ring version is NOT listed below among the rings and the link "below" doesn't work! Rather it is to be found at - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Artifacts Oddly, attempting to edit this got nowhere. So is editing the page turned off or restricted? That would be odd for a wiki since its disclaimer is: "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here." It would be understandable if this wiki is under a barrage of vandalism or has been abandoned by its editors. — Unsigned comment by Kalevala (talkcontribs) at 12:56 on January 8, 2011

I fixed the link, directing now to Artifacts rather than Unique Items. As far as I can tell the page is not restricted at all... --DKong27 Talk Cont 18:13, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

"Unique in appearance'[edit]

Someone should probably write in the notes section that "Item is unique in appearence..." for all unique in appearence items... it would really prove helpfull since I'm on ps3 and by far prefer unique items...

Monkeypants![edit]

Thought I would note here as I'm not sure everyone would get it. The reason the Monkeypants have a Drain Willpower effect is likely due to the Chinese phrase of "The Monkey of the Mind" which among other things means confusion or inconsistancy. See Mind Monkey. This term comes up a lot in the Chinese epic "Journey to the West." Nikomis 14:48, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Why would it be from that ? I just don't understand. JackTurbo95 15:16, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Well, mainly, because the item name doesn't include any other reason to include a hit to willpower, and that phrase explains it nicely. It's possible that it's inaccurate, but that's why I posted that it "is likely" rather than guaranteed. Nikomis 15:49, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Erik's Test Gauntlets[edit]

I've seen these in the testing hall. Should they be on the list, because to my knowlege they can only be found in the Testing Hall. 72.73.102.152 00:23, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

We don't normally include purely test items. rpeh •TCE 08:23, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Shrouded armor[edit]

Is it possible to get an unenchanted version of this? I love the look but hate the enchantments.--210.86.68.11 07:33, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

nope, but i dont know if you can get one in the construction kit though (Eddie the head 07:34, 17 July 2011 (UTC))
Thing is if its available via the construction kit, can it be transferred to Xbox by converting the saves?--210.86.68.11 07:41, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
no (Eddie the head 10:38, 22 July 2011 (UTC))
Well, you technically could if the unenchanted version of the armour existed in the vanilla game. But I'm not aware of such a set existing within the files. --Legoless 13:13, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Numerous mods make it available in various versions. I don't know if that helps Xbox people in any way. — Darklocq  ¢ 14:40, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Glenroy's Katana Base Damage?[edit]

Glenroy's Katana has the base damage listed as 18 rather than 15, although all of the other stats seemed like a Ancient Akaviri Katana. Can the 18 be verified? I'm on xbox 360 and just couldn't tell with my level if the damage gets rounded and scaled down. I would have liked to have been able to obtain it for enchanting if it does have a higher base damage. I have hope as an other player had written that Glenroy had survived (because of a glitch the player experienced) Ahriman

Yes, the stats are correct. --NepheleTalk 16:58, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Glenroy's Akaviri Katana has the strongest weapon power of the three Blades' in the Tutorial. It's true statistics will be revealed once you have maxed your Blade skill. So if you can brought it out successfully after the Tutorial, then you're lucky. How? Clues: Reanimate, clone and enchant. Rider4ever38 (talk) 11:18, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Honoring Baurus[edit]

So baurus died while I was in the Great Gate, and I grabbed his sword to give to Jauffre. Jauffre died too as I later found out, and so I couldn't have Baurus' Katana placed above the fireplace. I found a soultion for this, I put it on the empty table in Cloud Ruler Temple Great Hall. Just thought I would mention this for anyone who wanted to Pole-Play or whatever. — Unsigned comment by 74.103.8.249 (talk) at 15:18 on 11 March 2012

How to get Gray Fox`s Armor[edit]

Ever wanted to get Gray Fox`s Weaponward Cuirass or the boots of the Olympian? Well, I have found a way! First: you need to get bound boots and cuirass spell. Second: Cast the spell on you. Third: You need to repair the armor somehow. If you`re not an expert in armorer, get it damaged! Fourth: Drop the the armor. Fifth: When you get a meeting from the Gray Fox (In the Thieves Guild Questline) attack him until he gets unconsious, then guickly pickpocket him the bound armor. Sixth: You`ll notice that the Gray Fox eguips the bound armor, that means that you can pickpocket the boots of the of the Olympian and the weaponward Cuirass, and if you don`t manage to pickpocket him, put him unconsious again. There you go! Hope you enjoy the armor!

Warning: Doing this will get you expelled. — Unsigned comment by 84.248.128.63 (talk) at 13:51 on 30 June 2013

Ummmm…… What does this have to do with unique items? Besides you can get every piece of his gear except the Gray Cowl in random loot anyways, There nothing "Unique" about his stuff armor. Dunehelm (talk) 21:35, 4 October 2013 (GMT)

Black Hand Hood and Robe[edit]

Do these items respawn at Alval Uvani's or J'ghasta's house? I would like to get an additional copy of each so I can drop and pick up to remove the stolen tag and unfortunately I lost one of my robes somehow. Crayolamanic (talk) 21:49, 18 October 2013 (GMT)

No, I don't believe they do. Generally speaking, items with guarantied locations don't respawn. However, I don't usually pull a heist on the same house multiple times. Alter333 (Talk), 22:56, 4 January 2014

Fin Gleam unrepairable?[edit]

First time poster, long time reader. I just recently read that, apparently, fin gleam can be exploited to raise your armorer due to a minor bug causing it to never be fully repaired. I play 360 (fully patched and all dlc) and I could have sworn I've repaired it before I read this. Quiet francly, I hate the helm due to being light armor and poor enchantments, but if this is confirmed, I'd have to exploit this for the endurance. --Alter333 (talk) 23:44, 4 January 2014 (GMT)

If the bug was real, at some point, it's been fixed in one patch or another. I use this helm all the time in dungeons and caves (specifically because it is light armor – not everyone is a tank – and high-end light armor at that, and the enchantments aren't poor at all - you get night vision without having to give away your position with a torch or with Light magic, you can see enemies around corners, though there are items with a greater Detect Life range, and you get constant water-breathing). There is no problem repairing it. — Darklocq  ¢ 14:40, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Hands of midnight[edit]

When I equip this item (PS3), my health continuously goes down, which leads me to believe that the sun damage enchantment is actually 30pt per second, or I am experiencing a bug. In either case, this item is pretty useless as it can only be worn for fifteen seconds before it kills you. Dbbolton (talk) 05:49, 18 June 2014 (GMT)

If you happen to be a vampire at the same time, of course you'll take an extreme health decrease. You have 2 separate sun damage effects taking effect at the same time, almost doubling the damage taken while indirect sunlight. Alter333 (talk) 14:53, 24 June 2014 (GMT)

Honorblade of Chorrol icon[edit]

The article lists the Honorblade as having a unique silver sword icon, but in the game, it's just a generic ebony longsword with the generic ebony longsword icon. - ZuTheSkunk (talk) 19:07, 7 December 2014 (GMT)

There appears to be some confusion about whether this page is for items that are unique in appearance or items that are unique in occurrence. The current lead suggests neither and that it's for items with "unique enchantments", but that's not right, since that would include all artifacts, and numerous common generic magic items that don't share the exact same enchantment as any other item. — Darklocq  ¢ 14:40, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Black Hand Robe[edit]

This should move to Oblivion:Generic Magic Apparel, as there are a bare minimum of 6 of these in the game (three in the possession of named NCPs, two or more – surely more – on generic Black Hand NPCs, and the one you get). — Darklocq  ¢ 14:40, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
