I have found that even though this thing dosent deal great amounts of damage the paralyze enchantment is great for taking out vampires and other npc's as it just keeps them on the ground. Granted you have enough varla stones to keep it charged.

[edit] Volendrung (the sword)

I just whant to say that it excist a sword with the same name to so it isn't a misstake. It's some sort of quest item, but anyway here you got the swords item code if you don't belive me : 00027108

// Zakthos

Ok? It exists, but it doesn't appear in the game. There are numerous items like that, not worthy mentioning. --Timenn < talk > 10:49, 20 September 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Daedric artifact?

Why is Volendrung considered a Daedric artifact at all? It was created by the Dwemer, and is the hammer that the Rourken clan threw across the world to decide where they would go. It's the hammer that gave Hammerfell province its name. The Dwemer hated the Daedra, and considered them false gods, so why would they have revered a Daedric artifact? --76.202.248.34 06:45, 12 December 2008 (EST)

[edit] Leveled

Is Volendrung a leveled item? I am almost entirely sure it isn't, but I didn't want to waste my time getting it so soon with my level 13 if it would be more worthwhile at a later level. I have never completed this Daedric quest with any of my other characters. Thanks! --Norse fury 01:57, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

To the best of my knowledge none of the daedric quest artifacts are leveled --Mptrj 02:00, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. They are all fixed-level items, which is probably one reason why the quests have minimum level requirements. –rpehTCE 10:49, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
