Dark Anchors are enormous hooks sent to Tamriel by Molag Bal from his Daedric plane of Coldharbour. They will fall from the sky and attach chains to the earth, and are used to pull Tamriel into Coldharbour. Dark Anchors pseudo-randomly spawn and are protected by a Daedric guardian. High-level players can defeat the guardian single-handedly, but it is recommended to attack in groups. Each Anchor destroyed grants everyone who contributed a reputation boost with the Fighters Guild.
