Edrasa Drelas is a Dark Elf living in Deepcrag Den. She is the wife of Boril, the owner of the mine, and is also the cousin of Renvis.

Quest-Related Events

If you approach her, she will complain:

"The livestock gone mad and what does he do? Back into the mine, he goes. This isn't turning out well at all. Not at all."

She will attempt to rebuff you initially:

"Sorry, I haven't time for pleasantries. We're having a bit of a crisis here."

What's going on?

"This is Deepcrag Den, a kwama mine. But something's gone wrong.
Some kind of fumes have filled the mine, and the kwama are going crazy. They're attacking the workers. I've been making potions to counter the fumes, but I'm running out of ingredients."

Can I help?

"My husband, Boril, went back into the mine! What is he thinking? I'm sorry, what did you say? Help?
Yes, all right. I need aloe or redweed to make more potions. They grow all around here. You can forage for some, if you're willing."

Leave it to me.

She will give you a parting piece of advice:

"I asked Nelvan [sic] and Marolos to gather plants. They might have some, but it wouldn't surprise me if they just ignored me. The workers don't like me very much.
Otherwise, check the area. Redweed grows near the rocks. Aloe should be out in the open."

I'll get what you need.

She will send you on your way with a bow,

"Thank you. I really am trying to help. Both plants will work in the potions, so anything you find will help."

If you speak to her again before finding the ingredients, she'll say:

"Remember, either aloe or redweed will do. I need enough to make more potions to deal with these noxious fumes."

Where can I find the plants you need?

She'll reiterate that she's already sent Nelvan and Marolos to gather plants, but add:

"Thank you. I really am trying to help.
Both plants will work in the potions, so anything you find will help."

After getting all the plants needed, she will merely remark"

"I never knew kwama could be so vicious!"

Edrasa will rejoice:

I have the plants you needed.

"Praise Vivec! I need to get these potions to the workers as soon as possible.
I'm sure it will help. It has to."

Where do you think the fumes came from?

"I don't know! How would I know? I don't go into the mine! Why are you asking me?
I'm sorry. This is so stressful. I'm worried about my husband, Boril. He went back inside. And I have no idea what happened to my idiot cousin, Renvis."

Why did Boril go back?

She will mention her husband is concerned about the workers in the mine:

"He's concerned about the workers. Thinks they're still in the mine. I'm so worried. Boril hasn't raised a sword in years and the kwama aren't acting normal.
Will you go after him? Take him these potions? And drink one yourself before you go."

I'll drink it and then find your husband.

If you accept, she will dismiss you wordlessly, but if you speak to her again she'll add:

"My husband needs those potions. They're the only thing that will counteract the fumes in the mine."

After returning from the mine, she will ask, concerned:

"You're back! Is everything all right at the mine now?"

I spoke to your cousin, Renvis.

"Then you know what I did. I can hear it in your voice. It was foolish and dangerous. I'm so ashamed.
I've been trying to make up for all this by helping the injured workers."

I have the amulet you gave Renvis.

"It was a gift from Boril. If he sees it, he'll know I was involved. Please, I deserve to be punished, but I don't want to lose Boril.
If you don't reveal my part in this, I promise I'll find a way to make up for it."

You may now choose either to let Edrasa take the fall for her actions, or choose to return the necklace to her, thus destroying the evidence.

Condemn Edrasa

If you told her husband but haven't turned in the quest, she will say:

"You told Boril, didn't you? Very well. I will accept whatever happens next."

If you decide to tell him about Edrasa's betrayal, you can tell Boril of her actions. Shortly, Edrasa will approach and beg for forgiveness:

Edrasa Drelas : "Please forgive me! I'll never do such a foolish thing again!"

Boril Drelas : "Foolish, selfish woman! I'm sending you to my mother's netch farm in Stonefalls."

Edrasa Drelas : "Not your mother's! Not netches! Anything but that, dear husband."

Edrasa Drelas : "Netches are worse than kwama! Oh, what have I done?"

Edrasa will run off into the distance and fades away.

Spare Edrasa

Talking to her again will cause her to sniff:

"What have you decided to do?"

Take your amulet. Find a way to make it up to these people.

"Almalexia bless you! You won't regret this. I'll help Boril and the miners. I'll even stop complaining about the kwama. And I'll certainly never do anything so foolish ever again."

Speaking to her again:

"Thank you so much for agreeing to keep my secret. I promise, I'll make it up to Boril and the miners. You have my word on that."

After the quest, Edrasa will then approach Boril to ask what more she can do:

Edrasa Drelas : "Husband, you work too hard. Let me help."

Boril Drelas : "Don't worry, dear. The potion you concocted has been a great help today."

Edrasa Drelas : "I'll help all I can. I'll gather more plants in case I need to make more potions."

Speaking to her:

"I'll never forget your kindness. And I'll never do anything like this again."
