Maxus the Many is encountered once more during the Darkshard boss fight in Bedlam Veil. He appears when Darkshard reaches the 70% health threshold and retreats.

Maxus uses the same abilities as before.

Entropic Bolt

Magic Rune

Maxus casts a rune at your location, indicated by a circular AoE, dealing continuous high magical damage.

Summon Clones

Maxus cloaks himself in shadows and summons elementalist and militant copies of himself, and will absorb them back to regain health if they have not been killed.

Teleport

Maxus can teleport quickly across the arena.

Dialogue

When summoned:

"You are only one―but I am many! Now die!"

Before/after summoning clones:

"Come forth, my other self!"

"Kill. No survivors."

"Now, we kill the mortal."

Absorbing his clones:

"Return! Give me your strength!"

"Rejoin me! I command it!"

"To me! At once!"

Notes

• In Aureal hierarchy, males are by definition much weaker than females, so Maxus being a powerful Golden Saint is somewhat of an oddity.
