If you enter the Guild before having spoken to Sinien, he'll say:

"Did Urcelmo send you? It's about time they found someone."

After you've talked to Sinien, he'll say:

"I'm eager to see this plan in action."

After you destroyed the wards and before fighting Estre:

"Thanks to you, we were able to destroy the wards. I wish you the same luck against High Kinlady Estre."

After the siege, he will resume business in the Mages Guild.

If you have not joined the Mages Guild, he can sign you up:

"High Kinlady Estre is defeated. Thrice-blessed are we.
We of the Guild may return to more scholarly matters."

Who are you people?

"An organization dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. Docents of the guild seek out books, tomes, and ancient scrolls in their travels."

I've found a few books in my travels already.

"Excellent! We'll credit you for your findings on the guild ledger.
The more books you find, the more credit you'll accrue."

"Docents with good standing in the guild earn the opportunity to buy special items only available to members.
