Quest-Related Events[edit]

She is the quest-giver for the related quest. She tells you that portals have opened all over the shrine, and the priests can't handle all the Daedra by themselves. You need to kill the Watchers that come out of the portals while near the portals to close them.

As you near her at the southern wall, she'll call out:

Priest Dilyne: "Over here! We need help to close these portals."

Speak to her to begin the quest:

"By the skull of the saint! Sacrilege, blasphemy, and heresy!"
What's all the commotion?
"Saint Veloth said someone would come to aid us.
Magistrix Vox opened Daedric portals within these holy grounds. They're like wounds in the world. Now all sorts of vile creatures pour through and attack us."
How can I help?
"We tried to close the portals, but Vox was clever—she used dark magic to tie each portal to a watcher. You have to kill the watchers to close the portals. That's how many of us died.
Please close them, then find me by the central dais."
I'll close the portals.
"Just take out those watchers near the portals. If you don't kill them close to the portals they guard, another one of the creatures pops up to take its place. Blasted Vox."

Speaking to her again:

"After you close these thrice-damned portals, meet me near the central dais."
Anything else I should know about?
"Just take out those watchers near the portals. If you don't kill them close to the portals they guard, another one of the creatures pops up to take its place. Blasted Vox."

After the portals are closed, meet her at the central dais where the other group of surviving priests are located:

"I may not look it, but I'm glad to see you."
The Daedric portals are closed.
"Thank you. Your efforts have lifted the morale of the priests and acolytes, giving us all hope. We are in your debt."
I only wanted to help.
"Three bless you and thank you!
Now we can see about restoring some order to this chaos."

If you exit the conversation before turning in the quest, she will say:

"I may not look it, but I'm glad to see you."
I closed the Daedric portals. (Leads to quest completion dialogue)

After closing her related quest:

"After prayers, we'll clear out the remaining Daedra."

After rebuilding the reliquary:

"It warms my heart to see the sacred skull back in its reliquary."
