Clerk Skye can be found in Lakvan's Stronghold. She tells you that she was sent to find evidence of Imperial involvement in the current war. She knows where to find the evidence but doubts she's going to get paid for her efforts.

She agrees to give you the evidence if you find her a Spider Heart and two Horrid Tongues to give her some payment for her efforts. ^{[verification needed — Dialogue in-game is contradictory: one or two tongues?]}

Clerk suggests that the Consumables she wants can be found behind the shadowgate, but in fact she will take any Spider Heart and Horrid Tongue. Find what she requires and head back.

Clerk Skye brightens up when you return with the ingredients and hands you a red scroll and a brown one.

The Red Scroll is a ledger that shows that considerable sums have been paid to Lakvan by the Empire. Some of the entries, such as 'Hammerfell dead, per head' indicate the Empire is leaning toward Skyrim in this war.

The Brown Scroll is a letter to Lakvan from Jagar Tharn. In it, he essentially tells Lakvan to choose between Pergan Asuul or himself. In addition to the scrolls, you also receive 2,500XP.

• Clerk Skye doesn't reveal who sent her to spy. Since neither Porliss Caith or Tanyin Aldwyr, from Hammerfell and Skyrim respectively, seem to know about her, it appears that a third power may be investigating Lakvan.
