Volstok Violet is first encountered as a shambling zombie in Twilight Temple. Through dessicated lips he implores you to find the area's shadowkey and bring it to him. If this is achieved, he turns back into a human and tells you that he is a Merchant Captain of Dragonstar and to visit him in Dragonstar East for a reward.
As good as his word, Volstok will present you with a bag of gold should you visit him in his quarters.
