Cann is a large ruin west of Highcross containing Heretics and Hungers (quest-related). [edit] It contains five zones: Cann, The Great Hall, Cann, Amphitheater, Cann, Halls of Tranquility, Cann, Arena, and Cann, Arena Substratum.
It has a large presence on the surface. Over a series of bridges to the north, there is what appears to be a scalon shrine on an island. Scalons appear to repeatedly spawn here. Also to the north is an Obelisk. The Entrance to Cann is guarded by a couple of Heretics spaced far enough apart to dispose of them singly. Cann is inhabited by Heretics and Hungers. Since, unlike Zealots, Heretics (and their minions, Hungers) are tricked into non-hostility by anyone wearing their "uniform," Heretic Robes, the only real hazards to players here are the traps. Players lacking sufficient Chameleon spells and/or items to stack to 100% Chameleon level would be well-advised to Dress for Success, i.e. wear Heretic Robes and Hoods.
Notes
- This ruin contains 21 Flame Stalk plants, 17 Screaming Maw plants, and 39 Root Stalk plants.

- The following plants can be found near the entrance: 9 Alocasia plants, 3 Aster Bloom plants, 3 Red Kelp plants, 4 Mushroom Tree Sapling plants, and 2 Worm's Head plants
Zone 1: Cann, The Great Hall
The entry chamber is inhabited by several Heretics. However the large room size makes it easy to sneak past them. 2 Urns are located on the west side of the central pillar, facing the Metal Door at the west end of the room. Exiting west, the path splits- one branches into a rough cave-tunnel through the Dungeon wall and the other is a normal hallway which winds north and east, guarded by a roving Heretic and leading to the Great Hall. The cave passage is defended by multiple Hungers and has an Hollowed Amber Stump near the end of the path. It then breaches another wall of the Ruin into a tumbled-down chamber, guarded by a Heretic, with an exit to the Halls of Tranquility to the west and a Metal Door into the Great Hall (main room) to the east. The Great Hall is subdivided into two sections, northern and southern, joined by stairs at the east and west ends of the room. The northern section of the Great Hall has a raised platform at its center with 4 stonework thrones. There is a locked Urn on the southern wall (of the northern section) between two thrones and an exit to the Amphitheater to the east. The southern section is defended by multiple Heretics and contains a large Chest in the middle of the room and a Madness Ore Deposit in the southeast corner. Trying to loot the Chest from directly in front of it leaves the player exposed to 2 Hunger traps (shooting firebombs) on the east and west walls, but fortunately, it is possible to slip into a convenient crevice on either side of the chest and loot it from behind while protected from the firebombs, then run out up the stairs to the south without getting hit.

Zone 2: Cann, Amphitheater
A short west-then-north hallway leads to small chamber with two Heretics and a Chest. Heading north to the corner then stopping and looking west from there, you will see a staircase with an Urn at the top. The floor between the corner of the hall where you are standing and the foot of the stairs leading up to the Urn is a pit trap deviously combined with an arrow trap to cause high damage to those with slow reaction times. Jumping over it would be advisable, but if you fall through anyway make sure to fall as far from the center as possible, thereby minimizing the damage from the arrows which shoot straight up the middle of the trap opening. Then, make your way back to the small Heretic-infested chamber described below. Heading East from the top of the arrow/pit trap (assuming you made the jump to the Urn and back) leads to a Madness Ore Deposit in an alcove to the north and a long south-then-east hallway. There is a dogleg hallway to the north leading to a dead end with a Heretic guarding an Urn. Backtracking to the doorway opening to the west that you passed to explore the little dogleg, there are Heretic defenders in a small chamber at the bottom of the stairs; due to the tight quarters, they are difficult to avoid without stealth or appropriate attire. From the bottom of the stairs, the west exit dead-ends into the bottom of the arrow/pit trap and is devoid of treasure. To the north is an area consisting of several short, intersecting hallways. Heading west then north (or north then west) from the south end of the area, there is a Chest protected by a Heretic and a firebomb-shooting Hunger trap. There is a button to deactivate the trap just above the Chest. Heading east then south from the south end of the area will lead to a Heretic-guarded room full of Alchemical ingredients and a filled Grand Soul Gem under an overturned basket. Heading to the northeast in this area leads to a room with a charming statuary tableau depicting 4 Hungers poised to devour 4 humans. There are 2 Chests in this room, and the exit hall in the northeast corner leads to the Arena.

Zone 3: Cann, Halls of Tranquility
Entering from the Great Hall, the first room of the Zone is barren except for 2 Heretics and a door which leads east. Following the hallway east and then all the way north and west, there is a dead-end room with 2 Heretics guarding Alchemy equipment and a Chest. There is a button to open the door to this room to the right of the door. Backtracking to the easterly hallway you passed on the way to the dead-end room, all the way to the east leads to another switch-opened room containing a chest and Salonia's Skull for the Ghosts of the Hill of Suicides Quest. Between the two dead-end rooms just described, there is a hallway leading north into a mid-sized L-shaped room containing 2 Heretics and an exit to the Arena in the northwest corner. Continuing south then east from the eastern end of this room leads into the Theater itself, defended by 2 Heretics and their multiple summoned Minions. As always when battling casters with minions, it is best to ignore (dodge) the minions and concentrate your damage on the caster- the summoned minions will go away when the summoner dies. There is a Madness Ore Deposit in the southeast corner and two chests along the northern wall of the room to the northeast of this area, and there is a Soul gem on the podium in the raised center of the main Theater room.

Zone 4: Cann, Arena
Heading west immediately upon entering from the Amphitheater leads to a long, Hunger-infested linear tunnel with 2 Hollowed Amber Limbs and 2 Hollowed Stumps. Eventually, this tunnel disgorges you into a hall with an exit to Halls of Tranquility and a button-opened secret chamber containing two Urns at the south end. Going north in this hall leads to a dead end with an Urn and a peek-a-boo view of a wide spot in the tunnel through which we just came. Backtracking all the way to where we entered the Zone from the Amphitheater, we find that we can go north from the northwest side of this room or east into more tunnels. Both routes lead to the Arena. The northerly route rewards the player for killing or avoiding the resident Heretic with a Chest, while the easterly route is Hunger-free, treasure-free and shorter. Using the tunnel to the east, you will see two "regular-strength" Transformed Heretics immediately upon entering the large Arena. Continuing along the eastern and northern sides of the room to the northwest corner, we encounter a Heretic Warpriest who summons multiple minions, soaks up lots of damage and bestows numerous curses and attribute damage upon you for your trouble- so he is much more tedious to dispose of. His corner contains an Urn and some jewels, along with an interesting scroll for those who are following the story line. There is an easy-to-miss Chest on the ledge at the northeast corner of the sunken middle of the Arena and another Heretic to deal with in the southwest corner near the passageway out to the south, which leads to a room with a Chest and an overpass leading back south into the first room via one last angry Heretic. The exit to the Arena Substratum, appropriately flanked by Hunger statues, is at the center of the Arena floor at the west end. The button to open the gate is just to the right of the gate.

Zone 5: Cann, Arena Substratum
The Arena Substratum contains some of the rarest clothing in the game- Tan Robe, Tan Robe Hood, Tattered Robe and Tattered Robe Hood can all be found there. You can find letters written by the participants on their corpses, showing that they all thought it was to be a fight to the death, rather than the love-fest their captors intended. There are two adjacent doors, both leading to the same set of rooms. Taking the southernmost (left-hand) door, there is a hallway leading down to a large room and 3 small cells with Participant skeletons, rare clothing, an Urn and some letters written by the long-dead Participants. The exit to the other room of this level is to the north. 3 more Participant quarters are here, as well as a hallway east to the other door from the Arena and the exit to the lower level in the northwest corner. Use caution as you descend the stairs- there are at least 3 Voracious Hungers at the bottom, and unless you look like a Heretic they are not pleased to see you. There are a Madness Ore Deposit and a Chest in the inside corner of the staircase.
