A Crystal Chest

Crystal Chests are pearly white with unique engravings, usually partially buried or concealed, that are scattered throughout Mania and Dementia in various fixed locations. They can also rarely be found inside specific ruins. They are always lying in the middle of a cluster of smaller Order crystals, partially concealing them resulting from similar coloring. Even from a slight distance can a chest be concealed because of crystals towering around it.

However, you won't be able to open them until after you have first encountered the Knights of Order. Attempting to open one beforehand will hint at needing some sort of unique key. Opening one requires a Heart of Order removed from any Knight or Priest of Order corpse. Crystal Chests can still be opened even after completion of main quest line as long as you have the necessary Hearts of Order. The chests themselves contain random but exceptional loot in the form of leveled gold, weapons, armor, jewelry, ingredients, and soul gems.

In the final zone of Xeddefen near the main power Obelisk.
In the Pinnacle Rock zone, 'Hall of Honour', in the room sealed by crystals. Only if you are saving the Mazken in the Helpless Army quest. Otherwise it is in Brellach when you are saving the Aureal in the Helpless Army quest.
In the Xiditte zone 'Catacombs', in the secret room.
