Syndelius Gatharian is a male Dunmer mage that you encounter during the quest Baiting the Trap.
As Grommok's journal reveals, Syndelius was the one that realised Duskfang/Dawnfang was an Akaviri sword, that it changes form at dawn and at dusk, and that it is a "blood drinking" sword.
During the aforementioned quest, Syndelius meets his fate in the second chamber of Xedilian, either dying or going mad (according to the player's choice).
