The Missing Pauldron, Bliss

The Missing Pauldron is a blacksmith store in Bliss, the manic half of New Sheoth. [edit]

Dumag can make you amber armor or weapons, if you bring him the appropriate number of pieces of amber. If you also have the appropriate amber matrix, he can make magical amber weapons or armor. You cannot choose the enchantments on these. There is no money cost; the amber/matrix is removed from your inventory and replaced with the chosen item. The specific name and stats vary with level.

There are a couple of theories as to why the store carries the name it does. The first is that it is a tribute to Morrowind, where both of the Daedric Pauldrons could not be found unless one was prepared to kill Divayth Fyr (although they did appear in Bloodmoon and Tribunal). The second is that it references the fact that Pauldrons do not exist separately in Oblivion as they did in Morrowind, but are instead merged with the cuirass.
