male golden saint picture[edit]

I think we need to add a picture of a male golden saint, does anyone agree?--The Divine Crusader 20:21, 7 April 2008 (EDT)

Yes, the Shivering:Dark Seducer article has the male version included. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 21:04, 7 April 2008 (EDT)

okay so if anyone has a good picture of a male golden saint please add it. (as long as it fits UESP picture guidlines)--The Divine Crusader 21:58, 7 April 2008 (EDT)

There is a picture of a male Aureal in the Wiki. We could simply use the one of Mirel. —Dark Spark 02:15, 8 April 2008 (EDT)

that would work, please add it. I Tried but couldn't get it to work.--The Divine Crusader 15:57, 8 April 2008 (EDT)

oaky, I got it to work now.--The Divine Crusader 18:20, 8 April 2008 (EDT)

Periodic table[edit]

May I just point out that the name "Aureal" is a reference to the standard periodic table? Because gold is "au" on the periodic table, it must be. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, though. Zander 20:23, 13 October 2008 (EDT)

Well... yes. The chemical symbol for gold derives from its Latin name, "aurum", (same as Lead - plumbum, Sodium - natrium etc). There's also a link to the Latin word for the dawn, aurora but I don't know whether gold derives from that or the other way around. –RpehTCE 01:00, 14 October 2008 (EDT)

Saints not yielding?[edit]

I've beat SI. I became Duke of Dementia. After I beat it, I snuck into Duke of Mania's private quarters to see if there was Amber ore, but was caught. I accidentally hit fight guards, but wanted to pay my SI bounty off. It wouldn't let me yield to the Saints. Is this a glitch? --Oblivion nerd 20:00, 10 December 2008 (EST)

No. The guards inside Thadon's quarters never respond to yields, regarldess of disposition (or, at least, this is what I witnessed ater attempting to yield to one after casting a 100 point charm spell.)

Golden Saint HP and MP (?)[edit]

Hey, I was wondering if someone could give the Golden Saints and Seducer's Health and Magicka, as I would try myself...I have no resources to do so, or to check them. So if anyone is willing to do it, please...

Escorts[edit]

Right now, the page on Golden Saint Escort and Dark Seducer Escort redirects to the main Golden Saint and Dark Seducer pages, but with no info on the escorts. Are pages going to be made talking about and giving stats for the escorts? And will there be a list of the other follower NPCs in SI for that matter? There's one for vanilla Oblivion but not SI.--97.100.38.109 02:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

It's on the Task List. If you feel like making it, that would be a great help. –rpehTCE 06:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

voice[edit]

who voices the golden saints and dark seducers?--Arch-Mage Matt 01:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Finding the correct voice actors for specific races can be difficult, as the official credits don't list them like that. IMDB claims that Bari Biern voiced the Golden Saint females. --Timenn-<talk> 16:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Moved from main page[edit]

I moved this from the Bugs section:

"if you take too long to enter the realm of shegorath a group of golden saints or dark seducers will travel around cyrodil if the player attempts to speak with them you will recieve the I HAVE NO GREETING message"

It just doesn't sound likely, anyone know for sure? Volthawk 15:43, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Armor[edit]

Is the female Golden Saint's armour 1 piece or 2 piece? From the front it looks like a 2 piece armor but from the back you can see the skirt it attatched to the cuirass. I want to know coz I'm writing a fan fic with a Golden Saint and I need to know if her armor is 1 piece or 2 piece. Can anyone please tell me? --Sencilia 13:46, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

The copy you receive during the main quest is a raiment, so I would assume they all are. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs,E-mail) 14:06, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you so much! This'll help me in my story! *hug* --Sencilia 14:36, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

GS get lost to![edit]

hello! i was just wondering why i will find GS guards andaurgezels out in the wild i once even found them fighting(the andaurgezel one!)so why do i keep finding them in the wild? — Unsigned comment by 142.68.105.167 (talk) at 13:44 on 12 March 2010

I don't quite understand what you Are saying but are you talking about the guards on patrol along the roads? --Sencilia 02:12, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
sorry i was sorta sleepy there but i'll try to say what i was saying well sometimes i will find GS gaurds and GS andaurgezels walking around the SI and i found them fighting once so i want to know why i find them walking around the SI i think one time i found them in demtiea and i want to kow why(+ i want to know why they whhere fighting?)--GUM!!! 13:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
What is a andaurgezels? Anyway, it could be a minor bug in their Al package perhaps? --Sencilia 14:16, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
i don't know but they seem to be eleite GS because part of there helmit is black with a pink jewlel in it--GUM!!! 16:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
First of all, Andaurgezels don't exist in-game. However, you will find two GS patrolling around Mania. The officer is an Aurgezel and she is always followed by a lower-rank GS. They basically patrol from The Mania Gates of Madness to Bliss, to Highcross, to Split, on towards Hale and then back to the Gates of Madness. The Aurgezel's helmet is a standard GS Officer helmet. --SerCenKing Talk 18:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

i don't know what they are but i copied the spelling right from the game--GUM!!! 22:05, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Echo[edit]

I noticed that if you listen carefully to the lady Aureals, when they say "Go" her voice echos a bit. --Sencilia 10:15, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

It sounds very much like all dialogue recorded for the Golden Saints was digitally altered somewhat. --Timenn-<talk> 13:43, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Male Voice[edit]

When the male Golden Saints in my game say "Speak quickly", their lips do not move. I don't know if this is only my game, or if it happens in every game. I have the GOTY edition for the PC, if that is important. -DevotedInsanity 17:24, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Infoboxes.[edit]

I'm currently in the CS getting the info. I'll paste in the tables when finished. --TheEnigmaticMan 18:20, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

But not for statistics-- races on Oblivion don't have that, so GS's shouldn't either. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 18:25, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
So just HP, MP and fatigue then? --TheEnigmaticMan 18:36, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
And inventory, if you really want to do good. Look at this table for inspiration. I'm guessing most GS's are leveled, so it would be very hard to put their exact health. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 18:39, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
I was planning on just putting in the base characteristics. --TheEnigmaticMan 18:56, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
I second Matt - use the Bandit, Heretic and Vampire pages. Include info on equipment, weapons and any other stuff found on their person; eventually we could include health/magicka. I've done spells so I can't think of anything to else add... Good luck! --SerCenKing Talk 09:35, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Golden Saint Escort armour[edit]

My GSE's armour doesn't appear to be taking damage as my Dark seducer has had hers long since broken. I want to reverse pickpocket enchanted armour on her but unless she drops what she has now she won't wear it. Datacaust 21:01, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Note that DS have light armor, so that armor's health is a lot lower than the GS heavy armor. Try using disintegrate armor on her ~ Dwarfmp 21:04, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Got it off her, the dis. armour didn't work until I fast travelled. She appeared with no armour on. Datacaust 22:15, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Too many images?[edit]

Should we cut a few images from this page? They are all good images but I think we have several too many, it feels like the article was trying to catalog all of the Auriel in picture form. For example in the Bliss Guards Sub-section we have three images, one for each of the guards, when it would have been fine with just one picture of a patrolling guard. This is also one of the larger pages on the wiki, and I don't see all of the additional images helping with that. Images nearly always help an article, as visual media is almost always easier to comprehend then text, but to many are just plain distracting, and make a page harder to load.

What do you guys think, cut a few, or keep them? Alpha Kenny Buddy 03:48, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

The reason I added this many images was to leave out as many 'gabs' as possible. Though the gabs could be avoided by simple adding no images, I felt at least one was necessary. So one could become three etc. Perhaps the stats compression could change the appearance of the page, making a gab not as unwanted as I think it is now. ~ Dwarfmp 04:10, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I believe there are a little too many pictures on this page, especially in retaking the fringe section. Showing the GS soldiers with all the possible weapons are not really necessary. So maybe a few images may be cut. - Dragonxss2 17:02, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I agree the "Retaking The Fringe" section probably has too many images. They're more about showing off different weapons than different types of guard, so I'd support reducing that section to 2, or even 1 image. rpeh •TCE 17:21, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Golden Saint in Cyrodiil[edit]

I was in Cyrodiil in the Gottshaw Inn and my Golden Saint Escort appeared walked up to me then disappeared presumably out the door. I thought they couldnt leave the isles!? Datacaust 02:12, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Colon Captilization[edit]

In the interest of avoiding an edit war, I wanted to post that I gree with capitilizing the A in the sentence, "Golden Saints have their own kind of heavy armor: A golden saint armor and a Golden Saint Helmet". The main point of the sentence is to talk about the unique armor, and the first part of the sentence is only used to introduce the unique armor types, so accoridng to this website, http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/marks/colon.htm, the A should remain capitilized. --Pwnageincarnate 22:24, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Pwnageincarnate

I would have thought capitalisation after a colon was only appropriate for when the first part is just a title, e.g.
"Apple: Fruit from an apple tree."
Otherwise it's part of a full sentence, in which case a lowercase letter makes more sense. Legoless 22:45, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Solved this issue with the addition on a semi-colon. It essentially replaces a hyphen. A semi-colon is more appropriate in this situation, so the issue is solved. - Emoboy64 22:54, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Male Stats?![edit]

Do Male Golden Saints really have all those negatives? I suppose, lore-wise, it would make sense. Still, I have to double check. 50.8.86.129 19:35, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

All information has already been checked. Those figures are accurate. rpeh •TCE 19:42, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Thinking...[edit]

I know this will sound like radical , but when you've got the Golden SAINTS , and Dark SEDUCERS , take the first letter of the last names , and what do you get , the SS. I doubt this is correct in any way possible but I found it quite amusing. JackTurbo95 15:51, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Latin Referance[edit]

The word golden in latin is aureus, meaning golden, simlply adding an 'L' makes aureals meaning that they do consider themselves golden (and possibly above the Mazken?). I noticed reference above to the Periodic table, it is names Au from the Latin word aurum, meaning gold (changing to Aureus to mean golden)It think that it would be wort putting this in a notes section on the main page.

(i do not think that 'Mazken' has any Latin references however macto means fight, and combined with the word kin (ancient word for family i do not know the origin) and with the slight change of letters (like 'L' in aureals 'z' for mazken) could combine to mean fight-ing- family, Which makes sense as they are all so loyal to Sheogorath)AdairTheNord 11:42, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure that such an obvious reference to aurum needs to be mentioned in writing. --Brf 14:18, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Aurum is a common word for gold. The connection is pretty obvious, and doesn't need such a long-winded explanation. Legoless 21:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Ranks[edit]

Are the ranks listed in order of Auren being the lowest or highest rank? I'm just a little confused as to where everything fits in. For example, what class is an Aurmazl under? Thanks. Lisa_McC 20:16, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Aurens are the lowest rank.As it says, only two ranks are used though.RIM 20:18, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

bug?[edit]

when i was in Bliss, a civilian(i forgot who) killed Big Head, then was killed by one of the golden saints. then that golden saint started attacking another golden saint, and continued until she died. are they meant to fight eachother?74.138.183.168 00:41, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

I think it was Pad-Ei that killed him with what looked like a madness dagger. 74.138.183.168 00:41, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Where is Aurmazl and Aurgezel?[edit]

The Aurmazl and Aurgezel ranks are not in the Golden Saints Faction. So where in the hierarchy would they presumably go? Pacingpal (talk) 16:24, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Leveling armor and weapons[edit]

My guess is that the weapons/armor you find is dependent on the current level you're in right? Rather than the level of installation? Because in some DLC the level of weapon/armor you find is dependent on the level of installing the DLC, rather than the current level you're in. — Unsigned comment by C0rTeZ48 (talkcontribs) at 13:03 on 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Yes. Unless indicated otherwise on the page, you can assume leveled means your current level. —Legoless (talk) 15:00, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
