Tamriel:Sheogorath should link to this page.

What would be the right race for Sheogorath? When I just write in Sheogorath in the NPC summary, it links to the quest in Oblivion...--Pyntix 12:13, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

I used the "racecat" field to make the category go to "Other Races". Not sure what to do about the Sheogorath Race page, since Sheogorath is of course the only member of it. Maybe somehow getting it to link to Lore:Daedra would work? Would require a change to the template, of course. Not sure what other suggestions are viable... (We'll have similar problems for the various Golden Saint and Dark Seducer NPCs.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:38, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
No need to change the template. Just provide a link in the race field and it works. --Nephele 14:15, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Fighting Madness

Whilst I am aware that he has a ridiculous amount of health, is it possible to kill/ knock Sheogorath out? --Merco 14:35, 22 October 2007 (EDT)

I don't think so, because the moment you hit him, you are paralyzed and cn't move until he kills you. Maybe if you made a ridiculously powerful spell it might work, but you'd probably have to make a spell of your own (not though the spell altar) or have a RIDICULOUS amount of magica. --Ordon Crane 22:08, 6 December 2007 (EST)

Theoretically, striking him with Mehrune's Razor might work, because of the slight chance of it auto-killing whoever is slashed with it.
That's a thought - and one worth investigating. –RpehTCE 05:25, 10 January 2008 (EST)
I just spent several frustrating minutes failing to kill Sheogorath and then it occurred to me to look at the script. The first line ensures the razor never works against essential characters; the second that it doesn't work against entities in the Creature faction (a comment notes that this is to protect Mehrunes Dagon himself). So Sheogorath can never be killed using the razor. I'm going to add some text to the dagger's section to reflect this. –RpehTCE 05:48, 13 January 2008 (EST)

Actually, it is completely possible. Through the use of a frenzy spell. He stands, draws his fists and begins attacking you. (rather than just teleporting you to execution point.) Leave the palace and after a painfully long time, the guards manage to kill him. --M'aiq the Liar 00:34, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Cane

What is the FormID for Sheogorath's cane? I am on the 360 so I can't use AddItem or CoC. --124.181.248.118 18:45, 29 February 2008 (EST)

If you're on Xbox 360 then why do you care about the FormID? --NepheleTalk 19:22, 29 February 2008 (EST)
I don't know why he does but what is it?--Puddle 19:27, 29 February 2008 (EST)
I'm a little late to this party, but since I was in the right general area anyway, it's listed as SESheogorathCane (00094C2F). --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 20:55, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
Is it a staff or a miscellaneous item? Also what is the name as seen in game? Dagoth Ur, Mad God T C E 21:10, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Neither—it's clothing. It has no in-game name, since you can never legitimately possess it without using the console. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 22:43, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Does it occupy the "Hand" slot? Dagoth Ur, Mad God T C E 22:45, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Strangely, it's the Right Ring slot. Why do you ask? (Other than to increase your edit count, of course.) --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 23:24, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
When you type additem 94c2f 1 in the console, will it say "Sheogorath's Cane added", "added", Or "SESheogorathCane added"? Does it have enchantments? Dagoth Ur, Mad God T C E 23:28, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Try it yourself and you'll see, there is no name, only a large purple square. If you don't own SI, try player.additem c5b3c instead...it'll be the same effect. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 23:43, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
What uses the 000c5b3c Form Id? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dagoth Ur, Mad God (talkcontribs).
Seriously, enough already!! Who cares??? How will this ever have any effect on your game, especially if you don't even have SI?? Stop wasting our time. --NepheleTalk 23:56, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Actually, I lied...that won't give you a purple square, it'll just show you a glove icon and then "added"...but close enough. Anyway, I'm not participating in this conversation any more, as I suspect your only reason for asking is to bump up your edit count even further on useless edits which we're all quite tired of. Be happy that none of the administrators has reported you to the abuse department of your ISP. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 00:00, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
It looks like the actual added symbol varies. For some strange reason, it only has the symbol and no words just "~ added" but from what I've seen the ~ is whatever you just have used. After I equiped the fork of horriplation, a stunted magicka symbol appeared. After I used additem for a great welkynd stone, the symbol for that appeared. Also after I checked my inventory, it wasn't even there. --M'aiq the Liar Talk 22:31, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Sheogorath's Spells

Is there any way to get any of Sheogoraths spells? Like the one which sends the person up to the sky and dies. --68.81.38.129 19:52, 5 May 2008 (EDT)

I'm still going through SI myself, so I'm not sure what spells he has, but you can get the spell you're talking about by typing player.addspell 55527 into the Console. It won't do you much good, however, as it's scripted to only work if the target is the player, and casting a targetted spell on yourself is something Oblivion doesn't allow. If you target anyone else, the spell shows the Paralyze animation, but there's no actual effect. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 20:49, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
If you can see other people in the room (Haskill) when Sheogorath uses the spell, you can see that it has a long hit range (Probably in case he misses). It also has been wondered what happens if you have 100% spell reflect, but seeing as it is a scripted teleport, it probably won't do anything.Dr. Kilereren 17:51, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
Yes, the spell has an insanely large range of 3000 feet, and as a scripted effect, nothing will reflect or resist it as far as I know. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 17:28, 26 June 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Quotes section ?

How about a quotes section on this page? I find his quotes most enjoyable, and would love to have a complete compilation.

I once dug a pit and filled it with clouds....or was it clowns.... come to think of it, it began to smell... must have been clowns. Clouds don't smell, they taste of butter. And tears.

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.89.192.203 (talkcontribs).

It's an interesting idea, but the biggest problem I see with it is that you could probably quote half the dialogue that he says. By the very nature of who he is, there's so much of his dialogue that's either funny or just plain weird. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 11:14, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
We could pick out the best lines, but then we'd probably end up with arguments over which lines deserve mentioning. I think the numerous statements about his insanity are really enough, but a compilation could go in user's sandbox (if any users are interested in this). --HMSVictoryTalk 11:20, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
Perhaps someone could make a page for SI on Wikiquote and then link it here? X3--216.99.55.12 12:30, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
One of the goals of the Oblivion NPC Redesign Project is to list unique dialogue. The ONPCRP includes SI so we'll get around to it at some point. –RpehTCE 16:20, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Why not just list all his quotes? Its not like it will be too overwheling. Unless there is only one person doing it then just the quicker ones. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 121.217.56.178 (talkcontribs).

Because that's a large undertaking due to the sheer volume of things he says. He also says different things in slightly different circumstances. It'd take some digging through the TES:CS. GameSageZB 01:33, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

I must say though, it is something I want to see. It could be easily sectioned into quest related text, general text and "best picks". NIL 10:29, 22 July 2008 (EDT)
