[edit] Another Naked Nord?
Morrowind had a recurring theme involving meeting Nord males in advanced states of undress along the side of the road (a fact that Bethesda commemorated with the Easter Egg Character Forstagg The Sweltering in Morrowind's Tribunal Expansion.) Yngvar just may be a candidate for inclusion into the Naked Nord Club, though I wonder if the fact that he wears pants would disqualify him. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.14.2.104 (talk • contribs).
- I don't know, I'd say the pants would be a bit of a disqualifier, not to mention the lack of witch-involvement. Also, this is hardly the only instance of crazy-naked person associated with Sheogorath in Oblivion - there's a couple of loony nudists hanging around Sheogorath's shrine without the expansion. (Note that the Morrowind naked Nords did NOT have any stated association with Sheogorath, nor were they depicted as crazy.) I'd say the Bloodmoon naked Nords might be related - there's a lot of witches in Bloodmoon if you count the Fryse Hags. But this is a bit of a stretch, maybe. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:35, 30 March 2007 (EDT)
- Forstagg didn't have any witch involvement either, and you met him in a plaza, not along the side of the road, and he's still counted among the Naked Nords. In Yngvar's case, all he has going for him is you meet him on the road, and he's shirtless. I suppose he could count as merely an associate instead of having full membership in the Naked Nord club. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.14.2.104 (talk • contribs).
- Forstagg didn't actually have witch problems, but he DID mention witches, so it was clearly a deliberate reference. I don't know about Yngvar, but from what you've described, I don't think he qualifies. Many male characters are seen shirtless in the games, and the fact that this one happens to be a Nord doesn't make him any more significant than, say, Caius Cosades. (The only other topless male character I know the name of, but there's plenty of others, both in Morrowind and Oblivion.) If he were pants-less, or had a witch-problem, I'd say you had something, but from your description, I'd say it's just a coincidence. --TheRealLurlock Talk 17:42, 30 March 2007 (EDT)
