Evergreen Grove

Evergreen Grove is a grove of trees concealing a small pond fed by a rocky stream.

It can be found downstream from the Half-Moon Mill in the western portion of Falkreath Hold. There are several ancient Nordic features, including large partially submerged stones and a stone slab. The body of an alchemist lies on the slab, along with a copy of the Alchemy skill book Mannimarco, King of Worms.

Spriggans are found around the pond and a single Nirnroot can be found humming along the shore bank. Insects flock to this site and numerous dragonflies skitter across the surface of the water, as well as Luna Moths and Torchbugs at night. It can be hard to see them, but fish such as Cyrodilic Spadetail and Abacean Longfins swim in the shallow waters.

Notes

• Use of shouts and magic here can quickly send the body and book on the table flying into the pond or along the shore.
• If you follow the water upstream to Half-Moon Mill you will find a small puddle with three more Nirnroots, that lies beside the dead alchemist's unmarked camp, with his journal, a copy of the Alchemy skill book De Rerum Dirennis, and a fourth Nirnroot shortly upstream from that.
